100 Doors Game - Escape from School

100 Doors Game - Escape from School

Mia is trapped in school, help her get out by solving puzzles in this escape room type of game.

In order to exit the school you’ll have to solve and unlock 140 doors.

All those rooms are split up in 16 different categories such as chemistry, history, music, sport and so on.

The game is filled with unique, very creative and well designed levels, with a lot of variation in the puzzle’s which get harder as you progress.

Some puzzles are extremely difficult and none of them give any explanations.

I have completed the entire game and I can assure you that this isn’t for kids.

Dont get this game even tho its free.

I will sum it up with saying that the game is just bad and that it might be free but (I believe that its because) they added micro transaction into it (I will explain later)

Now I did give it a good try and made sure I past all the puzzles (with hints and skips will explain later) before posting this.

Some problems with the game:

The first puzzles are too easy even for kids to solve and its just wasting time, no idea why they are in there.

A lot of other puzzles were so weird, with no real hints with moon logic and with getting the answer either just by spamming everything until something works, sometimes needing to click something more than once because reasons. or by using their hints/skip. All those things I really dont like in a puzzle game but this isnt even the worst ones.

Survival Escape Room

A fun horror game that actually made me jump multiple times. Not gory or overly-frightening so I’d recommend it to people of all ages. Excited for more escape rooms in the future!

Im sorry if I didn’t play it right or something but I got one jumpscare, got sent back to beginning and then finished the game with no problem. I will not really recommend this game as it took me 5 mins to complete. But if it was developed into something more, I will def take another look at it.

First Class Escape: The Train of Thought

I’d really like to recommend this, but that Chapter 4… it sapped the fun :( and made it almost impossible to finish the game. Great setting and ideas up to then, if sometimes let down by the execution. The co-op hosting was seamless, controls were fine, and how nice to find notes not littered with errors. I loved working out the guests, but searching a bookcase three times for that one you can interact with? Dull and frustrating. Collectables are a fun addition… sometimes they were more clever and satisfying to retrieve than solving the puzzles!

Just finished playing this game in single player mode. Overall the game was enjoyable…graphics are nicely done and the puzzles for the most part were not overly difficult. I see some people giving the game negative reviews because some of the puzzles on Level 4 were challenging…if you take your time and examine how each machine works, you can eventually solve them without the need for a walkthrough.

Having said that, this is a new game and some refinement is needed. Having to drag things with the mouse (opening drawers, turning dials, etc.) is tedious and annoying….there has to be a better way to do this. There’s also apparently no way to customize the keyboard controls and no info that I could find on which keys do what. It’s also almost impossible to read some of the notes when you pick them up…the text is tiny and I could find no way to magnify it. Playing on a large screen TV sitting maybe 5 feet away, I had to get up and stand 6" away from the text to read it.

Its a VERY hard escape the room game, probably the hardest ive played. Played for ~2hrs and i couldnt finish it… i was stuck most of the time, so not many puzzles solved or anything like that.

I think it has to do with some solutions where quite hard to make sense of.

Like, the very first puzzle, you start “chained” and have to find the code to your lock… the answer is right in front of you, but when i finally solved it, WHY would “THAT” be the combination??

There arent any clues to make me think those 2 things are related between them or even with my lock.

👍I Expect You To Fly?

I love that being trapped alone on a crashing plan adds a REAL REASON to want to escape!

Overall, you can expect a set of HIGHLY unique and “real world” based puzzles, where all the answers are there, but it’s still tricky. It’s not as “big studio polished” as the more well know and comical based “spy’s who die” escape rooms are. So don’t go in expecting that.

😃 Best way to play is…

It’s super fun to play while in our Voice Chat, so other’s can taunt/help/sabotage you in a playful way. A few in our Steam Group (link below) have been doing that and loving it. Brings a whole new level to the fun.

Paranormal Detective: Escape from the 80’s

Nice puzzle game. If you’ve played other escape room type games, you’ll like this. Lots of 80’s references and humor throughout. I had to refer to a walk through twice: once for something I should have picked up on but the other was something I may have eventually stumbled upon what they were expecting you to do (tip: just play with everything extensively!)

Looking forward to the 90’s sequel, which is already waiting in my wish list.

This game is totally RADICAL DUDE! Just played through and I loved it. Great escape room elements with so much 80s. Such cheesy acting and there is even a rap to dance to. Don’t want to give away too much. Took me about 2 hours to complete. I did search pretty thoroughly for Easter eggs and such.

The game nailed what is wrong with so many escape games.

  1. It has a great, fun story! This is lacking in so many.

  2. Everything is polished and works well! (surprisingly hard to find)

  3. A great length! I have played waaaay too many 15 to 20 minute experiences. This took me well over an hour to explore, complete the puzzles, and complete the end.

Cryptic Rooms

Cryptic Rooms

A series of 3 VR escape rooms, Eye Eaters Basement, Dungeon of Demise, and Inescapable Hypercube. You must navigate through and solve puzzles, each room with its own unique theme and hidden relics that can be found and collected.

In Eye Eaters Basement, you have been kidnapped and tied to a chair in a dark damp room. The person that kidnapped you has just ran from the room because a red light started flashing and he left in a panic. You must find a way to escape before they return.

VR: Vacate the Room (Virtual Reality Escape)

VR: Vacate the Room (Virtual Reality Escape)

For those of you who are interested in room escape experiences, I recommend VR: Vacate the Room. While the initial experience may seem a bit easy or short for the experienced player, it is very well done. Overall physics of the game are very cool & certainly add to the overall game play. There are a few minor flaws. Objects are sometimes difficult to pick-up off the floor. While there is an in-game work around, it sometimes can get frustrating and decreases the overall immersion. Also while the room has a cool atmosphere, the fact it is so dark makes it a bit difficult in VR if you can’t figure out what to do next. You can “replay” the room with different and considerably more difficult puzzles once you escape the initial room. This adds some replay value to a game which is relatively inexpensive. I hope to see some more Vacate Rooms from this developer as the experience translates very well on VR.

Absolutely love this game. It’s a relatively short experience ( 1 hour). But it’s priced appropriately. This game would serve as a good introduction to the Escape Room genre. The room-scale design is great. No need to teleport (even though it’s not a con). The puzzles are simple enough to be enjoyable. There’s no leap of logic here. The in-game clues are spot on. (Spoiler Alert: the only doen side I could see is that shorter players may be at a disadvantage. This is something the dev should consider)

Escape Simulator

Escape Simulator

Great and fun co-op game. the puzzle difficulty is just right. the interactivity with the environment is good (you can pickup some objects, throw them, inspect them together with co-op friends, but some object can only be drag around). Looking forward for the new level update from the developer and high quality workshop level from the community. I hope the developer would expand the capability of the level editor to facilitate that.

Update :

Ok, so the additional 58 hours since the first review was mostly (80%-90%) consisted of me trying to play around with the editor and eventually created a level in the workshop which you can find here :

Escape Simulator is one of the few escape room games that can be played with one or more friends, in online co-op mode. In fact, while the game can be experienced in its entirety in solo mode as well, it was clearly designed with the multiplayer feature in mind.

Escape Simulator is structured in very small one-room levels that are all available to play from the beginning (there are no requirements to unlock them) and which are grouped according to their theme. At the moment of the release, the game features 16 levels in total (a tutorial, and 5 levels each, belonging to an Egypt / space / Victorian mansion theme) with more to come in the near future (5 more levels have been announced as a free port-release path). Aside from this, players can create their own rooms and share them with the community, since the game also has a Steam-integrated workshop.

Palindrome Syndrome: Escape Room

Palindrome Syndrome: Escape Room

Palindrome Syndrome is an “escape room” style game somewhat like the Room series. Unlike some games of this type, where there can be a lot of concurrent puzzles to solve and backtracking to various other parts of the game with puzzle pieces obtained by solving other puzzles, Palindrome Syndrome is fairly linear; each section has a set number of puzzles that are related to each other, you solve them, progress to the next section, and never have to revisit the previous section again.

I found the puzzles to be pretty challenging; some had written clues in the form of message logs relating to them, but the majority of them require you to observe your surroundings and intuit what exactly needs to be done. I was able to figure out almost all of them, although there were a couple of those puzzles with a series of switches where each one makes the other switches move in a certain way and the goal is to get them all set to the “on” position at the same time where I just clicked a bit randomly until it worked. I didn’t have to brute force anything else. This is good because this game does not have any kind of “hint” system like similar games.
