Distant Transmission
I think this idea has a lot of potential, it’s a very fresh take on this genre of games but i really think the execution needs to be ironed out. I’m recommending this because i really do think this is such a great idea, but for example: the switching out of verbs imo really ruins it at some parts because sentences end up making 0 sense. It would a lot funnier if this game was more about improv writing exercises and then reading those out with your friends. Personally i would scrap the verb swapping entirely but i also wouldn’t mind if it was done less and the word changes had context behind them so it wouldn’t ruin every sentence.

Starship Intruder
First off the bat - I have never played anything like this before; controlling a space game with typing commands. Disclaimer: I only use Steam for the new Red Alert: Remastered, but I learned of this game on FB.
You’ll have to like the following to enjoy the game: 1 bit graphics and typing.
You’ll die a lot at first, but you will find a method to the madness and learn to use commands and when to use what weapons. I usually take out everything in a level and then raid the planet.

A bizarre smash up of star trek bridge crew and typing of the dead.
You need to carefully manage you ammo and prioritize between maneauvering attacking and defending, each action requiring a lengthy string to be typed perfectly.
Very original concept great for booting up when you just feel like playing for a short session

Typefighters (Steam Edition)
I’m gonna keep it very short and very.. whatever. I played this game a year ago and I took it again now just for fun xD
Well, I won only one thing in my entire life - European championships for typing speed or something like this. I mean, various titles in the same “competition” type XD
One can probably argue that this is one of the many causes that forced me to undergo surgery three times on my right hand, but this is another story.. xD
Well, I have always typed like at 700-800 characters per minute (NOT WPM, that means WORDS per minute! 800 words per minute I think not even an octopus). So this game was one of my very first choices on Steam.

This game has very great potential and I love the way it’s programmed. It has a very simple design, focusing only on the typing with no superfluous graphic distractions. The amount of modes is nice, and provides variety for those who want a simple game to play, and it also offers multiplayer options with people online. I personally play the Stream Mode, as it lets you know your WPM (since I purchased the game to help me type faster). HOWEVER. At the time of this review, I am VERY disappointed in the word choices: fake words, misspelled words, Roman numerals, acronyms, unnecessary apostrophes, proper nouns that aren’t capitalized, and way too many words about reproductive organs. I’m not sure if users are the ones who contribute to the word lists, but since you have to be online to play this game anyway, I think it would be better if the game just pulled words from an online dictionary instead.

Progressbar95
I liked unlocking new operating systems, and overall, any game with a skin of Windows 95 on it, I like it.
That being said, I did notice some awkward wording that was carried over into the PC port.
“Select a right button to continue.” should read “Select the right button to continue.”
For Progress Defender with the Antivirus, it says “Database need to be updated.” Not only is this not a complete sentence, it has the plural form of need. You could put something along the lines of either, “The database needs to be updated” if you’re looking to complete the sentence, or “The malware database needs to be updated.”

It’s a nice, fun game if you like casual arcade-like action and nostalgia for graphical user interfaces. The goal is easy, but the game introduces enough obstacles and game modes to shake things up, allowing for a fun and challenging experience.
I will say, though, that it’s still transitioning from mobile to desktop. Some elements, such as the pinball, are still confined to a horizontal play area. Dragging the progress bar over a movable desktop item can immediately cause the cursor to drag the desktop item instead, even if the player doesn’t let go of the mouse. On a related note, the right mouse button doesn’t do anything in-game.
