Scanner Sombre
Let's start with what this is not.
It is not a game meant to be played over and over and over again, an endless loop of dopamine hits feeding a slow-burning addiction, players frantically pushing through like so much laundry on lather-rinse-repeat. A well-earned death comes not from some NPC or other players; only from your own impertinence.
It is not a game to showcase state-of-the-art graphics. Yes, everyone is well aware that Unreal Engine and Unity and so many others produce “great results”. But you can’t produce a full story arc with just eye candy. The display, while immersive and unique, isn’t here to show off.

Man, so many complaints about this being “short” or a “tech demo”. Jesus, people, it’s a $10-$12 game that just came out. Stop holding every game to the same standard, regardless of price, release date, dev team or time spent in development. If you keep bashing good games just because they’re short (to the point that no one buys the game, which is what happened here), we just won’t get them anymore.
When you go to Taco Bell, do you leave them a negative Yelp review because you would’ve preferred a $35 Porterhouse steak? You spent as much money on this game as you spend to see a 2-hour movie. Do you honestly feel like this wasn’t worth the cost of admission to a movie? If you’re judging cheap games by their length, please do everyone a favor and wait until they’re in the bargain bin before you buy. Or at least wait and read some reviews. Some of us enjoy and appreciate something fresh, even if it’s not a 30-hour experience. You don’t buy a Vespa and then sh*t on the manufacturer because it won’t do 175 on the highway.

Au-Delà
Introduction
You control a child who has to go to sleep, alone, in his house, after his parents have left. You will manage as best you can to go to sleep, remembering the instructions given by them, but everything does not go as planned. Surrounded by monsters, you will find yourself in unusual situations as you try to find out where your parents are.
The character
You control a character: a child who is alone at home. He is afraid of the dark and constantly needs his stuffed bunny with him. His movements are those of a child, he does not jump very high and does not have a large inventory.
The main objective
The main objective is to find your parents. For this purpose, you will have to explore the entire house, collect information and items, without dying, by solving puzzles or confronting monsters.
What makes this game different?
Rather than a classic approach to a 3D horror video game, Au-Delà takes the side of a 2D side view, offering a new experience by making you discover another way to appreciate the dark atmosphere of a horror game. It is especially intended for players who like to explore, solve mysteries and who are not afraid of monsters at night. This game also offers a new idea of gameplay by asking you to build OCD throughout the game, making the atmosphere more oppressive. The whole thing is accompanied by a narrative with creaky humor.

Exploration: Explore the family house and solve all the mysteries it contains.

Cosmic Awakening VR
Very Fun and scary game. The atmosphere and space station setting are both really well done. There’s a real sense of dread When you’re moving down the halls. The controls are fairly responsive although some things, like picking up certain objects, don’t seem work perfectly. I’m usually very sensitive to motion sickness when it comes to VR games, but I had no problems here. I was able to play for an extended period with no real problems. I definitely reccomend this game to any Vive owners who love a good horror experience.

First thing I want to say is I liked this game and I had no bug issues. The game ran 100% fine for me and there’s a video to prove that below. My specs are listed at the bottom.
Well this game was gifted to me so I decided to try it out. I am not very good at puzzle and discovery games as I have not played many in my life time so this one started off a bit slow for me. The atmosphere was fine and the graphics well enough and since it was horror the game went into creepy mode nearly right off the bat. The game in general starts off very slow until you kind of figure out what you need to do. There are 2 game modes. The first I wasn’t sure what to do but the story mode basically keeps you moving along a certain path, so to speak, I am guessing to a climax. In the begining exploration takes up most of your time then after you get the jist of what you probably should do the game moves faster and then gets more tense. I purposely didn’t finish the game because I was making a video and didn’t want to spoil the experience. Later this week I will continue where I left off as you can save your progress (yay!!). Look at the tags. If you like any of the tags then you should enjoy this in VR. If this was a regular game I don’t think I would have been too interested but I am looking for VR games that put me in another time and place. This fulfills that for me. I like action but I think adventure and exploration games fit VR really well since the mechanics are not very complicated and the focus can be on the environment rather than running here and there not really enjoying the setting. The price is a bit steep since I am guessing it is not super long but the quality of the game is not bad. I love Virtual Reality and scifi so this kind of game sends me there. It has many options too for graphics and other things. I say it is a buy. A number rating would be above average but only 7/10 mainly because the price is a bit high, in my opinion. Don’t expect to be very scared by this. It is more a “atmospheric tension” experience but does have some surprises which I won’t reveal in writing.

Doors of Silence - the prologue
Not recommended until the devs show some support in fixing all the problems related to controls. Yes, graphics and story thus far are good, but the controls are horrible and I have experienced a number of glitches like freezing, constant collision error message popping up every few minutes, etc.
I do not believe this game was properly tested with the Vive, Rift, and/or Index. The Devs are not responsive and have not been active since the last update, end of Jan 2020. I sent them a glitch comment and have not heard anything from the dev team….that in itself tells you that they do not care about this game, they just care about the money.

Ok so if Five nights at freddies scares you then this game is going to give you nightmares.
first class VR graphics and spine chilling audio make for a truly terrifying VR experience.
The level design is clever and although its exploration based you will not get lost and amongst the simplicity of finding keys ,unlocking doors the game induces a constant sense of dread that as a seasoned horror buff i have yet to experience elsewhere, i will go as far as to say i find the game uncomfortable and very unnerving .

FEAR background
Only a fracture of a game without a beginning or an end.
Walkthough:
The cool trailer music is from the band Auralnotes, called “How to Make a Blockbuster Movie Trailer”.

This “game” will last you around 5 minutes at best, isn’t scary, isn’t fun and actually, isn’t even really much of a game. The trailer is far more entertaining.

Horror Globes
This was a fun little horror game for sure:) I messed up a bit and misunderstood something and that led to some dying and alot of time walking around with no clue what to do. But thats all on me lol. All in all, fun little halloween horror game. Damn kids and their freaking candy!;) :)

This is the seedling of the ideal Halloween game, for which I’d gladly pay a big-game price. Seriously, they are onto something that is exactly what I’ve been looking for. It does have its issues though, which even at the current price, totally ruined it for me. I tried to detail exactly why in the forums; nobody likes negative feedback, but the mods deleted most of my comments, then called me insulting and toxic, and banned me. I’ve never been banned from anything before so this was bewildering. I attempted to get more information from them, but couldn’t get a response. I then asked for a refund which, since I’d played the game over 2 hours (struggling to solve a riddle), was of course denied. Steam Support failed to help. Buyer beware.

SEARCH PARTY: Director’s Cut
Search Party is a great game. It adds on to the original Search Party game which was released via Puppet Combo’s patreon. You may think its short, but it has a lot of secrets. If you feel like playing a fun little horror game
with amazing 2D graphics you should definitely pick this one up. Lum and Torture Star did an amazing job on this one.

The Miserable Crimson Hooded Girl
Crimson Hood is a miserable girl. She is separated from her loving mother due to mommy being unwell, and is sent away to go stay with her grandmother in her strange house deep within the woods. Crimson Hood needs to be careful however, as residing in these woods is the Gobbler, a monster who preys upon the weak. Follow her quiet tale, that descends into the unthinkable, where innocence is soiled and shadows stir.
A reimagining of the classic dark fairy tale, Little Red Riding Hood, and it’s various versions, most notably the Italian story, “The False Grandmother,” that’s over 1100 years old.
-
Featuring a unique style that takes you on a journey into a dark fairytale.
-
A strong foreboding atmosphere that doesn’t rely on cheap scares to unnerve you.

The Repairing Mantis
Okay wow. First of all, I do like the narrative, and it’s very thought-provoking, but I have to give a content warning, which is very strange because I never felt that way about the game. The game is super heavy on animal sadism, even though it’s more of a mirror for people - I am sure the devs don’t hate the flying squirrels. It’s very into the suicide themes, and it’s not subtle at all. You have to willingly harm characters and watch them suffer, so it can be a little uncomfortable. That said, having some experience with these issues, I don’t think the game misrepresents the problem at all, it’s all very close to the heart. Even better, the game also has some genuinely funny moments, which made me feel very bad for laughing, my god, that alligator dream.

I spent a good while trying to think of a way to review this game, but the only words that keep coming back to my head is that ‘it’s an experience’.
Nonetheless, I appreciate any game where you can be a mantis. Even if you have to get a little choppy-choppy on some squirrels.
I’d love to have the opportunity to hear from the games developers on the thought process behind many of the game-play decisions.
