Shuttle Commander
This sim needs a lot of work. I won’t give it a thumbs down because it was fun going through the missions, and the scenery was very enjoyable in VR. A lot of love went into creating this but it falls far short of a real sim. The take off is nice, but you don’t do anything. There should at least be some external views if this is more of a take off demo than an actual sim. Also, they forgot the TWANG! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmLeGBIj6kw - It was a glaring oversight. The landing also falls short because of there being no rudder control. On the plus side though, the landing does have a multi camera replay which is great to have. All together though, it’s a nice experience although a little pricey for what you get. Hopefully there’ll be some improvements to come.

They should train astronauts with this. Feel the tension and joy from the launch in real time from the Kennedy Space Center and as Space Shuttle Discovery blasts upwards through our atmosphere, you can’t help to grip tighter on the controllers and look worryingly at the controls if an alarm goes off. The launch is what I will be showing the family over Christmas.
When I get to space the work only begins as I have to deploy Hubble and then I’m tasked with all the service missions. I could manoeuvre around outside in a spacesuit and work as an astronaut. My Rift-S controllers feel as if they were booster controls at the end of my arm. Got a great sense of Hubble’s size as I boosted up beside her.

Thumbelina
This is a player through the control of a small plane, by hitting the sprinkler to water plants, by throwing bombs to eliminate pests to get points, after finishing the game to get plants or pests in Chinese and English pronunciation and spelling as a reward.
VR Museum
A tremendous power lies in VR. Anything you imagine, anywhere you dream, any time you envision - it can get you there.
Have you ever wondered what the Handley-Page 42 looked like in real life? Or what size was a Messerschmitt Me-323 Gigant? Or Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria? All of them are long since gone, but with the incredible power of virtual reality they can be brought back to life. And this is what the VR Museum was created for.
There are many great inventions that are only known from drawings and blurry photos. And many of them are already 3D-modelled and scattered around the net. The idea behind the VR Museum is to locate them, refurb if necessery, and show here for everyone to see. Starting from airplanes, the Museum’s collection will grow to become more interdisciplinary in the future.

RealFlight Trainer Edition
Awesome rc flight training simulation for absolute beginners like me! The best part is that I’ve been able to learn to fly my first rc trainer on RealFlight before I even take the maiden flight with my real Sport Cub S2. And I got my early crashes out of the way with no consequences!

A good introduction to RC flight training; there are lessons for the beginner and SAFE modes that limit the aircraft controls to keep you from crashing. I flew RC aircraft before, but you get rusty (especially when the aircraft (a/c) is facing you. My cousin recommended the AeroScout S as a refresher a/c. I followed his suggestion and then found Real Flight Trainer Edition. This version of the software is half the price of RF9 but has the same airplane I will be flying, along with several others.

No Exit : Torments of Hell
You’re a bat who can’t fly - only spider sling. Don’t touch the ground or you’ll die. Simple addicting and at times frustrating - but in the fun way that you’ll want to try again.

Full disclosure: I received this game from the developer because I already own some of their software products.
Quite a deceptively tricky little game. You basically need to go from one end of a level to the next using a grappling hook, but of course as you progress the game throws more challenges. Interface is simple as are the controls, the graphics are good and the sound track varied, and you have a campaign mode and an endless mode to challenge yourself with.

Aerofly FS 2 Flight Simulator
Very Highly Recommended. As a retired real world pilot that spends most of the day with flight sims I have now found the best of the best. Sure, it is still growing and has a long ways to go but, for now, nothing else does what Aerofly FS 2 does for me.
I have two full hardware setups. My original triple monitor / Saitek hardware 6th gen rig that I have used for the last 12 months and a Volair Flight Sim cockpit with a brand new Alienware 8th gen Intel processor with a 1080 Ti card. This was purchased during the Christmas holidays along with a Oculus Rift VR.

I have an embarrassing amount of time in flight simulators, dating all the way back to sublogic’s product in the early 80s. I am a real convert to Aerofly, and I bought my VR gear specifically to handle it - and it was absolutely worth the investment.
I’ve been using this sim now for months, and let me begin by saying what this is… and isn’t (at least yet).
For me, this sim has achieved what I’ve wanted all these years; the actual illusion of flight. I wanted the chance to feel the size and layout of the cockpit and to feel that pull in your guy when you dive through mountains, or make a daring landing. I love the fact that in the P-38 I have to look around the control column to see some of the gauges. I love the feel of the airplanes and how each has a unique character to flight. Of course, any of you using FSX,P4D, or Xplane have had these features for a long time. Aerofly and VR really recreates the feeling of flight. I’ve had a bunch of people try out my rig of course, and the reaction is always the same; incredible excitement, followed by the freedom that comes from flying anywhere you want. In short, it’s what I always wanted flight simming to be.

aerofly RC 8
Aerofly RC8 is a very good RC simulator with superb graphics that runs well on low-end GPUs. The aerodynamics are noticeably better than the previous version (RC7), and the aerobatic aircraft now spin and snap roll realistically.
The graphics quality is superb, including the detailed aircraft models and extensive 3D scenery for FPV flying (complete with ripples in the sea). However my favourites are the panoramas, which seamlessly blend foreground 3D objects (including functional windsocks) with background photography, allowing you to fly in front of, or behind (or crash into) nearby objects whilst retaining an incredibly lifelike appearance. And you don’t require much in the way of graphics hardware - it consistently achieves over 60 fps on my laptop’s puny MX150 graphics card with graphics quality set to High, using Vulkan with high quality anti-aliasing enabled.

-
This simulator taught me to fly and land successfully. Never again will I be tossing about erratically.
-
Good visuals, panoramic scenery looks great, 3D scenery is sufficient.
-
Interesting features (multiplayer) and game options (spot landing, etc.) Enough variety in aircraft and scenery to learn what you need to.
-
Possible to play with a game controller in a pinch or with a USB-connected RC radio.
-
High AAA game price for fair visual quality / shallow game loop.
-
Simulation issues, like gears tearing off as soon as they hit grass (see artwork tab to see what I mean). Still haven’t managed a tip stall, so unconvinced about the absolute realism of control laws, which is what I paid for after all (however, this is not a definite criticism, just something I observed made me crash in real life and has not happened in-game; perhaps due to the models available, see below).

Tower! 3D
This is so infuriating. Sick of being deducted 500 points for planes alerts when they take off and land on separate runways. Can never get into positive points tally. That fed up feel like deleting it from my system.

I do enjoy playing the game. But, Why would a game be made that can’t be saved ? if the player has to leave the game. not much you can do, but leave your computer on with game paused. or lose all the time spent playing to start all over again later if you quit the game. this is my main disappointment with Tower 3 D non Pro. Sure glad I didn’t purchase the Tower 3D pro version then find out no save option. I sure hope the developers can do an update and put a save option on the Tower 3 D games.

Bee Simulator
Bee Simulator, a cute game that helps you understand just what a bee goes through, an insect that helps to pollinate so many flowers and plant life so well, better than any other insect out there and how the world around them affects their livelyhood and natural habitat. This game has a decent take on the world of bees with a nice couple of mini games that flesh it out for you.
Just a quick disclaimer: I rarely swear in a review, but this game deserves it. I’ve got a lot of patience for games as I try almost all the games out there, but fuck man, this game got me upset at stages.
– Real player with 12.8 hrs in game
The game is mostly minigames. The main story and side quests have variation from the minigames, so it’s not just those. But most of your time in the game will be minigames. I gave this a negative review, but it wasn’t too bad of a “time waster” game.
Races you fly through blue rings to follow/catch another flying insect. There are speed boost pickups to slightly fill your speed boost gauge, and slowdown pickups to avoid. If you miss a ring you lose a failure token, but you must go through the next ring or lose. There are also obstacles throughout the “courses”. The “Easy” difficulty is super easy and short. The “Hard” version is much longer and needs more skill.
