The Day They Came

The Day They Came

So I was really curious about this game, sadly the developer got a little excited and released this game way too early.

The game has no enemies, no options menu, no way to exit the game or instructions.

Once you chop down some trees that fall and then spaz out due to some crazy physics all you can do is access a build menu that let’s you create some walls, steps, floor, door, base and I couldn’t use the floor as a ceiling like it suggested.

The game has at least a 30 minute night cycle making it almost impossible to do anything, much less see.

I think this idea has a lot of potential, it’s a very fresh take on this genre of games but i really think the execution needs to be ironed out. I’m recommending this because i really do think this is such a great idea, but for example: the switching out of verbs imo really ruins it at some parts because sentences end up making 0 sense. It would a lot funnier if this game was more about improv writing exercises and then reading those out with your friends. Personally i would scrap the verb swapping entirely but i also wouldn’t mind if it was done less and the word changes had context behind them so it wouldn’t ruin every sentence.

Car Puzzle: Round Ways

Car Puzzle: Round Ways

It makes an error when a car collides with a pizza delivery coming out of a delivery point. While pizza deliveries move backward when they leave the points, the developers have not programmed how to deal it when a car collides with the back of another one. It makes the game get totally stuck, so I have to turn off and restart the game.

Round Ways is a mobile port of a free game that has nothing new to offer in the paid version. The features listed on the Play Store and Steam are exactly the same word for word. It’s a bad port too with relics of the mobile version still intact with a clunky mouse only interface for finger sliding/tapping. It is more of a quick reaction time game than it is puzzle that just doesn’t work well on the PC. The core design has the player switching cars between tracks by tapping the switches, which is much easier to do on a touch screen phone where the player can have their fingers lined up with multiple switches at once vs on the PC where the player can only click one switch at a time and requires dragging the mouse to the next switch. Each level is fairly simplistic, but the time limit and switch limits for getting 3 star ratings become too cumbersome on the PC version. As early as level 13 it’s like the dev just gave up on the level design and flat out admits the level does not have a solution and instructs the player to use an auto-abduction power-up that passes the level. After this point the entire game can just be auto-completed and it’s hard to tell which levels actually have a solution anymore. Just play the free version on a touch screen phone.

Just read!

It’s so sad to see the good game being completely unknown. Perhaps you’re not sure about quality of this game. I understand, - it only has a few reviews, and yep, it’s only made by one person, which usually means that the game wouldn’t be good enough, but this one… is surely exception. Frankly speaking, i also thought it’s going to be something typical, like most of modern indie horror games. And yet, “i gave it a try”, and completely changed my mind. This game is awesome, and here’s why:

EBE

EBE

EBE is an action-adventure game set on a planet in the Lyra constellation. The player takes the role of a small extraterrestrial biological entity (EBE), who recovers a strange micro-device from a humanoid alien lying dead in his crashed flying saucer. Using this device, the player will be able to connect to an alien network, solve puzzles, see distant locations (some of them on Earth), and bring back to life alien entities to contact the player himself.

EBE takes you on a visit to another planet teeming with life, from strange PSI energy-producing plants to small insect-like creatures. Everywhere you can find remnants of alien civilization: old buildings, antennae, and communication devices.

No replay value, the voices are annoying, a trump joke, this game just sucks. Also you have to be under 18 to be get with the Make A Wish foundation and something is revealed later which confirms your over 18.

the closest thing to twisted metal that exists. very good car combat game

Okay, so…

Fuck the other two games - flesh out Carnage Cross as much as humanely possible. This is the closest the Twisted Metal fan-base will ever get to a spiritual successor since Sony decided to elbow-drop Twisted Metal for good. Wait until at least 1.0 to keep working on Sanitize or Starglades.

I know some of the suggestions I’m gonna make are already on your roadmap - AND I DON’T CARE. I’ll repeat them infinitely into the fucking VOID if need be.

● ONLINE MULTIPLAYER. DO IT.

● NONE of the vehicles should have auto-aim machine guns - all of their guns should fire directly forward. Auto-aim should be either a power-up or a special ability. With that being said…

Was watching this game for a while, stalking it so to speak and finally it is here, and it is not what I expected. But since I did not know what to expect I had to fall back to wondering if it was good, no need to wonder anymore. The game so far seems very good and quite groovy. Finally a good looking VR game that I can relax and enjoy.

Will post more as game goes on, but I would recommend this for sure, it is very unique.

You can view my gameplay & initial impressions review here: https://youtu.be/qV7ks_inAs0

So my first impression of the game was not very good. I wasn’t having fun and the game just didn’t look good in VR. The 3D graphics just didn’t pop. Plus, on top of that the motion controllers are used like laser pointers where you press trigger as a one button controller. Finally, there wasn’t a tutorial or explanation for anything that you were doing.

I switched to an Xbox One controller. It was a combination of gaze-based navigation and one button controls. It felt very odd at first, but seemed more seamless than the motion controllers. I started going further into the levels and I was starting to have some fun. The further I went, the trickier the levels got. New elements are introduced which change up what you’ve been doing and the goal isn’t always the same in every level.

Zibbs - Alien Survival

Update:

Good run on the survival spin as an alien. Had fun, yet I dont see myself building another UFO to escape earth. Still, refreshing survival without getting to complicated.

=====================

This little gem sucks you in. I’m having fun with the trial and error of being a little green man on earth.

The help section can be a little overwhelming, but they have links to youtube videos that demonstrates what you’re reading.

Wish it had coop or multiplayer.

Zibbs - Alien Survival is a open world survival game, where you playing as an alien and you have to survive on Earth until you can make an UFO and get off from the planet.

First things first, the graphocs looks okay. For 2020 it’s not really anything special, but works as intended. What I don’t like it, is if you see something in the distance is so blurry in my opinion or you can see it partially. Also the some UI element should get a better artwork (bar at the top left) and the forest should get a better graphics in general, more grass and give it bit more life. Adding more effects for the game would be awesome too!
