Meat & Greed

Meat & Greed

Meat & Greed is a 3D side scroller puzzle platformer game set in a slaughterhouse.

By controlling cows, chickens, and other animals, the player has the ability to manipulate the environment to solve puzzles, and eventually escape the place. Intense atmosphere of horror and visual narration will help to convey criticisms of the modern meat industry beyond a supermarket shelf.

All puzzle indie game lovers, as well as environmentally cautious players will appreciate both the moral goal and the refreshing approach to movement, switching between playable characters, and narrative design of the game.

Why did you create Muslim 3D?

There are hardly any products with decent quality that would portray our faith accurately. If you found Muslims in games at all, there’s a good chance they were holding an AK-47 rifle and needed to be gunned down. This only strengthened my wish to work on something that enable people to relate to our rich Islamic history, and to use this wonderful, strong medium - video games - to unearth the vast knowledge unfortunately not taught at schools or in mass media, such as how Muslim scientists have contributed to our world, or why we have certain rituals and where they come from. Muslim 3D can also be an accessible tool for Non-Muslims to learn about Islam and may even help tear down walls of fear built over the past decades." (Bilal Chbib, Founder & Creative Director)

Blair Witch VR

Blair Witch VR

My who family use the VR set but its easy for me, my brother and dad to find games, whoever, that’s not the case for my mum who prefers mystery and puzzle games but she liked the look of this and wanted to leave her comfort zone and to say the least we were all pleasantly surprised, the story is good and there’s plenty of times were were laughing at whoever was playing as they froze in place from being too scared.

You can for sure zoom past through the game but we take turn and take time to uncover everything we can, 13/17 chapters done with nearly 10 hours which was a nice surprise lengthwise.

Do you like taking long walks in the woods with your dog and occasionally wetting your pants in sheer terror? Well then, have I got the game for you! Ok, so this is kind of a mixed bag but it’s a pretty good horror game for VR. Let’s talk pros and cons:

The Good:

It’s a pretty well-made game with great atmosphere. The first ~4 hours, in the woods, are about a 4/10 on the spookiness scale, atmospheric but nothing really scary, but the last ~2 hours, in the house, the spookiness gets cranked up to about 8/10 with bursts of 11/10. It was pretty intense in VR and I had to change my pants a few times… I also liked how the documents had a pop-out window for text that made them very easy to read. Reading text in VR is not always fun but this was a good and intuitive solution.

It’s Not About The End

It’s Not About The End

Although the game was very short, I can say that it filled me with peace. Except for a few bugs, I found it quite successful. Of course, you shouldn’t expect too much. It was a game that I finished over and over again by enjoying it in general terms. It could have been nicer if it was longer. It was a gripping game that I wanted it to never end. I also liked the graphics and I can say that the atmosphere of the game is really amazing.

This game has some good visuals. Not the best, but they are pretty decent. You might have to mess with the settings a bit to find that sweet spot or else the game will be laggy or have some sickening motion blur. The story confused me a little bit at times. It has easy achievements if that is your thing. Some of the objects were boring to find mainly because the area is so big and spread out. It’s a nice game to play if you want to take a break from Overwatch, Destiny, DOTA, or any other chaotic game.

Where the Snow Settles

Where the Snow Settles

Absolutely loved Where the Snow Settles! It’s a beautifully put together game with a wonderful narrative and art style. I additionally loved the soundtrack and would often have the game playing in the background whilst I would work from home because I loved it that much. Great to see an Australia team do such terrific work!

Real player with 6.0 hrs in game

Where the Snow Settles is a gorgeous cinematic experience that’s almost perfectly sized, easily playable over a single long session or two smaller ones.

Find Yourself

Find Yourself

I’m not quite sure if I enjoyed this game but I definitely don’t think I disliked it. I played Locked Up before playing this game and the dev does show some progression but the same basic premise is used in both games. Walk around and/or interact with certain items to trigger the next event. The biggest plus is that this game has a running option! So, it makes the game feel a lot less sluggish than Locked Up. There was a part where you were actively chased, which I thought seemed a bit unnecessary and out of place. However, it did add in a bit of a different kind of suspense, but I didn’t really like it. Unlike Locked Up, the main character can die which I did enjoy.

EMIKA_GAMES is definitely a horror up-and-comer! Their first being Locked Up (LU) a bold haunted house starter. But one which I concluded was undone by its story and the overbearing, ravaging sound effects instead of the much-needed subtler silence to give a healthy mix. I had no notion this 2nd title Find Yourself (FY) was even in production, because I thought their 3rd From Day to Day in development now was going to be it!

Midnight Scenes Episode 2 (Special Edition)

Midnight Scenes Episode 2 (Special Edition)

I really like this series. After ‘The Highway’, this game is another Twilight zone inspired point ‘n click game. It’s very short, but don’t let that stop you from playing this. The artwork, music, story is great and it really plays as a twilight zone episode. I hope the developer makes more of these games… and maybe in the future he can bundle them in one game with a overarching storyline like tales from the crypt.

Real player with 0.8 hrs in game

I had played this one last night and I saw major improvements on the developers part, what started off as a sad story quickly takes a turn for the worst for our character. I truely had fun with this one and was looking forward to playing the next one

Lightyears from Home

Lightyears from Home

Set in a solar system far from Earth, “Lightyears from Home” is a sci-fi game that puts the player in the shoes of an engineer following clues to an unknown galaxy in search of someone who had long gone missing. The story begins with the player exploring Glacier IV, a geothermal ice planet that was formerly explored by a major mining company before being abandoned due to unexplained casualties.

While a story-based metroidvania game at heart, “Lightyears from Home” will incorporate mechanics from various game genres, including survival, crafting, and RPG, to create a uniquely player-driven experience. The player faces not only the planet’s wildlife but also the environment itself, providing a constant challenge to the exploration of the game world.
