So I’ve been eagerly awaiting this game for what feels like months here are my first impressions, my pros and cons and my lasting takaways. (This is kind of a review in progress due to alpha and that i’m not exactly “deep” - no pun intended- into the game (which i’ll get into.))
First Impressions
My first Impressions were, kind of a better version of Shelter, another game in the simulation/strategy genre, but instead of a fallout shelter and surviving a post apocalyptic wasteland i had the duty of helping a UBOAT full of eager (and not so eager) sailors ready for the trials and tribulations of war, i quickly did the tutorial and stumbled onto the sub. Overall aside from small UI opinions i liked it. Recruit some sailors, get a mission from HQ, and head out to sea. Easy enough right? I didn’t complete a single mission for my first… 10 or 15 was in the bag and i was either dead, dying, or wishing i was. The game has some bugs and some aspects that just weren’t so obvious. for example, trying to launch torpedoes at my first target and having them all explode on board (either it really happened or it was coincidence that i launched 4 torps and 4 explosions went off on board the sub) all the power on board went out after the first one so i couldn’t really tell. Another time i had to force a restart was just sheer incompetence, not knowing i’d lose my ships location if there was no navigator i thought i had entered a non playable zone and ended up in a UBOAT limbo. The game read “Full map not available” which i immediately thought was the game telling me i had ventured into part of the full game, not available in the alpha. Or when i scuttled a friendly sub due to the crew being killed and to not let it fall into enemy hands all via the mission menus, only to be made an enemy of my allies and engaged on sight as i returned to port. There were plenty of hiccups like these, either bugs or lack of understanding/explaining but i was determined to give the game a real shot.

WWII Online
EDIT: I’m getting off another month of premium to see if something has changed, this game was part of my childhood and I really want to see it shine, but if things are still the same or even worse well, I’ll simply redo this review better and keep hammering it.
Played this 8 years ago, recently got back on it and got a month of premium on discount to finally see how it is. Original review was turning into an essay and then I discovered there’s a max size of 8000 characters for the review. Oh RIP.

Keep in mind, I played this before it went on Steam, I have around 500 hours, back when I wasted some extra money I had on this garbage. Worst decision of my life.
Got banned for 7000 (thats like 10+ years) days because I asked why the game hasn’t changed in 10+ years and theyre still charging $15 a fucking month for it.
Here’s the skinny in pros and cons.
Pros:
-Can be fun. Sometimes. Rarely. And it doesn’t last for long.
In-between:
-Can be run on any computer. Which means there’s a lot of potato-laggers on the servers.

I like the game, I am having fun playing it. I think it has one main problem, the production process could be better. Once you choose a city for production you no longer know how many production points are available. It would be nice to have production points shown so you can figure out how many of a particular item can be produced and also a max button would be good, just press max for an item and the max amount will be set to production of that city. And also since the last update the game is hard to start, have to press start three or four times before it will load. Get these fixed and I’m sure I will give it a thumbs up!

Tank Operations: European Campaign
Review updated 07-2020 (Ver. 2.2.0)
Short version (TLDR):
Beautifully designed and addictive strategy and tactics game; easy to learn, but difficult to master
I am absolutely excited about this game, since in my opinion it’s a simple but yet very coherent modern take on the genre and since it can to the same extent be as challenging as very rewarding, because of its varied strategical and tactical possibilities and its many individual features. It also has beautifully and elaborately designed maps and units and a very consistent atmosphere, which brings to mind professional crafted, but heroic Hollywood war movies.

well, only a tester, and not one to do many reviews, but this one is well worth the time and effort and i also don’t mind putting my name to it, before release, i was on the early to late alpha versions, then early and late beta, now into early access i can clearly see a lot of progressions and updates, changers and alterations, from feedback and idea’s and items which didn’t work so well so was altered, a lot has been added since and the game can’t be compared to the earlier versions in all but name of the game.

So far I love it! VERY pleasantly surprised for Early Access I was expecting a lot worse. This game runs smooth for me no crashes or anything and the graphics aren’t bad I really like the lighting. Obviously because its early access there are many changes to come and it can only get better from here. The OST is beautiful as well. Such great music.

If you’re looking for an intense squad based game with a focus on squad coordination, realism, and historical accuracy then this is a game that should be in your library. You’re never too far from any action - and the moments you are in them are intense and can be fleeting if you are not in cover or observant.
The battlefields have been recreated beautifully and are fun to run around assaulting objectives with your team. Uniforms, weapons, static objects and everything in between look wonderful and period correct. The game does currently have bugs and glitches which is to be expected in the early access period of development - nothing so far has taken away from the core gameplay.

Foxhole
There’s a lot to like about the game, but also a lot to hate.
To a new buyer, I’ll lay it out simple:
Playing the game solo is unlikely to be satisfying. The game centers around a persistent war (24/7) where vast imbalances in population per side and per region are actively exploited to overrun one side or the other. You are entirely dependent on what the rest of your team has done in the last few hours, as well as the number of players currently present, to stand a chance.
For someone who doesn’t care, or likes being roped into big clan ops or plays with friends: You will catch a lot of flak for playing badly, but many clans are happy to take you in and teach you.

A wonderful game that encourage coop with other people to achieve victory in a shared war. The experience is something to truly behold as you experience war that is depicted as it is, bloody, despairing and death. Take part whether as:
Logistics: to ferry supplies to the front, the lifeblood ensuring that the front does not fall
Infantry: Holding the lines against other players through a variety of small arms, from bolt action rifles to machine guns all manufactured at factories.
Builders: Crafting intricated layered defences powered by AI and players, building the trenches and bunkers ensure the first line of defence.

Waves of Steel
TLDR main selling points:
1. A faithful Warship Gunner/ Warship Commander successor
2. Simple-to-use part-based building system, for building your own warship
3. Very easy to mod
4. Fight zany enemies
Now, the rest of the review:
I have been waiting for a VERY long time for any successor of Koei/Microcabin’s Naval Ops: Warship Gunner/ Warship Commander series. Waves of Steel is by far the closest to the original with considerable improvements to the ship design process. Of course, since this is 2021, it also supports modding.

This is a very good game in the vein of the PS2 Naval Ops series, specifically Warship Gunner 2. You design a ship, face off against overwhelming numbers of enemies, and then pick up new techs to build a newer, better ship the next time around. This allows for some experimentation, possibly adding dozens of guns to a ship or removing them all in favor of torpedoes. Additional systems can be added to improve radar range, rate of fire and the like. There’s no single “best” build even if the game gives progressively better options. Between flags, decals and paint jobs, every ship really ends up feeling like it’s yours.

Warfare 1944
From the few gunfights I’ve had i can tell you that its different from other games like rising storm, one shot could still kill but there’s a lot of fire exchanged between the two sides and that sort of gives it a more authentic feel (or maybe we were just bad shots idk) The weapons handle with a bit of weight to them (hard to explain) intentional or not it gives a nice sort of feel, I’m a large fan of the fact that the barrel isn’t always pointed at the centre of the screen ADS or not, it makes close quarters combat a bit more interesting. Obviously an early access game and the servers are empty most of the time, if i remember correctly there’s a playtest later today so i hope i can be there for, provided my desktop works, So far in the small games ive been in my laptop has been able to run quite well on low graphics but that doesn’t account for all the players on even a half full server. This is a game you should really only buy if you can be patient or are happy after looking at the roadmap but even if you can’t be patient put it on your wishlist if you like this style. Its a good mix of old and new and has potential to be a very good game. Im not entirely sure how creators make money off of steam purchases but i hope that people do buy this and support the people behind it.

After playing this day playtest sesion and looking at the core gameplay, i think i can give you a review of it, so, here i go.
Warfare 1944 is a game about the second world war with big battles between the americans and germans in europe and for some reason in asia, out of fomalities now, what you do in the game is simple, go around find someone to shoot at and once you do it kill him while you move towards a flag wich you must take to win since the game is based around the classic ticket system, simple right, yes simple indeed, now the game does have it’s interesting think, first, the graphics are a very interesting thing, it’s like not realistic but not way too childdish, it has like an special think that this game has of how it has the realistic part of a battlefield but the thing you are looking at is very cubish, the gameplay it self is… standar, i think, i mean as i said you go to take a flag killing your enemy meanwhile it’s very damn simple, but the thing it matters… is it funny to do the same thing you’d do in another games in this one? yes it is fun, the shooting is very weird, consider that the game is this very realistic hardcore experience, or at least half of it is realism and the other half is just bad game design, what do i mean by that is that yes if you shoot to someone that person is more likely going to get killed with 2-5 bullets, but, that other half is that the recoil system is just bad, every gun has a normal recoil but the way the gun shakes when you move/shoot/get shoot at is the thing that makes almost every weapon a horrible thing to fire at mid-long range, is just painfull to try to fire anything that isn’t the medic weapon when your enemy is far because all the other weapons shake and the recoil goes to the side where the gun is shaking, not up, what i mean is that if you shoot the weapon will bee shaking and when you shoot if the shaking is to the right the gun will have it’s recoil to the right, wich is logical after all but it makes it a pain in the ass to shoot, the different classes in the current state of the game don’t really have a difference since the medic does not have a med pac and the official does not have a special radio for example, they are only differenced by the weapon that is being used, and trust me, automatic weapons only will work at close mid range because of how caotic it gets in auto, and the kar18k and m1 garand kinda of work, kinda, but the medics for some reason have a recoiless weapon wich is what you want if you really want to be competitive. The maps are good for their purpose, the european maps are mostly pretty cool and Wake island is as fun as a map in a videogame could be, and most of them allow the player to take a different aproach, there’s always space to manuever and flank rather than just do a frontal assault wich is pretty cool, the players usually go in a little platoon and i must say that while teamwork is essential in some situacions, you can always go lonewolf and take your own aproach, for example, in one match in canteran i only went flanking in the bushes and most of the times with enemies going around me i would take a time to strike and when i’d do so we’d take the flag, and the best thing of it is how in the next match some people decided to do the same and while in canteran most of the time germany loses with those tactics we were winning, wich goes to show how the game offers plenty of strategy and option for the player(s), but now i mentioned the players, i talked the game when it’s got players, most of the time the servers are empty and guess what, i can only write a review based around the playtest sesion, if you jump on the middle of the day if you are lucky there will be one or two persons in a server, it’s preeetty empty, if i had to say what needs improved i’d say that of course more content like class specialization and more guns, planes, tanks, cars and all of that stuff wich you are specting, a rework of the movement and weapon recoil/control also would be nice, but the most important thing of all, the people who play the game, more community events, more ways to attract new people but specialy for people to keep playing, i only got word of this game by bigfry and if i buyed it was because it looked interesting, when you get to know a game for a youtuber who casually gives it a video you can see a lack of marketing, and a big one, or at least to give us some bots and offline matches for the time when nobody’s playing and the game’s still in alpha.

Plane Mechanic Simulator
If you like airplanes and would like to know more about them, then this is a game to look into. You start out as a entry level mechanic and work your way up the ranks and improving your skills. You start out on a de Havilland Tiger Moth and get to work on the Gypsy III, four cylinder air cooled engine. The tutorials are basic and teach you what you need to get through the missions, but they don’t teach you the fine details of each engine. Make sure you know what a head gasket is and where to find it.

First of all, I absolutely love this game, I would recommend it to anyone who would like to experience the daily work of Plane Mechanic. I had a lot of fun with it. Certainly give me a lesson on why I should never overheat my engine :)
The developer has been work hard to improve this game, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the developer for their hard work, and also, talk about some new content the community would like to see. I hope developer can take time to read it, and, if possible, confirm the possibility of following contents.
