Farm Mechanic Simulator

Farm Mechanic Simulator

Another tractor with a dead engine? The combine does not start, and the harvest is just around the corner? The workload grows like mushrooms after the rain? Sounds like a great opportunity to also grow your wealth! Say hello to Farm Mechanic Simulator, a game in which you step into the shoes of a successful mechanic who knows all the nuts and bolts of farm machinery.

Accept or refuse orders from local farmers who may know about sowing and reaping, but cannot take proper care of their machines. No wonder you’re their last resort. Do you feel the weight of the local agriculture on your shoulders? Grab a wrench and act! The machines won’t repair themselves.

Your workshop is your kingdom, the tools are your subjects, and the ramshackle tractors and harvesters are just waiting for you to squeeze the last pennies out of them. After all, there’s no engine that can’t be granted a second life in your machine SPA. The business is going well? Expand your workshop, equip it with high-quality tools and get better orders.

Before you start repairing, perform an in-depth analysis of the damaged machine to find the source of the problem and make an accurate diagnosis. Then you can roll up your sleeves, ask the customer: “Man, who did this to your tractor?” and get down to what mechanics like best – making money on repairs. However, remember to test the vehicle well before handing it over to the client!

Farm Mechanic Simulator is an adventure that you cannot miss. So sow the seeds by wishlisting the game, watch it grow, and get ready for a bountiful harvest! Also, do not forget to click the “follow” button on the game page to stay up-to-date with all the important news.

I like to play this game when i’m bored and plan to play it more, but i don’t like how it doesn’t save your data, though i do find it fun to speedrun because it resets the data.

so maybe a way to save/delete your data?!

Farming Life

It’s infuriating… but overall quite fun

35+ hours in, this is one of the most infuriating farming-sims that I’ve ever played. This game is NOT an idle-farming-sim like lots of people might expect. You almost constantly have to manage stuff like you have to manually select a farmer, and assign then to go sell stuff EACH time you want to sell stuff. You also constantly have to tell a farmer to wash+feed+treat your dog and cat. If you don’t take care of your dog and cat, then rats come and raid your larders.

I’m giving it a 50% thumbs up because there are quite a few problems with this game. Still if you can figure out how to play it it’s fun. I would like to write up a guide at some point but right away - ignore trying to feed the cat and dog. otherwise you keep running out of their food and have to go buy a ton more. when you ignore them their food magically appears. problem solved. For starters i am just focusing on growing things. no animals to feed. just grow and hire employees. and start off growing carrots so you can meet the first mayor’s competition and expand your land quite a bit. from there just grow stuff and hire lots of employees. get one employee to keep taking stuff to market and selling. plant some fruit trees, buy a couple of bee hives.

As the tag says, I received a key for this game in return for covering it 100% as a content creator. That will in no way change my review. However, it does allow me to come from a place of extreme knowledge about the game. I have now completed everything there is to do in the game before posting my review.

Content: 7 / 10

This game gave me about 8 days of stream content, and my streams average about 2 hours a day.

I gave the game a very hardcore, focused, and nearly speed run level of play through. The game gave me about 16.5 hours of content.. (That’s nearly $1 per hour.)

I’m kind of confused about the negative remarks on this game. It’s a sim game, there will be an element of grind to that. The devs also have guides up that explain how to do different things, including improving your rep quicker, things to do through the day, that kind of thing, that are pretty informative and explain their mindset when creating the different systems.

I actually quite enjoy the game. Once you get into the habit of starting to prep for the next day, the time issue is nothing like as bad. My usual schedule gets me to around 6pm when on 3 fields, so will obviously get later as I progress and I get more.

Gardenia: Prologue

Gardenia: Prologue

TL:DR I don’t know what the final game will turn out to be like, but this Prologue/Demo was a delight to play. It had crafting, questing, collecting, platforming, mining, plus a little gardening. And poop, it had a lot of poop. All of it was fun, even the poop. :[ Cherry on top: this prologue has 7 achievements.

The slighty longer version:

You begin in a tutorial area that you may dump :3 without completing to go straight to your little village. In the village you will meet two animal characters (a la Animal Crossing) that reside there. They are helpful and will ask you to complete 2 quests, for which they will reward you with items you will definitely need. In order to complete those quests you will need to find 5 blue & 3 black mushrooms- this is where the bulk of your platforming gameplay will happen. And you will need to collect and craft some items also. There are some other quests and stuff to do, but it is up to you how much effort you want to invest in finishing the whole thing. It is possible to get all 7 achievements without getting to the end of what the prologue offers, and it is possible to finish it without getting all the achievements.

After completing all me achievements. My personal opinion on this game is.

I like it’s graphic, a more simplistic style. The atmosphere is also very calming. So are the sound effects. I find it funny and enjoyable when you realize the whoosh, hup, blululu are probably made by the same person, it’s just nice.

Personally don’t like too much music on a game where its more focus on nature soundings like wind and bird noises. so a few gramophone so you can hear back its music is nice : (also because I turned it almost all the way down-)

Glittermitten Grove

Glittermitten Grove

Okay, since this is not the “normal” game we are getting here, so i am gonna first talk about the “Main game”, the one we are sold with, the one with the game title - Grittermitten Grove. Especially for those who didn’t know the “dark secret” behind this game at the time they hit the buy button.

This game reminds me a lot of the PC98 Pixy Garden (ピクシーガーデン 妖精伝説) back in 1995. Such nostalgia! Haven’t really seen a similar genre of that type since, I’ve played Creatures and other monster breeding/town management games but none of them gives me that special feeling from Pixy Garden, until i find this game. This game is like a combination of Pixy Garden with Terraria’s suvival and terraforming touch, making it much more difficult and intriguing.

Real player with 19.6 hrs in game

Glittermitten grove is, in and of itself, a very simply fun game with a shallow learning curve and an immediately apparent reward for learning the game’s fairly simple mechanics. It’s nice to look at, it’s original, and it’s a worthwhile time-waster if you’re into building bases and managing resources. There’s not really an endgame and the depth leaves quite a bit to be desired, but we all know that’s not the game you want to hear about.

Frog Fractions 2, or TXT World as it’s called in-game, does not measure up to its predecessor. I’ll admit, it’s got a very unique sort of charm, and the minigames that are unlocked are funny enough; the glaring issue is that the game utterly lacks the spirit and sense of absurdism and unpredictable over-the-top progression that, in my opinion, made the original Frog Fractions great. The game is interesting and engaging to a point, the difficulty is tough but fair and easy to adjust to, but rather than an imaginative journey from humble beginnings through a goofy and nonsensical plot that retains cohesion with interesting – if consistently silly – writing; TXT World serves as a sort of ascii hub through which to access games that feel like in-jokes and collectibles that reward you with cheap nonsense meant to make one laugh through its randomness and reference to pop culture. The entire time I was playing, I was left wondering, “When does the real game start?” to which the game replied, “Never.” If you’re a die-hard Frog Fractions fan and want to see what the developers did with the kickstarter money they raised, then you can spend $20 on a nifty resource manager and a collection of game jam titles, and hopefully prove my feelings about this game wrong. As it stands, however; I cannot reccomend this game. I was disappointed and saddened by this title, and while I don’t regret purchasing it, I couldn’t encourage any of my friends to spend their money on this end product. Maybe wait for it to go on sale? I don’t know.

Vilmonic

Vilmonic

Vilmonic is a sandbox game which focuses on the evolution of alien species called anims; they adapt to environments, go extinct, go through periods of population peaks… Anims change shape as they try to find a way to fulfil their role in a niche, when faced with competition from other anims. I have high hopes for this game, and I believe the developer will continue to grow it.

Vilmonic for me is a concept game, it is still in beta as I write this, the game has potential to inspire many into pursuing perhaps even careers in genetics, or simply educating people in times where evolution has been considered controversial. It has a friendly aesthetic for new users, the control schemes can be somewhat clunky.

The ONLY modern A-Life game you can do a successful Wolfing Run.

For the young ones, that is a term coined by the Creatures series community, which has been on the net since 1999.

Wolfing is leaving your artificial lifeforms to their own devices for several hours, maybe while at work or sleeping, and coming back to a population that has changed, persisted, and survived natural selection factors. Mods are needed for Creatures 2’s bugs but the three games can theoretically support a “wild” population of creatures without player input for extended periods.
