Selfloss

Selfloss

Selfloss is a story-driven adventure game about a kind old man, set in a fantasy world based on ancient Russian and Icelandic myths. Use the light of your staff to defeat mythical creatures and help those in need. Perform a ceremony called “Selfloss” to heal your own wounded soul.

The old man hears the cry of an unknown animal and is eager to find it and help it. And thus your adventure begins…

  • The magical staff is central to the game’s mechanics and story.

  • Combat is strategic and dynamic. You control the character and his staff simultaneously and independently: the magic staff levitates around the protagonist, generating spells.

  • You can explore the world of Selfloss on foot or by boat, discovering Slavic and Icelandic myths along the way as you help others overcome their hardships and grief.

  • A unique sea-worshiping world with whale gods, resembling the landscapes of Iceland.

  • The art style was inspired by postimpressionism, and the colors of Selfloss were chosen with reference to color theories, particularly Simultaneous Contrast theory.

DreamWorks Spirit Lucky’s Big Adventure

NOTE: This has functional keyboard and mouse support, contrary to what the store page claims. Aside from platforming sections being a bit janky the default layout works just fine.

This is pretty fun, but it is almost criminally short for the initial asking price. For such a massive world around the Miradero town site, there’s not a whole lot to do in it once you’ve finished the main quest. Once you complete the side quests, there is literally nothing to do in it apart from riding around on Spirit until he needs grooming.

This game is really good! Beautiful scenery, massive open world, tons of quests/errands to do for people, and, of course, an exciting story. I haven’t got through the whole story, it’s very exciting so far, though! The reason I posted this review this early, though, is because I know lots of people considering wishlisting this might not even consider it worth getting, because it says that the keyboard and mouse is not supported, but, IMPORTANT, that is incorrect information!! You CAN use it, for this game, don’t know why it says it’s not supported, in this game, very misleading….the controls in-game are just shown by what controller buttons to press, yeah, with no option in-game to look at what the keyboard key bindings are, but they are still there, nevertheless, and do work. Because I’m a PC player, more than any other console, I’m used to using a keyboard and mouse, and didn’t like the controller when I tried it out, so am now playing this game with the keyboard and mouse, and, after trying out all the keys on my keyboard, I discovered all the keyboard controls for this game, which do work:

Monster Outbreak

Monster Outbreak

About The Game

Monster Outbreak is a wave defence game at its core. You start with a resource building and gathering phase, followed by a wave of monster combat. How you do it is up to you, but you need to craft and build your tools:

  • Melee and ranged weapons, from swords to bows to magical staffs

  • Weapon based structures like the bomb slingshot and crossbow turret

  • Trap structures like spike traps and bomb tripwires

  • Weapon enchantments for elemental attacks

Feature List

  • Wave survival. Fight as long as you can!

  • Single player campaign, local split-screen, and online co-op

  • Variety of monsters! The dimensions are always letting through new creatures, from carnivorous plants to wolves!

  • Bosses that spawn as you go, including the giant rock golem

  • Weapon and item crafting with the items dropped by monsters and scavenged from the battlefield

  • Structure construction like the crossbow turret and the bomb-javelin launcher

The Story

It all started when they found the Dimensional Orb. Humanity just couldn’t help themselves. The Orb was too tempting. We now had the ability to explore alternate realities, see things that we never could have imagined ourselves. Of course, when the orb began to go out of our control, we were now faced with an invasion from multiple dimensions.

Yulia, a surviving Royal Guard is now the last hope. With monsters everywhere, the only way forward is to find the orb and destroy it once and for all.

  • A lot of hidden collectibles require you to look carefully

TLDR : 8/10 Great Classic Adventure experience that is fun to play!

Youtube 5 Minute review

The Lightbringer is a great experience that reminds me of classics like Spyro and Crash, as well as Legend of Zelda.

The levels, puzzles, and collectibles are more reminiscent of Spyro and Crash, where you can explore, discover, and collect at your own pace, just to get that full clear stamp of achievement. The baddies on the other hand nod more toward Legend of Zelda, needing you to understand a bit about how they work to navigate them. Boss fights are arena style big bads, and need some quick thinking to understand movesets, and identify ways to damage the enemy.

Altruism

Altruism

Altruism is a fun, short, zen adventure game by former Runescape/Jagex composer Adam Bond. The soundtrack is nice, and its overall atmosphere of selflessness makes it pleasant. Its simplicity makes it a nice relaxing break, and I think the asking price is worth it for a chill afternoon or two.

Catsploration

Catsploration

You have lived nearly your entire life deep underground, watched over by a kind old man. However, it’s time to move forward. Rupert told you to seek out a being named Alvin, but he did not say why. Alvin loves to read and is likely to be found in the Library of Cats. Regardless of a reason, that sounds like a much nicer place to be than in these deep echoing tunnels. Let’s go!

Key Features

  • A character controller dense with abilities. You will have access to double, triple, and long jumps. You can leap upwards, jump off walls and dash forward with a variety of speeds.

  • As the pet of a wizard, you have access to many magical trinkets. Transform into a crow or light your way with a candle’s flame.

  • Difficult gameplay.

    Gameplay

Catsploration is a game where we explore digital heritage and creative commons works. As a cat. There aren’t many RPG elements yet, but I do hope to tell a story as I get further along with development. Although I hope this is something everyone can enjoy, I will definitely be focusing on the type of gameplay found in games like Mario64, A Hat in Time, ALTF4, and similar.

    Community

Well, there isn’t one, yet! This game is just getting started. I hope to launch into Early Access on April 1st. Please join my Discord if you’d like to give suggestions about new levels or new music to include, as long as it’s a creative commons work or from the public domain. Or, maybe you’d just like to say, “hi!”

A really interesting puzzle-platformer game. Strange mechanics. Divide yourself and sacrifice your bodies. Throw your body into spike pits and climb on your own head. I always felt bad for those lost.

Use of a controller is HIGHLY recommended

The combination of colour, flowing movement, “soulful” electronic drone and a musical stunning score combine to make Sole a meditative, lonely yet beautiful experience. There is some “light” puzzling to work through and an ancient alphabet to collect which can be used to translate the writings found scattered throughout the game levels. Translating the writings was a lot of fun for me as many give small insights into the creation of the game, while others are simple messages from the team.

This is basically a walking/flying simulator with some small “puzzles” that are really not hard. The visuals and music are beautiful. I actually feel frustrated at the size of the world, because there is SO much to explore and a lot of it feels copy-pasted. As an achievement hunter, I’m gonna feel the need to play again so I can get the rest of the achievements, but I’ll take a break first.

This is the only game that’s ever given me vertigo– the mechanics are a bit clunky sometimes and the perspective can flip quickly, so beware if you are sensitive to this. I found the best way to play is in a dark room with blue light glasses.

A great retro platformer with a stunning style, thoughtful level design and honed gameplay that will not get bored for a long time. Well, for lovers of collecting and discovering secrets here is a real expanse!!

Великолепный ретро-платформер с потрясающей стилистикой, продуманным дизайном уровней и отточенным геймплеем, который не надоест продолжительное время. Ну а для любителей коллекционирования и открытия секретов тут настоящее раздолье!!

A solid old-school platformer with nice pixel graphics, good level design and really challenging difficult. But, however, a 4-year-old child really likes the duckling (the child loves similar games at Nintendo Switch) and can try and try this levels for a long long time. Funny achievements with easter-eggs also adds some sort of charm to that game 3
