First, let me say that I dig the game, and I like that it is put together from a lot of open source / royalty free resources. I have enjoyed playing against my old pal GNU Go, and I particularly like the review portion after games are completed where I can see key moves the computer would have suggested, which has helped me get a better sense of advantageous moves under different circumstances. The approach of the campaign as being a literal conquest for territory is also really cool. However, it doesn’t feel particularly polished at this stage. I would like to see more of a story, perhaps some Go puzzle mini games in between matches. A larger map would be nice too, and it might be cool to have a zoom-out view of the ‘world’ that shows conquered regions as an actual game of Go, but that might be wishful thinking on my part. Finally, its a little nit-picky, but after matches, I feel the resource icons are too small, and sometimes I miss them. Other uses for resources might be worth exploring as well.

Colony Ship: A Post-Earth Role Playing Game
This is an Early Access review. The game contains bugs and is only feature complete for Chapter 1. I will not mention bugs in the review, because there aren’t any game-breaking ones and the ones that do exist are minor. Also, please download the combat demo before purchasing.
Background
The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic post-Earth world revolving around a multi-century trip on a colony ship. You are just one person, who lives in an area of the ship, called the Pit. You are not a hero, nor are you anyone special – yet.

I now have a good handle on the combat system. Here is what I was doing wrong:
- Character spec:
Decide how you intend to play and spec accordingly. For example: my tank maxed Con and Str this prevents his from being knocked down as I took the Juggernaut feat. It is critical that you also take the Armor Feat with this kind of build. My primary weapon is a shotgun, and he feels really strong. Go all in on your chosen spec, I cannot understate this!
- Easy Target
Pay close attention to what you are wearing. If you make yourself an iron brick you will get prioritized by the enemy AI and get more holes in you than a cheese grater.

Rise of Humanity
Super fun game for X Com and Deck Building fans. Seems difficult at first, till you learn the amazing combo’s you can make (just make sure you don’t damage your team mates … too much !)
It’s still early access so there’s only 6 story missions yet, but there are side missions up for grabs!
Daily challenges are also a hoot, Hoping to see some real battles for the top of the leader board!

An interesting twist on XCOM2…
XCOM2 but with cards, is how this game can best be described. Now, this game doesn’t have the budget behind it that XCOM2 had, which almost automatically means that it’s going into a gun-fight with XCOM2 but this game is armed with a pistol and XCOM2 has a hellfire missile launcher… not very fair, but that’s the fight that the devs have chosen to engage in, and good luck to them… they’re gonna need it.
Pros: #1. Very good graphics (I’d say it’s almost as good as XCOM2)

The Song of the Fae
Only 10 minutes in, but the charm and music are top tier. If the “deck building chess-like” mechanics have depth to match the initial presentation, this game will be as solid and comparable to monoliths of the genre such as Into the Breach.

Baldur’s Gate 3
Recommended only if you are willing to accept that it is not complete and is still yet a while away from being done. Very similar to Larian’s previous two games but with just enough tweaks to make it feel fresh and closer to DnD ruleset. Some say it may as well have been called DOS3. While true, it’s also not a bad thing. Those games IMO are responsible for the resurgence of the old-school CRPG genre. Personally, this is my dream game. Huge fan of the originals and huge fans of the DOS games. Actually had the out-loud thought back in 2014…“what if Baldur’s Gate made a comeback and these Larian dudes were the ones to do it?” Wish granted. People will nitpick and complain, but I’m beyond impressed with what I’ve seen so far. The RTWP argument has been done to death and if you want to cry about it, go play Pillars of Eternity. It’s so close a copy to the old Infinity engine games that it honestly got stale and lost its nostalgia shine real fast. I would have been disappointed if a new game bearing the BG name turned out to be the same stuff I played to death 20 something years ago. The scope of what Larian is going for here is extremely ambitious and I’m 110% rooting for them to pull it off. With all of the possible dialogue options and minor little attentions to detail, its like a real tabletop in that everyone who plays will be working through the same “module” but everyone is going to experience that story differently depending on the player or groups decisions. Obviously, proper tabletop DnD cant be played solo, but just like the original Baldurs Gate games, this is/will be the best possible way for a solo player without and IRL group to play with to experience its universe.

This is a pretty amazing game the best DnD based game I have ever played it is very good. There is still a lot of development needed would not recommend this game if you do not have a high performance PC with an SSD they definitely still need to do some work on the performance. When the game leaves early access it will be well worth it I can assure you. For right now once you get bored of the waiting for new content check out what the modding community has done there has been some really great player content.

Ah, i believe that if we organized ourselfs to play in certain fixed times (as likely “official” times) said in game, we could play this game in those time more, instead of people likely just stealing each other in ranked matchs. =)

This game is a hidden gem with lots of potential, unlike 90% of the games that get released on steam free to play right now.
This game is like a competitive turn based puzzle game, as each turn you have to try and find the correct path and speed for your furry to do as much damage to the enemy as possible, while minimizing damage to yourself. the way you can interact with the environment adds a lot of strategic depth to the game and every character that there is currently feels like it has a distinct style of play, even though the key mechanics and basic gameplay is the same for every character.

Warriors: Rise to Glory!
After waiting for so long the game is finally out! And as expected it is extremely good.
The game starts off from a simple attack ability and progress to a very simple yet complicated in its strategic.
From the humoristic tutorial you can understand the nature of the game, there is no dark tone and the game provide enjoyable moments for 100% of the time.
Progressing in the beta is fun, there is many things to uncover and the skill tree is huge. So, every player gets its avatar different from one another.

This game immediatly got my attention due to it’s similarity to the classroom classic flash game, Swords and Sandals. I remember that game being hard, but fun. I checked the details on this game and saw that it was a rogue like game. Now this could go one of two ways, it could be like binding of issac, in which a bad run will not unlock anything new and shiny. Or it could be like has been heroes, in which any progress goes towards a ‘buff meter’ or ‘unlock progression.
I am happy to say that this is the latter, and is a good bit of fun. My only complaints as off right now are that there isn’t much content. This is in the sense that the first boss is always the same, and the execution/humiliation animations are always the same, with the exception of the ‘thug life’ humiliation which I find is always hilarious.

1953: NATO vs Warsaw Pact
A must-buy for any Wasteland veterans, especially modders. Looks great, runs smooth, and the possibilities are endless. We’ll need a navy for Norway, armies for Israel, etc., but that’s part of the bargain. It’s all very easy to do with Notepad ++. I just copied all the commanders from Time of Fury, made the necessary text changes, and have 100 commanders. Of course, I have no interest in building a game with the actual historical military commanders from 1953 :)
In fact, I am considering downgrading the superpowers’ unit levels to maybe “3” to give them more to research, while Hungary would be Level 1. Also interesting to bring Turkey into the mix on the NATO front to give USSR something more to worry about. Not really interested in the nuke part of the game, but that may well be very important for the design.

So I start the game up and are greeted to some screen adjustments. I type it in and proceed to the main screen. Here I can chose to do a fast game, or simply customize a match.
I thought the game was a simple war game in the style of similar games such as the war aspects of Civilization series and age of empires, but as I would discover, there was nothing simple about this game.
I start a match as a NATO country, one of the two factions you can join and NOTHING on the screen makes any sense. I tried to press some buttons, but nothing happens. The game has no tutorial to teach you how to play the game, so I am officially lost. I find the “next turn” button and 5 minutes of the other countries turns go by. At this moment I was so bored from looking at the computer make it’s moves, that I then did nearly nothing and said next turn and the 5 minute hell continued.

Cogmind
Cogmind is a roguelike game, where you constantly build and rebuild your character. Your capabilities are defined by the items you acquire. There is no experience (no grinding!), you gain ‘levels’ by climbing to the next floor. This system makes various builds equally viable: combat, speed, stealth, all sorts of hybrids and so on.
Items are not just stats +X. You will balance energy output, heat generation and support with your combat capabilities, speed and information gathering capabilities. There are over a thousand different items: weapons, power sources, cooling, propulsion, sensors, armors, shields, hackware, build and repair utilities and many, many more. Each item has a cost to use it, with more powerful items typically having bigger costs. There are various synergies and you can get some sick combos! But don’t get too attached to the components you currently own, because sooner or later they WILL get destroyed. That’s why you constantly need to acquire new parts (they are everywhere!) to rebuild yourself, sometimes completely respecializing to a different build type (You were a heavy tank, machine of destruction, but after a particularly tough fight not much is left of you? Time to become an ultra light jet that zips past enemies before they get a chance to act!).

This game is good. Really good.
I’ve put 200+ hours into it, and I still want to play more.
In depth reasons below, but a quick tl;dr:
This game solves a lot of problems that I’ve found with the entire roguelike genre, in major ways. Even without looking at roguelikes at all, this is a very good game in it’s own right, and once you learn all the systems in play (which the game helps you learn, instead of having to look in an out of game wiki for arcane details) it’s a joy to play. It’s also fun to discover these things out as you go, and I really liked the magical feeling upon finding new areas off the beaten path. Running into Z(partially redacted) was a really cool moment in my first few hours of play, and those are scattered throughout the game. In addition, the early game is a lot better then other games of this type, instead of being a slog.
