The Viking Way
The Viking Way; an ambitious project that aims to bring a Viking experience into the 3D RPG world. Upon playing I could see the amount of work being put into this project, through their slowly chipping away at every unpolished surface in the game with every update.
It’s Medieval times, when the Vikings rule the high seas and warring factions fight for new land and dominance over other factions. This is where I come into play; I am about to set off on a journey to represent the Faction Ribe and make my father proud.

## Empire of Ember
EDITED TO REFLECT THE PATCH AS OF JULY 02:
~~A lot of people are saying that this game is a 'Fantasy style Mount & Blade', but that's only partially true.
The truth is that this is a 'Fantasy style Mount & Blade' when that style of fantasy is coming from the Dark Souls universe.
As far as I can tell the only difference between 'Easy' and 'Insanity' (the most difficult), if the fact that your stuff don't get taken when you lose by the random mobs that whopped your butt on 'Easy'.~~
Edit as follows:

The game in a few words:
Dark Messiah of Might and Magic meets Mount and Blade.
TLDR: The Wizard lord simulator I have been looking for.
You manage your wizard tower, recruit troops, and go on missions with or without your troops (they won't help you in dungeons).
I think the game nailed the interactions between these different parts very well. You do feel like being a wizard in his tower, improving your settlement and recruiting fireball fodder to buy you time to annihilate the enemy.
The action is split in "days" between which you will heal and restore your mana, and either investigate leads (about secondary quests), bolster the economy of your city through alchemy, or prepare enchantments to make the next battle easier or more rewarding.

## Gloria Victis: Medieval MMORPG
IMPORTANT FOR POTENTIAL BUYERS :
Don't let yourself be fooled by "the average steam review" rating, a lot of positive reviews come from players with 60 hours or even less (surely not enough to really see all the mechanics of the game, let alone fully understand them and see all the flaws), I've also seen a lot of negative reviews "mysteriously disappear".
I'm fairly convinced that the right "average steam review" rating for this game should be "Mixed" or even lower.
PROS :
-It has (HAD imho) a huge potential, could have been a gaming milestone in the hands of a better development team

### Basic Review
1) The devs seem competent, as proven by the fact that they made a game in Unity that could have smooth large battles of ~200 players at the same battle site, even if the battle site is a castle!
2) The devs either lack experience at managing an MMO or they want to manage their MMO the way they do. Specifically; a) the game is borderline pay2win and may become more so in the future, b) when a studio is making money from a cash shop and not the content of the game, we end up with an MMO that lacks content. Unless future expansions are also buy2play (GW2 model), then Gloria Victis will end up like SWTOR. That said, the game for the time period I played it (December 18 - August 19) received multiple content additions, c) some items at the cash shop (specifically the nation transfers) create problems for the community and balancing between nations.

## Going Medieval
Oke . So I want to stipulate that I did play this game before roughly around 100 more hours before. At this moment I have 200-250h play
This game is something pretty amazing to me. Mostly because it is an amazing concept with making your own Settlement.
Theoretically, you can put settlers to make stuff automatically, assigning them jobs, they get skilled on this, or draft them to attack raiders. Build underground, build castles above ground
A mix of RTS-Survival-Sandbox. Really cool.
HOWEVER. The game is obviously in a very Early Access state. Let me explain why this rating is negative:
*– [Real player with 213.5 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198070194754)*
If Sims and Banished had a child, it would be Going Medieval. This game, so far, is well balanced, enjoyable and has enough sandbox elements with the right amount of warfare. I am very eager to see the progress in this game.
IDK if this was supposed to happen, but I was attacked by bandits who had two catapults and they were pretty OP, spurring me to build a massive 8 story wall, 4 layers deep around my small city. So far, they haven't returned, and the small bands of mercs stand zero chance with all of my well trained archers.

![Hammerheart](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1699280/header.jpg "")
## Hammerheart
Great start to an early access game! The combat is fluid and exciting, and your tactical decisions make all the difference. I especially appreciate the research and effort into providing a historically accurate experience, all around (finally, Vikings done right!). The devs are very responsive to feedback, and have already implemented a couple of suggestions I had. The amount of content is pretty meager at the moment, but that is expected as the game is still very early in development, AFAIK.
*– [Real player with 95.4 hrs in game](http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197970922697)*
Quality game. Developer has clearly paid a lot of attention and passion to it. A good thing to support, a developer who has put in a lot of time and effort into bringing about something like this. It is about as historically accurate as it can be, and the developer, Bennett, is reaching out to reenactors out in Europe for advice over the era. He seems rather knowledgeable on the subject, and I highly recommend that this game be purchased.
As it is still in development, I would like to include that it also has more room to grow even better. Will update this as the game updates.

## La Porte des Fauconniers : Guerre Médiévale
Although there are only the foundations laid, we can already foresee the potential and the challenge that the game can bring, the strategy and the good use of the types of units as well as the formations is essential to succeed in winning battles, but the progression of the character and his units obviously brings a significant plus that will make your life much easier in case of difficulty.
If you liked Mount & Blade or Conqueror's Blade there is a good chance that you like La Porte des Fauconniers.

![Renditions of the Awakening](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1152260/header.jpg "")
## Renditions of the Awakening
In active development since 2016, this is a first-person strategy game about summoning demons and toppling a civilization one castle at a time in order to re-live the story of the man who already did that. Gain the trust of that man - your jailor - by embellishing the details if you wish but the one thing you must do is become the new king while taking no lives with your own hands.
Some demons are stealthy; others not so much. Summon an army, manage them well and control the flow of information across the battlefield to catch Keeps and Castles unawares or poorly defended. But beware, the summoning process compels them to follow you around but that's all - they still retain their own fickle personalities and will quit your service in the worst way possible if ever they stop having enough fun.
