Train Mechanic Simulator 2017

Train Mechanic Simulator 2017

Jumping on board with the fad over the last few years of developing simulators, those who developed Train Mechanic Simulator 2017 have tapped into a market that has seen success already. Being a fan of railways myself, such a game is unique and appeals to my interests directly. So I purchased the game last Friday and beat it in only a few hours. Overall, here is what you can expect/ take away from this game.

Pros:

1)This is the only such game of its kind that I know of, and so since it was unique, I appreciate its existence quite a bit.

OK i wanna start this off as saying i havent 100% completed the game before so take what i say with a grain of salt. also this will be both a review and a expression of suggestions for if these new devs do make a new train mechanic sim game.

First off as a train lover so naturally i was drawn to this game and have been playing it on and off with few month breaks inbetween since its release. the whole rescuing trains thing is a cool and unique addition and the fact it covers diesels, electrics AND steam locos is cool as hell. i do actually love how theres different workbenches for different things unlike car mechanic simulator where its all done at one.

First of all, I paid for this game. It’s fun, and I WILL continue to play. However, the paid version has annoying glitches. For my first 2 stops, passengers board and alight as they do in the free version. On the third stop, they board and alight only after you press i for the “please stand clear” announcement will platform passengers board. But then, the box showing passengers stops showing passengers. Subsequent stops show people boarding/alighting only after press i, and no on-screen credit for, or information on them. IT SEEMS, however, that if you finish the route then choose Depot, then you will see credit for the passengers that boarded at the stations in question. There are more bugs to discover. I paid, so I just want it to work properly. However, it’s fun, and I play.

The game only acts in subway view. Would like to get help from Steam/ Valve, or someone. there is no manual

to help. I do not like the Discussions. Take a long time to find your problem. Take your money and do not offer any solutions, except to refer you to a third party. Well I bought this game on their advertisement and now I cannot get my money back because they said I have played it for 4 hrs. That 4 hours was spent mostly trying to get the game working. I would not recommend this site to anyone!!

LOGistICAL 3

I simply can’t recommend it because of its really bad UI/UX design, the enormous amounts of bugs and almost complete lack of documentation.

I’ve been playing LOGistICAL on and off for almost two years now. This entry is another really fun one. The series has come a long way since the first entries, which are all still very enjoyable. I recommend you try them all.

This game is as advertised. My son always wants to join in during the few times I get time to game. Being able to help him develop some computer skills and have fun at the same time is worth it.

This game sucks. Do not buy it. My 3 year old knows his geography. I bought it for the geography puzzle, but the game will not allow him to play any of them until he beats the baby games, which bore him. So, i fully wasted $12.99. my 3 yr old is not distracted at all. The baby is screaming and i fucking HATE this computer game passionately.

Metro Simulator

Metro Simulator

I really enjoyed the game so far, even tho it’s only early access. The train models and stations look very nice (every station looks very close to it’s real couterpart). Tho in some places, texture quality could be better (for example written text on information boards in stations). Also AI sometimes doesn’t make sense, for example in passenger mode I can wait for 15 minutes with no train arriving. Sometimes it’s also very hard to keep schedule (it’s too tight in my opinion, but good thing is you can change it by yourself). The signalling system works quite good in my opinion, tho already an update has been announce which will make it even better probably. The physics of the trains seem quite realistic, tho breaks seem to be very weak, even on emergency break application. But maybe that’s normal for Moscow’s subway trains.

Revised Review, Aug 29, 2021:

To put it briefly…

Those who have enjoyed the World of Subways games will most likely enjoy Metro Simulator as well but beware of AI traffic, it can mess up your ride!

From graphics to presentation to game depth, there’s nothing that really stands out, but at its core it’s a solid but limited Metro simulator with believable physics, well-designed stations, and passengers who get on, sit down, and get off at their stations.

However, you should be able to overlook some minor issues like passengers slightly clipping through objects or the inconsistent texture quality; and the switch arrows floating in the tunnels are somewhat immersion-breaking.
