Hyperspace Harvest
Engineer and mod crops, tools, gear and weapons!
Create your own strands of plants to grow on your whale farm and optimize your crop builds according to preferences/playstyle. Modify weapon creatures with a wide variety of submods, change your tools performance for specific tasks and even alter your own body with bio-engineered symbionts.
Fresh farming in a fresh setting!
Explore the surface of the whale across its season-like life cycle of continuous death and rebirth. Use your multitool in skill-driven minigames to clear cancerous overgrowth, infected feather trees and mineral crustations. Grow self-made crops on the hex-skin of the whale and discover hidden interactions between plants, tiles and native vegetation.
(A system inspired by Permaculture, a real life concept about crop synergies.)
Juicy dungeon crawling!
Explore the different anatomic regions of the whale and fight various diseased cells, constructs and hardlight entities that have turned against their host. Use a wide variety of modable weapon creatures, both for melee and ranged combat. Make use of your Vet-Suit’s superior mobility and manage suit energy to charge shields and weapons.
Streamlined UI and Mechanics!
-
Universal tesseract inventory! No need to search through a dozen chests to find that one piece of gold ore.
-
Your whaler tool is a single item that adapts to tasks you want to carry out, but can still be upgraded in individual areas.
-
The time management aspect of the farming portion of the game does not interfere with the other core mechanics. Dungeon crawling only advances time when clearing a room and time of day pauses completely while moding gear, giving you the freedom to experiment and exploring possible builds at your own time.
-
I hope you like smells cause the game constantly tells you the current odor of your surrounding! (with more gameplay implications in the future).

Farmer’s Fairy Tale
I like the style of game. It’s quite relaxing, with no rush to complete main quests. The “timers” on certain quests is only for the extra reward and not essential to the storyline quests. The graphics are nice, the conversations and flow of the story are quite funny (in a somewhat lame kind of way). The game was a little buggy at first, but the upjers team responded to me quite fast and were very helpful to solve the problem.

I had added this game to my wishlist before it came out because it had looked so interesting. After I took the leap of faith in buying it, spending almost an hour non-stop on it, I am very pleased with this game! I was like, “FINALLY”, a game that I can do my own relaxed farming but still have objectives. Not to mention the storyline, graphics, and game sounds are not too shabby at all. They put thought into it and you can zoom in and out of the world, making the control gameplay very easy to handle. It feels like stardew valley with the concept of adding items adds energy, eat food get energy, as well as my time at portia by gathering materials and then having to craft objects. Doesn’t take a long time to get materials. I can already tell I am going to be wasting a good portion of my life on this game. Great job Farmer’s Fairy Tale!

Harvest Island
You play as Will, a kid that lives on a remote island with his father and sister. You give your harvest offerings to the gods by milking cows, petting goats, shearing sheep, and planting crops. The island is big and you’ll be able to traverse to new and unknown areas, discover wild animals that’ll hide in the thickets of trees, and explore the deep, dark, depths of the island’s caves. But you can’t wander off too far from your home. It’s safer to stay in the comfort of your farm.
-
Collect coconuts, seaweed, horseshoe crabs, and other peculiar stuff. Offer your gatherings to the gods.
-
There are tons of different types of fish that you can catch all over the island. Each fish has their own behavior and habitat. Depending on the conditions, fishing during the day, night, or far off into the corner of the island, will catch you different types of fish.
-
Craft various tools from your workbench to help you further explore the island. Create useful items like a ladder, axe, and a fishing pole.
-
The gods are always asking you for offerings. Be sure to give them what they want.
-
As time progresses, the forest, caves, and seashores changes. You can see the sunset and sunrise while the landscape changes. Or watch the fireflies come out.
-
Enjoy sunny or rainy weather. Experience animals hiding from the rain. Sometimes you’ll get a sprinkle, and other times it’ll pour down hard.
-
There are many wild animals on the island. You can befriend them, pet them, or even feed them. Sometimes they will give you items they find in the wild or show an undiscovered passage for you to explore.
-
Tides fluctuate as time progresses, changing the island’s landscape. New paths open and allow you to explore the island further than before.
Among Trees
The game is very beautiful. Game mechanics are simple and easy to pick up for laid back gamers. I expected much more from the overall sustenance in the game, I put in about ten hours of gameplay and im already finished and have everything in the game. Although there is no “end game”, I feel like I finished everything and now the game itself is rather boring.
I am also rather upset there is no audio options, I can’t disable the music or any sounds within the game. The overall audio is extremely loud in my opinion, the bears and cutting down trees are especially loud. I remember the first time running into a bear and jump in my chair because of the volume from the bear roar.

Currently as I am writing this Among Trees doesn’t seem to be being updated, this could change in the future, but the developers had said themselves, “We’ve been developing Among Trees for almost five years now and feel like we’ve taken the game to a great place. We’re planning to fix bugs and optimize the game until the end of the year, but don’t expect any major new features or content. It’s a game we could keep working on forever, but we’ll be moving on to new exciting projects for now!”, Seems to me the game was quite literally abandoned on steam for a last money grab.

Farm Folks

Join Farm Folks email list to receive news about game updates and potentially get invited to test game.
After washing ashore on Softshoal Island, you are given a chance at a new life. A plot of land awaits your green thumb to transform it into a booming farm, and a new world beckons you to explore its secrets.
Farm Folks offers a delightful mix of RPG and farming mechanics, giving you the freedom to get lost in the world while you build a farm from the ground up. There are many friends to be made, many crops and animals to tend, and a whole island to discover. What are you waiting for?
As you begin to nurture your plot, uncover great mysteries, and meet the citizens of the island, you’ll experience the everlasting magnificence of your new home first-hand–all while you rekindle the memories from your past that caused you to embark on this grand, exciting adventure in the first place. You never would have guessed that finding your purpose in life was just a shipwreck away…
In Farm Folks, live your life as you see fit–there are so many experiences to be had! Working the land and rearing animals is a bunch of fun, but there is so much more on offer here. Let’s run through what you can expect:
It wouldn’t be much of a farming simulator without farming, would it? Farm Folks features the time-tested farming mechanic in which players can purchase or forage seeds and begin to grow their farm into a bountiful and rewarding resource.
Once the soil is tilled and the seeds are nestled firmly into the ground, it’s time for some TLC–Tender Loving Care. You’ll water your plants daily, either by hand or through other means, until each crop has reached its maturation and it’s ready for harvest. Harvesting your hard-earned bounty can reward you in many ways, but if you’re focusing on that bottom line, then it’s time to put some coin in your purse.
After loading your haul onto your trusty mount, you’ll head into town and sell your goods to the island’s exporters. As your purse grows fatter and fatter, the farming process can be enhanced and streamlined until you’re running the island’s most booming farm.
Soon you’ll be wondering if it’s time to invest in one of those fancy mainland automobiles….or maybe someone who can help out around the farm…
Softshoal Island’s farmland is so very fertile because of the island’s local animal population and the generations they’ve spent grazing every acre of the luscious landscape. Today, farmers can continue to reap the rewards of Softshoal’s four-legged (and two-legged!) friends by giving them homes on your property.
The local forester is also a great carpenter, and he’ll make any kind of coop or stable that’s available–for a price, of course. Once the structure is built, you’ll need to stop by the nearby animal breeder to purchase some healthy livestock! Before you know it, you’ll be in the ranching business. Milk, eggs, and wool, oh my!
Nurture and care is key to making sure your livestock is producing worthwhile products. The happier your animal companions are, the higher the quality of their yield! Make sure you’ve got your brushes and special feed handy!
Sometimes reward is found outside the fences of your farm. You’ll need to explore the wonderful and diverse settings of Softshoal to find the valuable items that can’t be found on a shelf in the local general store. These resources include minerals and materials for upgrading your tools–usually mined from Softshoal’s extensive cave system, or fish and other precious sea life that can be fished from the island’s various rivers, lakes and coastlines.
Your progression is enhanced by what you find in the wilds of Softshoal, and sometimes searching for something trivial can lead to a grand adventure you never saw coming. Get out there and see what you can find–don’t forget your pickaxe and fishing rod!
Softshoal’s local community is a character-rich roster of living and breathing souls, all of which are just waiting to share their story with you. From those that live in the island’s coastal town, Port Meridia, to those found out in the wilds, Farm Folks features a diverse, well-thought cast of over thirty characters.
You’ll meet them, find ways to further your relationships with them, and soon you’ll know each one by name. These citizens offer quests a-plenty, and spout dialogue that’ll keep you coming back for more. High relationships come with high rewards, but don’t think everybody in Softshoal is going to be easy to please…
The seeds you sow in the community will quickly begin to bear fruit. However, you better be careful not to grow weeds! Build your relationships with townsfolk by giving them gifts, attending special events, performing quests, and remembering their birthdays. Earn enough favor and maybe the townsfolk will begin giving you gifts in kind. Some nuts are harder to crack than others, but with some finesse, they just might come around. You never know - you might even find love out there.
There’s beauty and intrigue found in every corner of Softshoal. It’s a compelling place that calls the player ever further into the mysterious woods, down into the dangerous caves. As you explore, you’ll see things that you’ll never forget and you’ll experience adventures worth re-telling.
And where better to relay your stories of heroism than back in Port Meridia? This fair-sized town has plenty of places to kick back and enjoy a day away from the farm, but it’s also home to the many festivals that you don’t want to miss!
Every season brings with it a great calendar of holidays that are perfect cause for celebration. You’ll find the townsfolk have a festival for nearly every one of those occasions. Make sure you’re there!
Your character is a reflection of your personality (we assume that deep inside, everyone is an attractive, island-dwelling farmer). As such, they can be customized in any way you desire, including your gender. After creating a glorious persona, we know there will be fashionistas who want to take it a step further. Want to give them a more epic hairstyle or outfit? Visit the barber or tailor! You will soon become a shining star in the farming community.
And so much more!
Farm Folks is whatever you make of it. It’s an adventure driven entirely by you. There is so much more to discover and so much more fun to be had when you get creative. Live this pleasant life to the best of your abilities and become the greatest farmer that Softshoal has ever seen!
SunnySide
You’ve purchased your first plot of land in an aging post town in the heart of the Japanese countryside. Now, it’s up to you to create a homestead to be proud of. Cultivate the land, nurture your budding crops, and care for your animals. Use technology to keep in touch with new friends, access online shopping, and store your favorite farm fresh recipes.
Spend time getting to know the residents of SunnySide - old and new - all while balancing your newfound farm life. Don’t forget to take pause and enjoy the wonders of the Japanese landscape whilst discovering more about yourself and the world around you.
Modernize your farming experience with new technology that brings the classic, farming sim genre to the 21st century. Build solar panels, electric water pumps, contemporary machines for food production, and continuously upgrade your tech to improve your farming experience.
In SunnySide, we want you to enjoy all aspects of farming, especially in growing your own food. With modern technology, you can worry less about tedious daily tasks and more on living a life of balance.
With a focus on individuality, you will be provided with unique opportunities that allow for creative freedom and self-expression. Your avatar, homestead, and even your in-game cell phone can all be tailored to your preferences and desires. Customize buildings, layouts, decorations, clothing, hair, and more on your journey of self- discovery.
A proper homestead is self-sufficient, and your home in SunnySide is no different. Learn to collect your own water, generate power, grow and craft various food items, and cultivate your land to help support the local economy.
When SunnySide fully releases, you’ll be able to ferment your own soy sauce, slice tofu, grow and grind flour at the local mill, and craft artisan cheeses. The real magic of food, however, is what happens in the kitchen. Take produce a step further by cooking a wide variety of dishes in a kitchen you’ll be able to design and upgrade yourself. Nothing satisfies hunger like a home cooked meal after a long day’s work.
While a quiet life in the countryside is nice, life in SunnySide isn’t perfect. The locals have distinct personalities, stories, and issues which - through your decisions - can be uncovered. SunnySide has spent the last decade on a steady decline, but perhaps you’ll be the one to breathe new life into this desolate town.
Form bonds, join groups, attend events, and maybe even find someone special to share your days with.
Disclaimer: This game does not contain watering cans, shipping containers, incessant gifting, mayonnaise machines, and endless walking.
Survival Engine
Well to start with this is a very well made little demonstration for a mere advertisement.
It really is too bad that it’s creator does not seem to have any intent to turn this into a full survival game as it is actually very fun and has incredible potential, it has it’s flaws to be sure but with some polish and care it could be one of the best indie survival games on steam and with it’s low system requirements it would end up in most survival gamers libraries as long as it was priced reasonably as a full game.

This is a really cute game. When I downloaded it I had no idea it was just a demo so I completed everything really quickly but i love the mechanics of the game and overall play style! I personally would like the ability to move my camera angles and select a space for my character to move to without them getting stuck but other than that I had fun playing!

Forest Farm
This is entirely playable without a VR headset and has full mouse and keyboard support.
Forest Farm is the perfect answer if you want a game that has zero stress and tons of truly hands-on things to do. Your primary goal at this point in development is basically to plan out and create the perfect farm, all the while working around an oft-growing rabbit infestation. Essentially, it goes something like this: chop down tree mill lumber while growing new trees from recovered seeds craft fences/raised garden beds from lumber safely grow lots of produce profit off crop sales to villagers reinvest coin into further expansion. You also have your faithful cart horse Pedro to aid you in quickly shifting large amounts of produce from field to market, complete with first-person reins which actually work. As well, there are side activities of fishing and mining to turn a profit via fish and gem/potion sales.

Farm Expert 2017
Motto: If you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree , it will always feel stupid compared to a monkey.
For the experts, this game is like an Early Acces, For new players, the gamea looks prommising.
I am not a farming simulator expert but I think this Farm Expert 2017 is better then Farming Simulator 15. it has better terrain physics and animations plus it looks more detailed. Consider the game a mixture of Spintires and FS15. It also has some repairing vehicle features similar to Farm Mechanic Simulator 15.

When considering this game, one should also consider it’s price tag. What do you expect?
Yes, the game has a heap of bugs. Yes the game’s physics are a bit weird.
Basically, what SILDEN trys to do is to provide a little more realistic spin on farming than the rather arcady market leader while being enjoyable as a game (ploughing at 15 km/h? Not in this game. Although, you could - it is only very hard to control).
Machines get dirty and decay - but can be fixed. The ground is dynamic (ploughing feels like ploughing, not like painting a surface with a different texture), it has greenhouses in which you actually have to ‘work’ to get something and orchards - both with their own set of tools.
