Lost in Terra Mora

Lost in Terra Mora

This game tried to access the internet, which is not necessary in any way. My anti-virus caught it, and I blocked it.

I got to the shack with the “secret floorboard” and it wouldn’t budge. Went to all four areas, the game gave no indication of what to do. There was no solution present, so this is either malware, or it simply doesn’t work.

-20/10.

Game looks promising but has a long way to go. Current version is good for a few hours of game play. Not worth buying at the moment, perhaps after a few more updates. Will keep game and see how it develops

The Wolf’s Den

The Wolf’s Den

The voice acting is a little rough in places, but overall it’s a fun way to eat up a few hours of your time. The Unity engine is reminiscent of a lot of mobile horror games I used to play 5 or 6 years ago, and that was pretty nostalgic for me. Either way, it seems like the dev is relatively new to game development and if that’s the case they’ve got a great start.

I really loved finding the cute octopus at the end. It’s so charming cute!!!!! 3 And the notes in every stage were very well written, I almost felt like I was reading a novel. The werewolf was indeed too spooky… (be careful for your heart attack lol). I was surprised how long the tunnel is!

Janosik 2

Janosik 2

Janosik 2 is a continuation of the story put in motion by the first game. The famed Slovakian highlander and robber Janosik just finished a quest to rescue his comrades and is now on the path to defeat even more enemies – both mythical and historical. This time around, it’s not the band of brothers that’s missing, but rather Janosik himself. Caught with an ingenious ruse, our hero must rescue himself, his beloved and make new friends on the way.

STORY

Accompany Highlander Janosik, Bogdan the Werewolf and a cloak-wrapped Vampire as they explore the dark and trap-filled castle von Zur, house to the nefarious kidnapper Baron. Trek through dense mountain forests that are home to feral dogs, headless skeletons and more, all bent on making your life harder. Bear in mind though, that there might be something even more sinister waiting for you at the end of the journey…

A bigger adventure

Three new chapters, each one bigger and filled with even more gameplay than the whole original Janosik game - and filled to the brink with new characters, enemies and environmental threats and traversal options

These Walls Were Meant to Be Broken

For the first time ever, use the powerful club of Bogdan the Vampire to smash walls to smithereens and enter places formerly off-limits

Die, Die and Repea…die Again

Lightning quick reflexes, good muscle memory and thinking two steps ahead will sadly - not be enough to finish Janosik in one sitting. But at least the checkpoints are plentiful and restarts - instanenous

Is This A Joke to You?

A highlander, a vampire and a werewolf enter a dungeon… and emerge - hopefully - with the Highlander’s rescued bride while meeting, fighting and defeating everyone and everything that stands in your way

Scenes That Cut

Enjoy the short breaks in an exhilarating experience by admiring the cutscenes that signify important events of Janosik, beautifully presented in all their full, 100+colors, hand-drawn and animated glory. You wil never skip a cutscene featuring a mountable sheep again

Get Collecting

The legend says Janosik robbed the rich to give to the poor. Janosik 2 makes good on that first part, with a real dearth of treasures, coins, diamonds and other precious stones to grab from the coffers of the manacing and power hungry villains of the game

Seeking Evil: The Wendigo

Reviwed in Virtual Reality, link to review at bottom.

I’m into horror games, and there is something legitimately unique here. I’ve played a lot that involve a chase, Amnesia, Outlast, Alien Isolation. There’s something extra in Seeking Evil: The Wendigo.

Despite being Early Access I think it’s pretty much done. There’s just a few things that might not have the required level of polish.

The Good:

VR is implemented with no grief.

Looks great in VR.

Seriously the visuals are amazing, it’s appropriately very dark, but the way things sillouette is bordering on genius at times.

Everdine - A Lost Girl’s Tale

Everdine - A Lost Girl’s Tale

Everdine - A Lost Girl’s Tale. An atmospheric, fairy tale vibes RPG Maker horror adventure.

Everdine finds herself lost in a forest of eternal twilight. Soon to be hunted by a mysterious beast, she will stumble across the remnants of others that came before her, and learn of a magical ritual that may be her only way out.

Gather the needed ingredients to complete the spell, and bring her home before the dangers of these woods devour poor Everdine.

Everdine - A Lost Girl’s Tale is for those with a soft spot for RPG Maker horror adventure games and those that enjoy the whimsical nature of fairy tales, including a bit of drama, love and darkness.

RPG Maker horror adventure games?

Think chase scenes, no battles, exploration, puzzles, multiple deaths and endings.

Features:

  • A short game focused on atmosphere and exploration.

  • Collect the needed items to escape an environment that tries to kill you.

  • Progression through exploration, solving puzzles and overcoming other obstacles.

  • Uncover the mysteries of the forest.

  • A female protagonist.

  • Lgbtq+ friendly (some gay and bisexual NPCs)

  • Inspired folklore and fairy tales.

  • Neither much gore, nor an overuse of jump scares.

Millennium 3 - Cry Wolf

Millennium 3 - Cry Wolf

Quality game all the way through. Not the top RPG (also less than top price!) but good. My second purchase of the Millennium series.

This game has custom art , music , sounds and no re-used rpgmaker stuff. The story is there and so is character development. Good stuff not great.

I would get Millennium 2 first - it’s a little better and a little longer. Millinium 1 I haven’t tried yet. Many re-used things from Millennium 2 are in the game, but many new things too.

My playtime: I have some offline playtime in this game but I finished the game in ~47.7h (100% achievement)

Grindy Achievement(s): Yes (1+ achievement, 1 achievement might take ~3h to finish).

Optional Achievement(s): No.

Difficult Achievement(s): No.

Intro

Millennium 3 - Cry Wolf is the third game of the Millennium series and a sequel to Millennium 2 - Take Me Higher . This game has a labyrinth-like dungeon, more side-scrolling dungeons, and a lot of homing enemies.

Finding the Soul Orb

Finding the Soul Orb

Finding the Soul Orb is another Tonguc Bodur walking simulator game with an element of combat involved. You are a sniper taking out werewolves, so not suitable for children!

Lush graphics are a given with Tonguc’s games and this is no exception. A lot of the combat is underground or at night, so it is a relief to come to the surface to a beautiful environment. The game is pretty linear and stepping on glowing circles activates the story.

The music was really lovely and during combat, intensified one’s experience. I didn’t find this game as relaxing as Tonguc’s other walking sims. The combat jarred a bit with me, but that is just me.

A scenic journey through an imaginative story of Werewolves and Wizards

Tonguc’s style of story telling through his beautifully detailed and surreal worlds is unique and lovingly crafted with each new game he releases. Here, you follow the story of various characters having to deal with their village under attack from Werewolves and neighbouring countries, corruption, and a touch of wizardry.

He continues to experiment, adding new features with each title. Combat is introduced for the first time, though being a simpler more basic form of it. It was a good step in the right direction, and I hope he uses this knowledge and grows with it for future games.

Sinister Halloween

Sinister Halloween

I love Halloween and I loved Trick or Treating as a kid, getting that giant bag of candy. But if you think back, it was always a mixed bag of awesome stuff along with things that you’d always pass by as you went in for the good stuff; candy corn, small boxes of raisins, orange and black wrapped chunks of gravel that would break down into soggy cardboard.

I was looking forward to playing this Halloween themed game. Like those treats, however, it’s a bit of a mixed bag. Note: I’ve only played through the original levels at this point, I’ve not done any of the added DLC levels or the Asylum expansion yet.

Real player with 6.5 hrs in game

I love Halloween and this game captures the atmosphere beautifully. At times it has the feel of a haunted house at a fun fair and that’s meant in a positive way. The graphic quality won’t blow you away and that’s such an advantage. It’s raw and sucks you in. The sounds are really nice and the scares are great. Some are simple jumps scares you see coming like at a fun fair haunted house but it doesn’t kill the mood at all. For the price, this is a really nice bug free game with quite simple puzzles but tons of atmosphere and well polished. I’ve already bought the DLC before they realise how good this game is and up the price!! I was a bit slow to realise you press “R” to reload the shotgun. Each chapter only takes about 20 mins or so, so there is no game save but if you die you aren’t sent back far. And, you can chose whatever chapter you like from the main menu. I’m halfway through and loving it so much. Many thanks to the developers for a real gem.
