Mirrored - Chapter 1
Well, I guess I’m an idiot. Some of these puzzles absolutely required a walkthrough because I would never have guessed them. I can say with confidence that I would never have
! associated the positions on a map with the numeric keypad, especially when there was a card right there with a series of numbers on it. Also, the hint for the PC password was ambiguous. I kept thinking
! the order of knowledge referred to some sort of think tank or university because “order” also means “collective of people”, like an order of knights. And while I did manage to find the
! volume five clue, I had the expectation that I would need to actually
! click volume 5 to see inside of it because that’s what needed to be done before.

Mirrored is the first of a series of point and click adventure games. However I can’t recommend this game for a number of reasons.
It is common for games to be split into chapters so we don’t expect the story to be completed. . With achievements for completing chapters for this it appears to have more content. In reality this doesn’t have enough content to justify it as a chapter. It feels more like a demo or an introduction.
It’s nice to have an interactive 3D environment and the artwork is a good standard. Unfortunately as the whole game is set in an office there is no variety. When you combine a right item you complete a chapter, get a cut scene and you are back in the office again. You have to use and combine all the necessary items to finish the game but only certain items will trigger another chapter.

Fears to Fathom - Home Alone
Very nice concept for horror game, I don’t usually like games with jump scares because in my opinion, jumpscares are lazy way to make the game scary, I enjoy terrifying and creepy atmosphere, but with this game, the jumpscares are fine, they are not forced like in other horror games as being part of the storyline, you can play the game without experiencing these jump scares and that is what I really like, however if you encounter any of these jumpscares, they are really well made and will spook you the first time encountering them. The atmosphere is really well nailed as well, I also enjoy the VHS tape feeling of the “screen”, this is someones story and this VHS tape feel reminds me of it. I’m terrible at describing things but what I can say very well, I am more than enjoying this game and looking forward of playing through the next and other future episodes!

The Gallery - Episode 1: Call of the Starseed
WOW! This is why I bought a Vive! Full Immersion into a great story.
I would highly recommend this game to anyone who values the art of the medium that is video games. Is it a game where you shoot people’s heads off and blow up building for hours? No. But the Gallery is incredibly well crafted, thought through, and engaging by its own merit.
More than any other vr game thus far, I was struck with mystery and wonder.
A must have for you VR library.
As far as the negative views because of the price: please remember that these guys aren’t billion dollar production companies. Yes, the original price of $30 was pretty steep but I doubt these guys are pricing it that way just to screw us over or be greedy. They spent countless hours with a small team of creators (not a hundred of hired hands) and created something beautiful for us to enjoy. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to want something back for that effort (so that they can keep working on more products!). You won’t find a good painting being sold for less than a $100, so why not support these artists with $30? I’m just so tired of people complaining about artist’s high prices because they are comparing those prices to mass production goods. They can’t compete with those prices! This is why good artists starve while we complain about “nothing good/original coming out.” Invest in what you want to see more of. That’s the only way they are going to be able to keep making good products.

The game is really well put together and is one of the most compelling experiences on the Vive so far.
But I simply cannot recommend the game based on the amount of content in the game. It took me a fair amount of time to solve the couple of (actually very simple) puzzles that are there, the time taken mostly by not noticing visual clues which lead to the solution of the puzzle. But even with this relatively slow problem solving the whole game lasted 90mins. Its like a single level of a game.
I fully understand the tiny market the developers are dealing with here and they would like to pay their own wages and invest in the future of the platform, but I have come away from this game feeling very impressed with the content that is there but unhappy with the amount of it.

SiN Episodes: Emergence
After rushing 24 hours total with this. I´m done. I´ve played all the maps(story i mean), fanmade, Sin 1 Source maps, EVERYTHING. (those all i could find and download). I examined every place in all maps totally. So the fun would not end.
Positive things about this game:
-AI, so much better than in any other source game, enemies can get wounded, and can´t move, just noticed that in last map i played, they kick things at you, shoots exploding barrels (and maybe kick them towards you after that), they can melee better, using head example, they throw your grenades back to you(i think, i´m not sure about this one) and they can get health from healthstations example. So it´s more challangening to fight them.

A wise woman once said “born to stink, forced to smell”. In an age where the games industry was still finding its footing, smaller studios that once battled the giants for a foothold in the mainstream had to resort to workflows and content delivery methods that were less than conventional in an attempt to secure funding. Ritual Entertainment, one such company, found themselves in this precise predicament after their generally unrewarded work on SiN and Counter-Strike left them seeking a new source of income.

Deus Ex: The Fall
Deus Ex: The Fall should be taken for what it is. A mobile entry into the Deus Ex Universe. Admittedly, I’m a fan of the universe and getting another chance to play in this world, is something I am always looking forward to. So there may be some bias.
One thing that must first be noted, is that this game is a direct port from Mobile. If you look at what the game offers from a mobile perspective, it’s pretty amazing. I wouldn’t actually want to play it on mobile, as I can’t imagine pulling off some of the stuff I do with just gestures, but hey, more power to those who want to.

After completing a masterpiece Human Revolution and writing review on it, it seemed that there was only Mankind Divided left on the horizon and that’s all, the series is complete! But no! There was one more game that is rarely talked about (like with Invisible War) – Deus Ex: The Fall. Many told me that this is crap, but it is the direct sequel to the Deus Ex: Icarus Effect book, which I liked. So, like with Invisible War, I decided to check myself, what this game is, and… things turned to be no so simple…

Half-Life 2: Episode One
The release of this Episode signified a hope of something bigger coming in the near future. We got that with The Orange Box and Episode Two wouldn’t have been possible without the evolution the Half-Life architecture went through in Episode One.
It’s evident that this installment is mainly about Alyx, her emotions, reactions and her relationship with Gordon. In the beginning, she is delighted to find you amidst the rubble. She is given a lot of space to express her anxiety about going back inside the Citadel to delay the reactor’s core’s meltdown and whispers your name at the very end of the Episode.

Half-Life 2: Episode One begine right where Half-Life 2 ended, and continues the story of Dr.Gordon Freeman in City 17, however, this time, the priority remains to escape the city following the events of Half-Life 2.
With updated lighting and AI for deuteragonist Alyx Vance, and expanded usage for the Gravity Gun, Half-Life 2: Episode One continues Half-Life 2’s usage of advanced graphics, physics, music and writing to create a game that is both rich in gameplay, plot, and emotion. Like its predecessor, it uses training techniques to allow for a more fluid experience, and utilizes the game’s physics engine to a full. With excellent performances by its cast, it’s able to greatly explain the story of Gordon and Alyx escaping City 17.

Tarzan VR™ Issue #1 - THE GREAT APE
I grew up reading graphic novels and Sunday newspaper comics. Tarzan happened to be one of those syndicated comics and that’s how I discovered the legendary character and a whole cast of supporting characters.
Stonepunk Studios has taken that hand-drawn comic aesthetic and drops VR players into the jungle as Tarzan himself. Well, technically, his hands.
The first issue, “The Great Ape” sets up a big adventure where you have to swing, swim, fight and explore in an effort to save the jungle from “bad men”.

I’m using i7 7700K (4.5 Ghz), GTX 1080 8GB and 16GB 3200 MHz - and both Valve Index and Rift CV1. Although many textures are very low-res, there are also many nice/great textures, but none even remotely close to Alyx. Still the game looks great - and I like being able to just explore.
The world feels alive and breathing. Did go into the water and it suddenly got deep - and in my mind I started hearing music from Jaws, and I was very quick to get out of the water, lol.
Performance and image quality are great with the Index - 4xMSAA, render scale 1.0 and all other settings maxed make the game look close to the best it can. Motion smoothing is my friend, not my enemy, and I’ll probably need a 3080 to use render scale 1.5 - but MSAA seems most important to reduce jaggies.

VideoHole: Episode I
It’s a fun lil romp with cute characters to talk to, although it’s kinda buggy at the end of the game (Just talk to the ‘Constable’ and book it where you need to go… trust me on this, you don’t want to be frozen). The story was so interesting, I was determined to see the ending, so going through all the bugs end-game was so worth it; unless they weren’t bugs… and actually…–nevermind, spoilerz!~ Also, a strange thing to note, but it recognizes the gamepad for most of the game, ‘cept the ..last telephone that require you hitting the ‘E’ key, though it’s only a minor thing.

great stuff, deep stuff, beautiful stuff.
Aesthetics, transitions and presentation are on-point, with a fantastic script as well.
Video hole starts off very quirky and light-weight, before sneakily turning into a poignant, melancholic piece of art (as all great art does). The ending is a punch in the gut, the characters remind me of my own friends (if they didn’t all end up crazy :P ), and you can see the developer baring their soul through this.
I was very moved, without really expecting it.
Strongly recommended.

Demonic Blade
I thought it will be a regular story, but it was so much better than expected. The gameplay is negligible -from what i’ve seen, the decisions doesn’t affect the ending in this one-, and it limits to tell the story and branch just some dialogue by the choices you make. Not a revolutionary storytelling, but the characters were memorable for the duration of the game, and for the price, it was a good shot for me.
Recommended for anyone who is curious about it, and who wants a small and self-contained story. Not a game changer, but a good one, at least for any sensible soul.
