The Award for the longest dialogs goes to…

The first impressions of the game were really good, nice character modeling and a kind of open world to walk and actually being able to walk freely and without any movement problems (because lot of games like this one throw the gameplay with absurd character movement).

The game actually presents like an apocalyptic alike game since you are looking for your parents in an dark and abandoned house with some strange elements like this one, and you can see how dark is the house when is like 2 p.m outside, but it turns in a more friendly space as much as you explore the environment (honestly I thought this was going to be a dark and scary game from the start)

An enjoyable supernatural adventure game, still in development, which is currently held back by it’s mediocre combat system.

Altruism

Altruism is a fun, short, zen adventure game by former Runescape/Jagex composer Adam Bond. The soundtrack is nice, and its overall atmosphere of selflessness makes it pleasant. Its simplicity makes it a nice relaxing break, and I think the asking price is worth it for a chill afternoon or two.

Just completed playing the early access

it took me almost 13 hours to finish the lady with red dress’s route (I guess the game is supposed to have routes since you can unlock different outfits and rooms for each) which is quite thrilling

but I spent way too much time because of bugs and replaying the game over and over lol

I’m sure that it’s going to be such a great horror game, I personally found it entertaining!

here are some tips that might help developing it

(might contain spoilers-do not read unless you’ve finished)

well, i am not into a scary game to be honest. I just want to search some game to chill on. I see the game from my friends recommendation and i think the game is kind of cute. How wrong i was….

I love how the game remind me back to Amnesia genre, but with 2D perspective. I like how the puzzle works and kind of giving me exploration mood with all of the stuff in the game.

DreamWorks Spirit Lucky’s Big Adventure

NOTE: This has functional keyboard and mouse support, contrary to what the store page claims. Aside from platforming sections being a bit janky the default layout works just fine.

This is pretty fun, but it is almost criminally short for the initial asking price. For such a massive world around the Miradero town site, there’s not a whole lot to do in it once you’ve finished the main quest. Once you complete the side quests, there is literally nothing to do in it apart from riding around on Spirit until he needs grooming.

This game is really good! Beautiful scenery, massive open world, tons of quests/errands to do for people, and, of course, an exciting story. I haven’t got through the whole story, it’s very exciting so far, though! The reason I posted this review this early, though, is because I know lots of people considering wishlisting this might not even consider it worth getting, because it says that the keyboard and mouse is not supported, but, IMPORTANT, that is incorrect information!! You CAN use it, for this game, don’t know why it says it’s not supported, in this game, very misleading….the controls in-game are just shown by what controller buttons to press, yeah, with no option in-game to look at what the keyboard key bindings are, but they are still there, nevertheless, and do work. Because I’m a PC player, more than any other console, I’m used to using a keyboard and mouse, and didn’t like the controller when I tried it out, so am now playing this game with the keyboard and mouse, and, after trying out all the keys on my keyboard, I discovered all the keyboard controls for this game, which do work:

Submerged

Submerged

Submerged

is a single player exploration/adventure game set in a partially submerged city, the remnants of an undisclosed apocalyptic event. You play as a nameless older sister trying to save the life of your younger brother who has suffered a grievous wound that has caused him to slip into a coma. What happens in this submerged city will decide the fate of both you and your brother.

Story

The story in Submerged is quite interesting in its presentation. Rather than relying on dialogue, notes, or anything coming close to resembling that, it relies solely on actual exploration which triggers events and unlocks hieroglyphic frames that in turn unveil a riveting and yet somewhat indistinct tale.

I think the biggest flaw of this game is that it fails to surprise you in any way.

I was initially going to recommend this game after playing it briefly because the premise is amazing. Exploring the ruins of a half-sunken city to find a cure for your sick brother? Strange, infected creatures? A story told without words?

And for a while, it totally is. The environment is amazing; the first time you climb a tall building, you are blown away. You notice movement behind the corner and you half-expect an ambush. A huge orca swims through the wide canals, so you take the narrow ones to keep out of danger. You avoid the green puddles with plants growing from the sea like the plague. And you’re very careful whenever you climb to avoid falling. And all of this build-up goes nowhere.

The Lost Dog

I like this game, short game with good story similar to Django game, these two indie games are with similar plot and gameplay. Both are great in their own way in cost, graphics and gameplay wise. As a dog lover I recommend these games for dog lovers, story lovers and Exploration lovers.

First off the FEEEEELS oh my God lol. I cried a few times. It’s a short game, sad story, but had a good ending. Worth the price.

My only critique would be the chapter screen, I stayed on the first one for awhile before I realized it wasn’t just a loading screen and you actually have to hit the chapter text to continue.

The Town of Light

The Town of Light

The Town of Light (ToL), developed by LKA, is the most fascinating game I’ve played so far. At first it seems like every horror/slasher game you’ve ever played, but it slowly dawns on you that ToL is much worse!

Firstly, before even starting the game, do take the time to read the Diary (included for free in later versions), and you’ll find yourself in a world of schizophrenic mania moving between the real world of fascist Italy in the late 1930s and the confusing, but always painful, world of delusion and despair as experienced by 16-year-old Renee T.

This game is going to satisfy your craving for urban exploring without getting a hammy jumpscare. I think we can all use more games like that; haunting storylines that are a different sort of scary without worrying about some half-baked monster trying to nibble on my face like I’m a bedtime snack.

The Town of Light creates a setting that is inspired by real events. Yes, the asylum in Volterra exists. Yes, some of these rooms are exactly as they are depicted. Google-fu that. It is disturbing and it weaves a sort of story that makes a person cringe and their blood run cold. For all intents and purposes, this is more like a walking simulator with a few puzzles.

Beasts of Maravilla Island

Beasts of Maravilla Island

Beast of Maravilla Island is a wonderful addition to the “fantasy animal” photography genre but with a very nice twist. IT’S NOT A “CART ON RAILS” photo safari, it’s SEMI-OPEN WORLD!!

Now that I have your attention, if chill photo safari games with adorable and well thought out animals are your jam stop reading now and go pick this one up. This game is super fun and satisfying getting all the “best” shots of all the different critters. Not to mention finding all the different critters can be a bit of a challenge as some are VERY well hidden,

Edit: So I just finished Beasts of Maravilla Island, and it was a very nice game indeed - I’m changing my review to positive, because the devs showed fantastic reactivity to the players' feedback, and that’s more than appreciable; but also because the game truly pleased me.

As said before (or after lol) it is one of peacefulness and contemplation, of nature and ourselves, as humans thus beasts, with a simple but timeless message, which felt very refreshing. Even if all the wildlife depicted in Beasts of Maravilla Island is an imaginary one, it doesn’t remove any of the game’s charm, at the contrary - as exposing existant fauna and flora might have possibly been a bit more boring to the players.

Hello Charlotte is a small, to-be three-part, RPG Maker game series.

The first episode of Hello Charlotte introduces us a wild and surreal, twisted world. It’s a small adventure filled with death, bad humor (according to the author!) and some small puzzles. I quite enjoyed it: the art is great, the setting is interesting, the music fits well. I’ve immediately grown fond of it and its world and charming characters. It has very few drawbacks of being an RPGM-game, but it’s nothing serious. It took me about 2 hours to complete as I ended up interacting with everything and dying in the process – but actually the bad ends are funny in their own way.

Oh wow! Where to begin? I had a nifty comparison all lined up in my head of Neil Gaiman’s Sandman : Dollshouse but that is doing a serious misjustice to Etherane for even though Sandman set groundbreaking standards in the Graphic Novel world making it a flattering comparison I still feel comparing Hello Charlotte to any work elsewhere is not allowing Etherane’s incredible HC Opus to be appreciated and admired on its individual merits.

This, the second Episode of Hello Charlotte, is titled Requiem Aeternam Deo which translates to Eternal rest to God and continues Charlotte Wiltshire’s journey with her Puppeteer Seth as she enters adolescence and, throughout, Charlotte attends school where we observe the usual activities that go on : bullying, cliques, friendship choices (mostly with Anri who, depending on choices made in the journey, really does fluctuate in character) and random ‘socialization’ RPG battles that are both funny and unique in the battle choices!!
