So as you can see from my hrs on record I am obsessed with this game. However that is not why I chose to write a review. I have wrote very few reviews on games. It’s just not really my deal. It takes a lot for me to write something either good or bad about it. And I had that “a lot” moment recently when I was interacting with another player in the game. I was talking to them about how much I enjoyed the game and have over 400 hours in to it. That’s when I realized I have almost 500 now…. in a game that’s still in alpha. The game doesn’t even have all the features yet and has many bugs. There’s a running contest in discord for who can find the most bugs. Normally that’s a bad thing for a game. But this game… the bugs are actually fun and in a weird way add to the game. Don’t get me wrong the developer is constantly pushing out updates and actively fixing those bugs and making the game better with each update. But the bugs are used in the game for hacking. Players adapt to the more stubborn bugs and you learn to protect yourself from them. You find others and use those to mess around. I wish I could explain better how and why this game has sucked me in but this game is one massive world where the players create so much of the content without realizing it, “500 hours in an alpha” kind of not realizing it. That was my “a lot” moment. I paid 10$ for 500 hours of game play. I have games in my library that I’ve paid far more for and have far fewer hours and they’re still worth it to me and those are finished! So as a thank you for the best 10$ I’ve ever spent here’s my Review Kuro I hope it helps drive more sales to ya.

Ever wanted to feel how it is to be a real hacker and face and overcome the difficulties that come with being one?
This game is probably the closest you can get without actually having any prior experience with the technicalities that are involved with gaining illegal access to a person’s computer.
What really sets this game apart from every other in this genre, is that while portrayal in most games is very ‘Hollywood-esque’, this game manages to keep it grounded and convincingly portrays the ‘real feel’ of being a hacker, and the difficulties that must be overcome. In-game computer actually feels genuine and intuitive to use, and unlike in many other games, gaining unauthorized access to a person’s computer is in itself a very rewarding process. It actually feels like the real deal (and the methods and concepts such as social engineering that exist in the game are all real).

Review of Alpha.
Been on my wishlist ever since I saw it, since it did look a lot like gta2, which was my prime streaming game for a long time, so gave it a shot as soon as I could (didnt play demo though).
Will start with positives:
-
Really does feel inspired by old gta’s a lot: radio (humor and songs), gang-respect system, tank-controls in car, saves at home, burping, gouranga and other small things - pretty cool!
-
Upgrade system which carries itself into re-playthroughs
-
Multiple endings, non-linearity in area progression

Update: There was a large patch on September 30th, Quality of Life update that should have fixed most of the serious technical issues. I haven’t replayed the game yet.
The game punked me immediately upon starting it by skyrocketing my fps to 482 in the main menu, effectively stun locking my GPU at 100% and 75°C in seconds. And my PC isn’t exactly a potato that needs frying, running an RTX2070, i7-7700K and 32GB of RAM, with an SSD to boot. Without capping the fps, it climbs to about 90 in-game on High settings, making the game stuttery and giving me a hot GPU turbine background noise. After capping the fps to 60 in the Nvidia panel, the game behaves like it should, mostly. There’s still some stuttering and weird lagging, but it becomes playable, for a bit at least. Unless you need to reduce your post-processing to medium, which completely changes the in-game lighting making everything pitch black. Checking the Known Issues topic in the discussions unveils more than a few bugs and glitches, from the mentioned post-processing problem to declining performance and heavily sparkling textures. I’ve had one complete freeze, where even alt+F4 wasn’t reacting and declining performance kept calling me to have a beer with her.

In the beginning it was confusing but the more I played the more I realized all of the hidden treasures that this game has behind its sleeve. Its not those games that tells you everything right off the bat and spoiling all the fun by doing so, this is a progressive type game that the longer you play the more you discover and develop a history as the leader of the nation. By far one of the most underestimated games with extremely high potential by far I have ever seen to date. If you don’t like this game cause its hard, tutorials aren’t good, or you don’t understand the game play, I would say that the game provides difficulty levels and different modes to play through, play the actual game and this is 4th generation warfare which you should have researched what that means if you don’t know. Great Game!

Code.Breaker()
Code.Breaker() is a cyberpunk visual novel about technology, crime, and trying to survive in a world ruled by corporations.
Setting
2083, Free City-State of Seattle. Augmentations are commonplace, most people at least having a brain-computer interface chipped in. Sentient Androids live amongst the population, together with genetically modified humans and cybernetically enhanced people.
The corporations fight with other corporations over their bottom line, both figuratively and literally, making it a hotspot for so-called “Ronin”. These “Ronin” are modern-day mercenaries doing the dirty work for anyone who can pay them, most of the time corporations.
Story
You take the role of a hacker working for Akiyama CyberTech as a “Network Security Expert”. Your job is to keep the Seattle branch office safe from outside intrusion and the network security of the building in shape. It’s a mostly ceremonial position to fulfill legally required human quotas, which you only got through nepotism.
In truth you were born without citizenship in the slums of Redmond and honed your skills in the underground hacking scene.
One day, you get an email from an anonymous sender who knows your secret, threatening the life you’ve built up.
Now it’s up to you to take back control!
Gameplay
-
Talk to colleagues and make decisions that matter
-
Point and click on background items to get more information about your environment
-
Hack into systems by quickly solving puzzles
-
Play through a thrilling office story where you defend yourself from the shadows of your past
Hacker Evolution IMMERSION
Been in love with Hacker Evolution series since Exosyphen Studios released first one. Been long time without new one so I was really happy to hear that more is coming. Probably going to be the best one so far :)
Framework is nice and bug fixing is really fast so far. Not much content at the moment but still I know that this wont be waste of money - thanks to Robert. And before current patch I actually spent so much time to beat the first level. I found adjusting CPU/Firewall a bit hard before I realised that I can just mouse click where ever I want the bar to be.

First, to address the bad reviews: If you’re expecting a full story mode and a full campaign within the first week of an Early Access launch, I don’t know what to tell you… Wait until full release and you’ll have a better time. (Hopefully)
If you’ve played earlier titles in the Hacker Evolution series, especially the first two, you’ll feel right at home here. You’ve got a console, you’ve got a map with some servers on it, and you’ve got some status information about your machine. It already feels quite polished, with a nice looking UI, non-invasive animations, and exactly the type of soundtrack a game like this deserves. As stated above, there’s not a whole lot of content here, (5, maybe 10 minutes) but without a need for expensive models and textures, animations, etc I don’t expect any reason why that won’t change significantly before release.

>//:System.Hack
I haven’t really felt compelled to write a review for a game in a while, but this one really does deserve some attention. Before I sing this games praises, note that the game is still a bit buggy, but the developer is very active, and responds quickly when issues are posted in the bug reporting discussion.
So the game basically plays like a first-person game, kinda like running through cyberspace in shadowrun or a low-scale version of the oasis from ready player one. You move around in first person through networks, completing assigned tasks to earn money. You start out working for Ravencore, a company that saved you from a mega-corps hit on you, and have you hacking for them to pay back your debt. You’ll be given a quota of money you need to bring in everyday, and by surpassing that quota, you earn a salery and promotions. The game is a bit grindy, especially at the beginning if you don’t build your character right (If you build your character yourself, you NEED to have programs, hardware, or skills as your top pick, and you’re probably fine having money be near the bottom.)

So I don’t usually write reviews, but I really like how this game is turning out. Starting off you play the part of a hacker who has landed himself in hot water and is applying for work at a company that provides job of the not so legal sort for hackers. They set you up with a bunker and a hacking rig, at a cost of course, and you take various jobs improving your skils.earning cash, to make programs upgrade your rig, and get out of your contract with the company. The gameplay might be a bit repetitive for some due to the need to grind your skills and level them up to take on progressively tougher systems. however new feature are planned to make it more diverse, and I dont mind the grind as long as the leveling is rewarding. there are alot of cool features like the program creation console where you can build custom programs to aid you in hacking the systems. There is also a set of perks you can earn and three different modes of game play to unlock. The graphics are nothing special but do the job of immersing you in the role of the virtual hacker. The developer is very active squashing bugs and adding new features. The game has a little bit of a learning curve but once you get the hang of it I think it very fun.
