A review from someone who’s started playing on day 2 of PC release:
Not as good as it could be, but it’s an early access game to keep an eye on. Key words: Early Access.
To start, it is very obviously pc port of a P2W mobile game. It’s monetization copies Clash Royale, being that you gain card for each of your characters through winning games and/or buying them directly with buyable in-game currency. You then use the cards to upgrade your characters through currency obtained the same ways. For some reason, I don’t seem to be getting matched in multiplayer with people who have realized this is a thing yet.

Tactical Monsters - Strategy Edition
Tactical Monsters Strategy Edition is a special version of Tactical Monsters.
Based on the connect6 rules for monsters deployment on the field and fight turns order, brings a fresh new playstyle concept which comes very close to a game of chess with the addition of strategic passive skills.

Lucky me gets to write the first review for Lostria.. I think? I feel like this is not the full, proper game, but a beta test, but this is unclear from the store page exactly what you’re getting into. For that reason, in an exception to my general rule (in fact for the first time in over 5,000 Steam reviews), I’ll invite the developer to correct me if I’m wrong about my observations and opinions about this game, because it does appear to be completely free, which earns developers a large amount of goodwill.

Base Wars
Base Wars is a unique strategy concept, it feels mechanically similar to RTS games like Age of Empires and Starcraft but packaged in a turn based format. I’d describe it as chess without a grid.
I’ve been following development for a couple years and the game is actively getting updates every month or two. As of 1.0 the core gameplay is great. Online games are easy to set up and the map editor is very in-depth. There are some missing extras like a full singleplayer campaign and a replay system, but those are claimed to be coming soon.

Pro Strategy Football 2021
Another excellent release for this series, and this latest one is a HUGE upgrade over last year’s version. The ability to customize - already a major feature and differentiator between this game and others like it - has been greatly expanded so that pretty much leagues of any size (up to 130 teams) can be used in Single Season play, and leagues up to 32 teams (and as few as 8) can be used in Career mode. A quasi-Free Agency feature has been added as well, that is optional to use. In addition, career stats are tracked, and stat files in text format can be exported from any season or career in progress. A player encyclopedia is included that tracks all players in a career over an almost infinite number of seasons. I have simmed through as many as 25 and the results remain believable and consistent.

TLDR: At bottom.
I love this game. Right off the bat I want to make it clear that this is more of a coach / match simulator than a management sim, as I think that is important to note before entering the game, incase you are expecting something different than what it is.
I would love to see more management mechanics introduced, such as mid season trading, roster changes etc, and I believe there are discussion threads saying new things will be looked at for the next version of the game. For what the game is though, its a very enjoyable sim, with realistic match outcomes. I currently play a sim only league with the NFL and Draft mods. So I haven’t even touched the real meat and potatoes of the game with the ingame play calling

devs should stop prompting player to rate the game over and over every 3 match! i’m not convince yet to giving out any good or bad review yet but this prompt keep appearing which annoy me and made the game less fun.
i’m going to re-review this game later. for now yeah bad review for needless pop up and needless clicking.
edit :
now that i’ve been playing for 20 hours i’m confident to giving out review. though i don’t think i’m close to completely master the depth of this game so i avoid talking about balance or meta stuff. those things changes every month anyway.

Mixed on this game because I want to see where it goes and if they introduce something original (counter spells, fast spells, double attack ability or is it just going to be back and forth the whole time) After playing Legends of Runeterra, which has only been out this year, but perfected and introduced a ton of new mechanics to the CCG world, this game doesn’t even compare. Still a little confused why this game exists it’s basically Shadowverse early stage without voice acting and a ton of other mechanics. Some confusing things such as you can’t check cards stats of what they do by clicking on the card in hand, I forgot half the time what the card actually does and I’m playing it blindy. Haven’t figured out how to emote yet, you can’t even see each others players name during a match, the card collection search is a mess (Legends of Runeterra you can search by keyword for abilities to help build your deck faster),

Screeps: Arena
Screeps: Arena is an online RTS PvP-only game. Your script fights other players' script autonomously in a match-based arena environment.
Features:
-
All aspects of an RTS game: gathering resources, base building, creating and upgrading units.
-
You don’t control your units directly, you play by writing full-fledged JavaScript that runs on game servers.
-
Other languages are supported via WebAssembly : C/C++, Rust, TypeScript, Go, C#, F#, Kotlin, Swift, D, Pascal, Zig, the list is growing.
-
Your code is executed autonomously while fighting other players' code during series of short fast-paced 1x1 matchups.
-
The system will match equal opponents based on your arena rating that changes with every rating game.
-
Different “arenas” (multiplayer game modes) each with its own rules set and goals covering many aspects of a strategy game.
-
Only basic programming skills are required. However, if you are a pro developer, now is the chance to put your skills to the limit!
-
We will introduce new arenas every season so that you always have to write new code for different challenges.
-
Play with friends and design your own challenges and arenas.

I’m definitely biassed, but I’m super proud to be a part of it and this game is already incredible.
And it will be even better once we reach the finished version!

Super Club Soccer
Game is still in the thick of development, but a new patch was just released that allows players to form teams and compete in friendly matches which adds a huge amount of depth that was missing. Soon seasons will be added too.
When you read the negative reviews, keep in mind that this game is not meant to be played with bots. It really shines when you can get a team together and start building chemistry, and play against actual people.
If you haven’t played yet or had a bad experience, be sure to find yourself a team and hop on the discord.

For people that like the tactical side of Football this is a great game to get into. The aim of the game is to play as a Defender, Midfielder or Forward and you control a player in a 11 a side game with the rest of your team being controlled by other players.
A 90 minute game lasts about 60 minutes and consists of turns where you control your player by moving, passing, defending and attacking.
When you receive the ball you have a option menu come up that allows you to run with ball or try a low pass or a high pass to a team mate.

Valve got greedy.
Apparently Valve forgot everything they learned from TF2, CS:GO and Dota2. Making fun games fully accessible to everyone. Online games without players and communities are destined to fail.
But… Nope. Valve decides to exclude 90% of the World.
-
Pay for the game.
-
Pay for cards to play the game, making the best cards the rarest and therefore most expensive. (when they said power level wouldn’t be related to rarity)
-
Pay to enter prize modes.
-
Take a % cut of prize mode entry fees.

Valve has literally abandoned the game…
Edit: 13/03/2021
This game was so hyped at the time, and for me, the gameplay lived up to it for me when it launched, it was so different from everything that I’ve tried before and I did not even know Dota 2 universe… But after years waiting for something, it’s finally Official, both versions of the game, Classic and Foundry, will not be in further development… Here is some of the main things that were impactful during all this time being a casual player.
