Empire TV Tycoon

Empire TV Tycoon

I’ve been looking for a modern version of Mad TV for a long time, so I was quite excited when I stumbled upon Empire TV Tycoon on Steam. I had a lot of fun with it, but there were also some frustrating moments which I will explain in a moment.

How do the game mechanics compare to Mad TV?

The similarities are immediately apparent when looking at the interface. You are a tiny person using an elevator to navigate through a high building which houses your offices, film studios, a movie library, an advertising agency and so on. There are two AI opponents with their own channels.

Empire TV Tycoon is an easy to learn fun simulation where you run a tv channel.

As you increase viewership and make those important decisions on what to play and what ads to show, you can climb the ranks from a simple local channel to the world of satellite broadcasting.

Part of the game is programming your day’s viewing - which sounds more tedious or daunting than it actually is.

You will recognise some movie titles, and the spoofs of well-known award shows and film festivals. This adds to the immersive side of Empire, and it can be quite fun (if not diabolical) to plan a day’s tv viewing based on your favourite films… or least favourites…

“StockUp”

“StockUp”

Again, “…gameplay could be utterly broke by some interface glitch”, but unlike “To the Capital”, this Capitalist-Idling-Sim don’t even need your attention. No, actually it may don’t even need you. So…

:/ Uninteresting.

Its bad. Bit misleading, all it is, is numbers will go and down and its flip of coin if goes up and down simliar to the markets but at least in the markets you have some idea what you trading in profile, charts etc….

The layout is bad as well, the news report is difficult to read with all information cramed in one spot.

Serious updating is needed.

Arcade Tycoon: Simulation

Arcade Tycoon: Simulation

I purchased this game only a few hours after its release. Moreover, I waited until I had a few hours of game-play under my belt before I gave my opinion on the game and its current state of development.

First off I will admit that I was mildly disappointed by no campaign being available yet. However, what was there was very stable. In my game-play the only bugs that I have come across were the customers walking through the machines, the carpeting randomly disappearing, and random customers getting stuck while in a walk mode.

I’m still happy I purchased this. The devs continue to push updates, and I believe nearly everything shown in videos on the store page is included. The only thing I see different is the tech tree in game is not as robust. Lots have been added since I last reviewed this, to include security guards, thieves, litter, trash cans, more food and drink options, machine upgrades, and the tech tree too. In my earlier review, I said there was no queuing system and all of the customers looked the same. Now, there is a queuing system which is great as it gives a good visual on what you may need more of. All customers no longer look the same, but there are still only three different looks for them.

Edit; April 7 2019: Wow I really understated it when I said how much this dev improves this game constantly. Constant new features, mos notably the reason I’m writing this today which is because he added a forcepull/magnet mechanic which means I can play seated or at least not having to bend down or out of my small playspace. The absoulute best management game with constant new content. One of my favorites and my kids as well!

–————— [/edit]

The dev has really turned this game around with frequent updates and is just absolutely killing it with improving things based on feedback from the community. I find myself spending waaaaay more time in this game then I expected and have to play it at least once daily.

Weapon dealer is fun for the start of the game and gives you the feel of job simulator, but with weapons. It allows you to create your own store and purchase and redistribute firearms and vehicles, which is neat! However… this game definitely has some bugs which will make you feel discouraged and efforts towards success seeming pointless, especially when you unlock the armory to sell vehicles. Also you must manually set each price tag for each vehicle making it a tedious click fest (Unlike the guns shop which saves your prices). I also noticed that it is pointless to run the gun shop when people will buy tanks and other vehicles for ludicrous prices. In one day I was able to make roughly two hundred thousand dollars with little effort and fix up my entire apartment. There is also no reason to use the apartment, because there is no hunger, sleep, or any other trait that will make you need to step away from the gun shop. So, grab your sleeping bag, your home is where you work. Another thing about the apartment and all the items that you purchase for the apartment is that they are all stagnant… You place the items and forget about what you placed for your apartment. There is no interaction with anything you purchase for your apartment. I also hate the concept of using a little dart gun (supposed to be a flare gun) while these people that are stealing high-end weaponry… It just doesn’t make sense. The aspect of the game however is neat, but for the issues that I have mentioned you will feel that you have wasted your time. It would also be nice to have some other areas to explore such as restaurants or bars, etc. Instead you are limited to the apartment (snore), gun shop, and armory. Also with the armory, it does not matter what you vehicles you choose to sell. The reason for this is there’s no demand for vehicles, unlike the gun shop which tells you what is currently in demand (Basically throw any vehicle out there raise the price incredibly and people will flood in and purchase everything fast). Did I mention that the armory is open 24/7, so if you need more cash you can just stay in the armory, place vehicles and click on the price the up arrow for your desired price (does not seem to really matter what price you place for the product).

Can’t really recommend this game. Seems to be pretty poorly constructed. I’ll try to point out some of the design flaws.

Game crashed and dupped the rig I was working on. I broke the game and I wasn’t even trying

UI is pretty confusing. You can’t tell what is buttons and what isn’t.

Inconsistent UI, i.e. you can sell Eth from the escape menu but have to go into the market to sell BTC.

Outside of the tutorial, which is short, there’s really nothing to do but let money accrue. Might as well be an idle game.

Before I slam this game for all the problems it has, I will say I’d be willing to revisit this after they fix the issues and make some enhancements moving forward.

Pros -

1. Fairly easy to move forward with mining and building

2. Allows one to redesign there room

3. Offers a sandbox environment.

Cons - (there are a lot!)

1. Customer builds never seem to work, After accepting a task, building to spec, placing in customer pickup area …nothing happens.

2. Sometimes buying a rack comes completely assembled

Road Diner Simulator

Road Diner Simulator

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1160920/Food_Truck_Simulator/

Road Diner Simulator is all about renovating, expanding and customizing a road side diner located right across the highway from the gas station from our Gas Station Simulator. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1149620/Gas_Station_Simulator/

While doing that, you need to serve hungry customers, manage your staff and make sure the business is profitable.

Renovating the abandoned diner is where the game starts at. And there is lots to be done. The diner is from the late 50ties and hasn’t been in service since the mid-90ties and the

Everything is a serious state of despair, but you will have a lot of tools at your disposal to fix things up and decorate to your liking.

However, you won’t spend the entire early game renovating. Renovations and decorations cost money and you should get some cashflow going early on to fund them. Starting with simple dishes and some drinks to serve to your, at first, few customers it a solid start.

Growing your business is a large part of the game. You can expand your diner, modernize it, acquire new equipment to expand on the dishes and drinks you can serve to your customers and so much more.

You can also expand the building itself to have more space for tables or even games, change the looks of your diner to reflect your offering and expand the surrounding area to make room for a drive-through, parking or even a small car cinema.

Food and drinks take a dominant role in running a diner. You kitchen and supply chain will determine what you can offer. There is a wide range of choices ranging from pre-made meals to entirely custom food cooked at your diner. Road Diner Simulator features a full fledged cooking system allowing you to create your own dishes or follow established templates you can put your own touch to.

Hiring waitresses, waiters, servers, cooks or bartenders is an important part of the game. Hiring staff also allows on focus on certain aspects of the gameplay and leave other to be dealt by your staff if you want. Should you enjoy cooking a lot and want to focus primarily on the gameplay associated with the kitchen, you have your staff handle the rest of the diner. If you prefer to focus on the customers, you can your staff such as cooks handle the food and drinks.

Of course, if you want to run every aspect of the diner on your own, you can hire staff to ease up the workload in all areas and allow to focus on the aspects you feel like at the moment.

I bought this game. I liked it very much. The main task is to fly on the map and collect coins. The flight technology itself is well implemented, everything looks pretty pretty

Thought I should take the time to re-review this, but seriously this time.

As a massive fan of flying sims, this is really fun, addicting, and pretty relaxing compared to a good few more expensive flying sims.

My only big gripe with this game honestly, is the fact that literally everything is solid. Like, why should I have to die flying face first into water? smh.

Also, I WAS first on the leaderboard for a good while, not sure how I was beaten. Is there actually a bonus coin in every level or?
