It’s been a while since I played a game that genuinely made my cry…

Night Reverie is a wholesome, sweet and deep ride in a mysterious house filled with puzzles, nostalgic pixel art and that kind of music you save for later.

Beautiful pixel art style made with love. The color composition of the different levels of the game are in tune with a nostalgic and warm vibe, making you get in the mood for the experience the game has to offer.

The narrative is the most important aspect of the game, it has this wholesome style that will make you smile and laugh almost the whole game. But I promise you will get surprised.

Speaking as someone who has a really hard time deciding on what RPG games are worth and not worth buying, this game immediately had me intrigued. The story is uniquely crafted and enjoyable, characters are charming with a healthy mix of humorous dialogue with many deep and emotional story beats tied into them as well. The Soundtrack is also one of the best I’ve heard for an RPG game in a long while! Only issue i had with it is the run-time of 6 hours. Can’t wait for the next installment when it comes!

Very fun game! Great characters, art, and the comedy and story is also top notch. I’m happy Playism got vgperson on as the translator as she did great justice on the translation! It was a very fun game to playthrough and I never wanted to put it down and stop! There was one bug I noticed with the timer not changing if you reload a save near the end of the game but it was easily remedied with a quit to title reload. Other than that one thing, I noticed no bugs, and I’ve played through the entire game.

This game is right up my alley! From the very beginning it oozes charm and hilarity. The pace is swift and the characters intriguing. I’ve smiled constantly and laughed out loud many times. It delivers straight away and is delightfully observed too - for anyone into history, literature, cinema. I think I’ll have to watch Tall Story Games closely and see what they do next!

I played this game after enjoying the demo for Lucy Dreaming - so much so that I joined the kick starter for it! This is a lovely game, beautifully made and with a great, dark sense of humour. The fact that this was made in just 2 weeks makes it even more impressive! A few of the puzzles really had me scratching my head (pun intended!) but it was always just difficult enough to be engaging, rather than infuriating.

If you liked this, then I highly recommend Lucy Dreaming.

This is a very entertaining game worth its full early access price. I am sure you already know what it reminds you of but it has its own charm. Some key advantages it has over -those- games you are thinking about is that the torch can be placed on hotbar to help you see in the dark areas without having it selected. This means you no longer need to place a thousand torches just to see where you are digging underground at the beginning like in Terraria. You get to capture pets in this game too and they can level up and learn passives. A few of these monsters can be used as mounts. You can put these pets into special pet houses where they will earn xp overtime. Decorating inside of their houses with the proper furniture will boost the rate. Monsters have tiers so finding the higher tier ones will get higher tier passives usually or more HP/attack bonuses. Put a male and female together in house and they will produce an egg granted they are same kind of monster. They will produce egg easier when they love their home more I think (represented by heart meter)

Not the best, but a nice pixel platformer, with obstacles, one of which is definitely taken from the game Plants vs Zombies, which is pretty cool. Of the disadvantages, only a too fast character, which is hard to control, but you can get used to it over time. 6/10, I advise you to play if you need to kill time.

To be honest, I expected that, like all platformers, this game will have the same problems as other representatives of the genres, but fortunately, this is not the case and the game is definitely worth your attention, especially for such a paltry price :3

You will want two things: your headphones, and to read the game’s manual before playing.

Even then, this isn’t for everyone. If it is for you, you’ll find a hypnotic soundscape worth exploring.

I would describe it as an audio-only walking simulator; there are minimal graphics (as you can see in the screenshots), but you can even turn them off completely and play only by sound. There are waypoints that you can hear, and you can walk from one to the next on a trance-like journey, finding strangely relaxing varied soundscapes. There aren’t many games like this; of those somewhat similar that I played, it reminded me most of Proteus – but the focus on audio is of course much higher here.

Errrrrm, okaym well the ‘game’ does what it says you walk around and noises occur. pressing buttons on the controller did stuff and if I;m honest I have no clue as to what I was doing.

One big thing missing currently for a game that the Visually Impaired can play is Text to Speech in the menus. I dug around with my maginfier in hand and found a list of random settings, but no real accessibility options page.

I got in game and walked around randomly heading towards some sounds. Arrived at a sound and nothing seemed to happen, is this sound a ‘breadcrumb’? it got louder and more annoying as I approached. Found a button on the controller that made a boing noise.

You Are Not a Banana: Better Edition

You Are Not a Banana: Better Edition

Introduction

You Are Not A Banana is a pixel styled adventure/puzzle game set it everyday life. The big reason I liked this game is because of the humor and the really cool soundtrack. The basis of You Are Not A Banana is you follow a man as he goes through a day. Weird and odd things happen, and plenty of little puzzles are present throughout the game. You Are Not A Banana is very short, but the price tag of $2 is reasonable for the time. There is controller support, but the game doesn’t have different icons for the buttons in game. This game is very quirky and is not for everyone, but it is definitely worth a look at.

SUCH a fun and cute game! At first I was a little unsure but each new ability was a very clever mechanic and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It took me about an hour of gameplay to get through the whole thing so if you want a short diversion, this is it.
