I did enjoy this game for the five levels I played but then a problem cropped up that when I had beaten the first boss the game wouldn’t move me on to the next level. I tried everything even going back to the menu page but when I did that I found I had to play the fifth level again and still didn’t get moved on after the first boss. To be fair I requested and received a refund but was disappointed because I like this kind of game very much. I note from other reviews that no one else has said anything about this so I dodn’t know why it happened to me. Based on my love of this kind of game though, I still recommend it.

Stylish platformer. Hardcore levels based on jumps and character control , played for around 4 hours in one sitting! great detail of art and the music just went along with it! plus a great story

Captain Mayo:
The world known as The Fridge is now at peace after a devastatingly long war between two rival kings: the Mighty Onions of Hein Kingdom, and Johnny Mustard, Ruler of the Province Eggplant. The exhausted Captain Mayo is taking a well-earned break to recharge and powers and his cool and cold cabin. The war took a lot out of him, and he hasn’t been feeling the best lately. In fact, he thought he had food poisoning at one stage. Anyhow, he is resting in order to be fit as a fiddle for his mate, Kenny Ketchup’s, wedding with the beautiful Princess Bea of the Hein Kingdom, when suddenly he hears several pressing knocks at his door. His mate Kenny is beside himself, hot and sweaty (yuck, warm ketchup), speaking fast and full of nonsense. But after cooling down, Kenny Ketchup announces to his mate that the eggplants have taken over the Fridge and Johnny Mustard has kidnapped his beloved Princess Bea! That's the best joke Giorgio came up with, to try calm Felicie down when they got lost in the Great Pyramid. Meet Giorgio and Felicie. She likes reading and visiting museums and old temples. He likes beer and farting! Their visit to the Great Pyramid was a DISASTER! They got separated from their group. And entered a cursed chamber by mistake where they woke up the Great Pharaoh! The pyramid suddenly became alive with crawling mummies and other creatures. Will they put their differences aside and find their way out?

## Max and the Magic Marker
A great game for kids. Even I enjoyed it. It's a fun platformer where you have to use the mouse (your magic marker) to draw in missing platforms to help Max run through the level. No shooting, no violence whatsoever, except that you can kill the purple meanies by hitting them with your magic marker created platforms and they disappear in a cloud of smoke, almost. The game makes good use of simple gravity physics. I found it to be a great fun challenge for my 4 year old. We had fun playing together.

short version: i highly recommend this game for younger players and/or on discounts
longer version: by looking at the screen shots you can see what the concept of the game is. draw things to help the platforming. me and my niece played about 30 hours (one drawing, the other platforming) of this game when she was about 6 and she loved it (as did i :P ). the game ran smoothly and i don’t recall ever having technical difficulties with this game (at the time, 32bit vista)
why are people dissatisfied and or saying this is a kids game?

Cute, colorful, and full of lighthearted humor. I had a little trouble getting a feel for the color-swapping mechanics, but other than that, I've enjoyed what I've played so far. Looking forward to seeing how the game develops as it gets close to full release.

Mira’s Brush is a colorful take on the side-scrolling pixel-art platforming genre, a genre that defined early video games and has persisted through the years. The basic idea is that all the color has been stolen from Chromaland which is now greyscale and it is up to Mira and her brush to restore color. You can steal colors and paint and do a host of different shapes and colors to defeat or blend enemies. Sadly it is marred by clunky gameplay and tutorial and clunky menus.
The platforming aspect of the game is pretty icy and takes some frustrating moments getting used to. I found it difficult to jump high enough sometimes and it really takes more technique to get on to stuff but it is manageable, but it should be like 10% higher. The tutorial floating text is terribly placed and floats off screen and is difficult to see. Sometimes matching enemies to the background does not work.

## Paper Monsters Recut
As much as people call it a Mario Bros and Little Big Planet rip off its still a fun game. Oh lets not forget you can't get those games for PC either. So what we have here is a remake of Paper Monsters and it updates with new graphics, new level lay out and a new stage. To me its a wonderful game and not bad for the price either though I did get it for about $2\. I do request you get this game if your a fan of platformers.
There is at least one con I forget to mention its not to bad and to me easily ignored. Anyways I found the hit detection can be a little off at times where you jump on an enemy and can walk right off without killing it. However this issue is easily ignorable to me.

Paper Monsters Recut is a 2.5D platformer where the world has a charming paper Mache look to it. We play as an unnamed robot looking fellow on a quest to stop an evil dinosaur. To accomplish this we will jump on the heads of our enemies Mario style and make our way through an over-world full of levels as well as secrets. Unlocking new levels require us to collect golden paper clips which there are 3 of in each level. You can either walk all the way to the area you want or you can simply teleport there. It's a really pretty looking over-world but it can be a bit poorly designed on some spots making it difficult to go to your destination.

## Castle of Illusion
One of the best remakes I've ever played.
The original game was one of the most iconic titles on the Sega Genesis, it was 1990 so the Sonic games weren't released yet. The colorful graphics, big Mickey sprite and super detailed animation were an spectacle for that period in time when most people were used to simple 8 bit graphics. Plus, the gameplay was solid and the Disney magic was captured perfectly.
This remake impressed me since it managed to accurately retain the essence of the original despite the graphics modernization and the little gameplay changes.

Let me start by saying that the old school Castle of Illusion on Genesis / Mega Drive remains one of my favorite platformers today.
Let me also say that I was hugely, hugely, hugely disappoint by DuckTales Remastered, which I found boring and lazily done.
So I went into this with low expectations … I mean, how do you live up to a classic? Not sure it's possible, but I was extremely please with the updated Castle of Illusion on Steam. Great game. It does an excellent job taking the source material as inspiration and trying to update it without shitting all over it.

An interesting game to kill a little time after a hard day. The plot is interesting, it shows well the evolution of the main character throughout the whole game. If you are a fan of the series of games "Prehistoric", then you will love the game. I would like to see a sequel with the same funny plot and gameplay.
