Stint: Rift Apart

Stint: Rift Apart

Hey there! I am Stint, a connoisseur of vintage games. After another raid on a flea market, I returned with a wonderful loot - an unusual CD that caught my attention with it’s unusual cover. The monster, poorly drawn on paper, seemed to come to life for a moment while I was digging through the piles of junk. That’s interesting…

A platformer that promises action, shooting, lots of puzzles and unstoppable fun is a good choice for the night, according to the description. I had hardly ran the console, when the glitch appeared. It’s hard to say how many mistakes were made in the game’s code, but at some point i found myself inside the game’s world!

Captain Mayo:

The world known as The Fridge is now at peace after a devastatingly long war between two rival kings: the Mighty Onions of Hein Kingdom, and Johnny Mustard, Ruler of the Province Eggplant. The exhausted Captain Mayo is taking a well-earned break to recharge and powers and his cool and cold cabin. The war took a lot out of him, and he hasn’t been feeling the best lately. In fact, he thought he had food poisoning at one stage. Anyhow, he is resting in order to be fit as a fiddle for his mate, Kenny Ketchup’s, wedding with the beautiful Princess Bea of the Hein Kingdom, when suddenly he hears several pressing knocks at his door. His mate Kenny is beside himself, hot and sweaty (yuck, warm ketchup), speaking fast and full of nonsense. But after cooling down, Kenny Ketchup announces to his mate that the eggplants have taken over the Fridge and Johnny Mustard has kidnapped his beloved Princess Bea! Don’t worry Kenny; I’ll save your Princess because I am Captain Mayo!

## Captain Sabertooth and the Magic Diamond

Reminiscent of beloved side scroller games like Donkey Kong, Captain Sabertooth is truly a pleasure to play. The cutscenes were beautiful to watch, and some of the backgrounds were gorgeous. I especially loved scenes where you could see the pirate ship in the background, so detailed!

Controls were smooth and easy to navigate, the character actually had weight to it, making it easy to navigate jumps and tricky areas.

I especially enjoyed some of the functions like the map, where if I got lost I could steer my way back, and find where quests were.

got it for my nephew who'#s coming to stay soon. Last time he was here he enjoyed watching me play crash bandicoot but it was a bit much for him. Naturally gave it a whirl. Nice graphic flow and a it doesnt punish failure which is good for a tounger game. Cool thing to explore may have to "help" him as an excuse to have more time on it. Quality

The art and narration are good with a Nintendo style side movement and jump. Good graphics and compelling story line suitable for children.

## Get-A-Grip Chip

Get-A-Grip Chip is a fun platformer for people who know one obvious truth: The grappling hook is the best part of every video game.

Launch yourself around the screen navigating terrain and avoiding hazards. You can't jump, but you spend the majority of the game airborne. The mechanics and sound design feel crisp. The art design is fun without being overly cutesy. The difficulty is intermediate. If you sometimes play games casually with friends/family this is a game that can be picked up pretty quickly and where you can make meaningful progress without being super deftly handed. The game has full controller support, but it plays fine with a Mouse and keyboard. The checkpoints are frequent enough not to inspire extreme frustration. At the same time, each level has secrets and collectibles that require stronger play. It also has a global speedrunning scoreboard for every level, and achievements for completing every level without dying so beating levels without using the checkpoints at all and finding the fastest possible path is rewarding and gives very strong players something to do after completing the main game.

I really enjoyed this title - the mechanics are smooth and easy to employ. I played it on keyboard and mouse and the game itself recommends that the player should use a controller. I really liked keyboard and mouse. Its a great platformer to speedrun; for a greater challenge try to find all of the battery bots. There's 8 per level and some are overt, others are hidden. There's a fun rhythm grab, pull, and release. Building momentum is part of the fun. The set pieces on each level keep the game interesting. The highlight is the cute character design and the soundtrack, which I loved.

## Jungle Town: Birthday quest

Got this game with my just turned 6 year old daughter and she loved it! Played it through to the end, then half of it again. Clean art with interesting characters, neat animation, and fun music. Puzzles that are good for kids, also really showed her allot about using a mouse (probably would be great on a touch screen). There was one little bug where a piece that was required wasn't selecting (Raccoon level with wood piece), but on reloading it worked fine. The clothing design selection and cutting was a particularly fun one for her. We saw the to be continued at the end, and would gladly get the sequel (it ifs in the works), great work to the devs on this, good to see some kid content on steam.
