From what I’ve seen so far, it’s a pretty solid game. I also like a lot the simple art. I don’t know if there were supposed to be music or SFX, because I didn’t hear any. I think working on that would make the game better :)

Great game. It takes me back to the side scrolling games I loved as a kid, though it has more depth and explores the concepts of mental health through beautiful visuals and complex stage design. I cannot recommend this enough, I love it.

How I learned to Skate

How I learned to Skate

“This is a story about how I learned to skate. It was hard…"

How I learned to Skate is a desperately difficult ice-skating challenge about a boy learning to skate for the first time, following an increasingly burdensome path, chasing after the girl he could never have.

Gameplay

Control individual legs and body tilt to move the ice-skater with a mouse or a controller. It’s simple.

  • Raise a leg

  • Choose a direction

  • Release the leg

  • Tilt the body to turn

Additional info

This game is all about learning and mastering a new unique mechanic.

  • A challenge with checkpoints.

  • Inspired by a Warcraft 3 mod that I love, Polar Escape 5

  • Merged together with instantaneous mouse controls from Getting Over It

  • Takes roughly 12 hours to complete, depending on how fast you learn. Roughly 3 hours for the demo.

The Seven Stages

The Seven Stages

As an avid puzzle solver and escape room expert like myself, I found the seven stages to be refreshing. The rooms are very well designed for puzzle solving and the soundtrack completes the mood. the levels are really good and create a feeling of nostalgia. The puzzles are challenging and can get frustrating because of the headset. Would reccommend to anyone that likes a big challenge!

This game has bright, fun colors, soothing sound design and great levels. As the description says, this game is not for everyone. It’s pretty damn hard and you definitly get your moneys worth in puzzles espcially since it’s still in development.

Brain Meltdown - Into Despair

Brain Meltdown - Into Despair

If you’re a fan of platformers, (and preferably good at them lol), and this has piqued your interest, buy it. You’ll definitely enjoy it.

It’s a fun little game. At the time of me writing this, there aren’t too many levels yet, but it’s a very fun premise that I’m surprised hasn’t really been explored much.

Level design is pretty solid. Makes use of a lot of different types of mechanics that play to the double-player premise.

The game also has a very nice art style. It’s a nice plus to have two really colorful, cute characters to look at while you stew over how to beat the next section. lol

8/10

Beautiful game. Difficult as hell, and Rage Inducing like God’s power to smite sinners. This game also has one of the most beautiful Soundtrack of its time, with beautiful artwork to back it up. Cute, Intense, fun, Painful.

The only downside which happens way too much is that every now and then when starting a new profile, after around 20 deaths or so the game decides to blackout. The menu can still be accessed through sound navigation but after restarting the game, the same issue occurs. The only hope is to delete the save file and start fresh.

Happenlance

A beautiful and addictive addition to the asldfj;oaisheouhigoiu genre. Highly recommended.

I like the game. Happenlances approach to teach things is like how it was done back in the 8bit days. Levels are designed in a way that you have to learn to do new tricks in order to continue, and you don’t get any annoying tooltips or small videos that show you what you have to do. You really have to figure things out yourself. And oh boy it gets challenging and fast.

Only thing that i would add, is somekind of collectibles in hard places. That way when you get better in the game, you would revisit some maps to get those collectibles that you couldn’t get before.

I enjoyed this game, Definitely worth picking. Awesome soundtrack, incredible feeling of accomplishment when you beat it.

The platforms are so clever positioned that it becomes addicting when you can’t figure it out. Good luck on your journey on your way up.

Hi, I’m the current world record holder (8 minutes) for this game and also the voice actor of Michael the Rat, so pretty much a big deal in the MEGAJUMP community. I admit I struggled a lot in the beginning and also in the end. However, after farming enough OMEGALULs I decided to stop pretending and just jumped up.

I might be a bit biased concerning this product but I will try to give an objective review of this modern masterpiece of a game:

  • it’s good

  • it’s cheap

  • amazing soundtrack

  • very good voice acting

Microgravity

Microgravity

Consider VVVVVV instead.

Microgravity attempts to copy and simplify the magic of VVVVVV. It fails. Holding up or down for too long causes you change gravity twice, screwing up whatever play you were attempting and effectively ruining what might have otherwise been a perfectly mediocre game. I can’t find any way to exit the game besides force-quitting, nor is there a volume control. Unless an update improves the mechanics, hard pass on this one.
