Halloween Trouble 2
This is ok as a basic match 3 game. Unfortunately, it introduces many new game elements after level 9 with absolutely no explanation and no clear way to deduce what they mean, how they work, or how to play them. A simple icon/mechanics glossary page would be a simple solution. Or even a manual, but I know such archaic things as how-to-play documents are now anathema to game designers (or publishers).

Doomsday Vault is a puzzle platforming adventure that’s super chill, with a really nice soundtrack and lovely art style. The difficulty definitely ramps up over time, which is a nice and welcome challenge. I like that it isn’t super hard from the start, so you’re able to slowly learn and get used to the mechanics. The customization for the lil space suit is super cute; I have a bunch of fun updating it.
I think this game is suitable for gamers of all ages; I can see kids having a good time with this as well, although it might get a bit challenging in the later stages.

Teddy Floppy Ear - Mountain Adventure
My little daughter has absolutely loved this game and has played through it several times.
It seems to be recommended for children 5-8, but I suspect kids near the upper end of that age range will quickly play through this.
The artwork is lush, colourful and very accessible to children, and the voice acting is great, although a faint “European” accent is noticeable, which I felt only added to the game, the effect being approximately equivalent to a “neutral” accent making it easy to understand.

Teddy, Teddy, Teddy..
If this game was named Teddy Fappy Ear, it would be much more interesting!
The Story:
You’re a Teddy bear and you arrive to mountain village. First of all, you realize that your uncle is a DOG! Instead of that a poor homeless bear, who has to beg the bees for a bit of honey in the canine’s garden! What has your grandma been doing in her marriage, that’s an unsolved mystery! The story is poor, tbh.
Spoiler:
! Once you find the uncle dog at the railway station, he tells you to join him in his cabin and leaves you alone. I call this totally irresponsible. But, what could I expect from a dog, right? I just wanted to be sure, the place is safe, also I talked to the train dispatcher, but he didn’t even knew the train schedule.. Just great..

Lantern
Non-VR Review
Nice, enjoyable, pretty, very Zen flying game. As you’ve seen from the trailer or other reviews, you fly around as a lantern spreading “color” to villages and the countryside. Color is a metaphor for happiness. Very basic/skeletal story, but a pleasant one. Simple controls, although it might take a little getting used to if you haven’t “flown” before. I used a controller and never tried kb+mouse.
A few notes:
- There is no autosave or manual save. The only saved status is how many seasons (“levels”) you’ve unlocked. But when you start a season, you start with a blank “canvas”.

DON’T buy this game if you intend to play it on VR*. It will give you THE MOST INTENSE MOTION SICKNESS.
That said, Lantern is great to play on a wide monitor, it’s a peaceful experience. The goal is to recolor the world in each of the four seasons by flying around and light up villages and things. Each season has its own map which is quite large, count around 45mn on each one. You can’t die and there is no timed challenge.
In each season, you can also unlock an additional achievement for recoloring enough of the place (around 90%), and in addition they have four rune stones to find that unlock a fortune cookie haiku on a board. I really enjoyed to complete the 100% (it took me 5h), finding the four stones can be a bit of a challenge sometimes.

Mastho is Together
Precision platform is always difficult, right, no surprises. But here the level is really insane. You will suffer, but the minimalist music is well fitted and will bring you some calm. But make no mistake, you will suffer here. I recommend it for those who are experts in precision platforms at the hell level.

A really fun and hard game! Not so hard so as to make the game only beatable by experts, but surely enough to make you want to master its mechanics and think of the best way of passing through the levels. And not only do the levels ask you to be fast and precise, but often also require you to think and come up with a good strategy for beating a more delicate point.
And one of the best parts of the game: even if you keep dying and dying at the same point in a level, you will never get angry because the music is so soothing and relaxing - the perfect match for a game like this!
