Lucid Trips
Please note: I participated in the alpha/beta for this software. I have since purchased the commercial (Early Access) version on which I am basing my current review.
I’m playing this with a Vive; my PC specs are as follows: AMD FX-8350 @ 4.2GHz, 16GB DDR3, Strix GTX 1080, 250GB SSD, 750W PSU.
Lucid Trips is a very interesting program, one that I would hesitate to call a “game” for a number of reasons. To me, it is more of a low-gravity sandbox world where you can go anywhere you like, and there are numerous secret crannies to find and explore. Some game elements are included such as the ability to collect gems and certain types of powerups and abilities, but mostly, the game encourages you to lose yourself in the ethereal sights and sounds this world provides. Some limited direction is given to you before you’re unleashed on the gameworld, and by and large, you’re expected to kind of hammer out your own direction.

Perhaps the coolest, most unique, experiences you can have. This game isn’t for those who can get motion sick easily, however they do have comfort options which might help (I dont get motion sickness so I cant comment on that). There is nothing like smoking a bowl (or getting trippy) and loosing yourself in their beautiful world. At the current moment there is not much content in the game, they have 1 world to explore. They say they plan to add more as well as a level editor which will make this game an easy 10/10. Right now the game is pretty cheap and I couldn’t recommend it more. It’s something completely new and they nailed it. If you do drugs, get this game. If you dont, still get this game.

Codename: Terranova
This game is such a hidden gem. I’m not sure what I expected when I paid $24 on an early-access co-op indie puzzle game, and to be honest I was worried it wouldn’t be any good. However, my buddy and I (who usually do such puzzle games together) were VERY pleasantly surprised. It almost felt like “We Were Here” in a way. One player is the Agent, and they’re the player that is required to buy the game. Their role is to move through the train room-by-room and solve puzzles given to them by the Operator, who doesn’t actually need to buy the game, as they use a web application with all the answers. I guess it’s also somewhat similar to “Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes” in that respect. My friend and I haven’t had a chance to finish the game yet, but we’ve both purchased the game and enjoy alternating back and forth between Agent and Operator.

This game is a lot like Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, but the Operator (the one that isn’t moving around) is able to interact far more with the environment.
For being early access, I feel it’s quite polished in regards to visuals. No texture glitches seen while playing, no physics oddities, very smooth framerate.
In terms of story, I think there’s an overarching story told through the pre-level ‘briefings.’ The story however, seems somewhat fragmented and kind of hard to follow. Certain briefings seem contradictory to later briefings.

Bro Falls: Ultimate Showdown
The “Don’t Escape Trilogy” is a collection of three short first-person point-and-click adventures with static screens (no camera movement, no scrolling). The games share a creepy atmosphere and a few gameplay mechanics, but are otherwise unrelated. In the first game, you play a werewolf trying to lock himself away before a full-moon night, so that he won’t kill anyone when he turns. In the second game, you’re trying to barricade a house and protect yourself from a zombie horde. In the third game, you’re the only surviving crew member on a spaceship and need to stop “something” from getting out.

Even though the entire trilogy is available for free on Armor Games, I chose to purchase this game series on Steam because that’s how amazing ScriptWelder really is. The Deep Sleep and Don’t Escape series were some of the first PC games I ever played, and I have ScriptWelder to thank for making my early experiences so magical. I have followed each and every game you have published on AG, hunted down every achievement, set of choices, and walkthrough I could find… simply, because every single second I spent in any of your games was one of either awe, wonder, fear, or curiosity.

My Character is Zee, i have made it to 100mil + and love the game. I would like to see more upgrades past 2060 and a possibility of multiple teams that can make multiple games at once.

Dead project. Developers had a good concept in mind bud it’s been almost a year or so, and little to any functionality actually works.
Uploaded a .obj of Banjo (my thick lord) and couldn’t do anything except just stare at it in the editor lol.
Don’t waste the harddrive space. This honestly seems like a scam.

Dr. Derk’s Mutant Battlegrounds
If you have been intrigued by AI researchers showing AIs trained to overcome obstacles and fight, this game is made for you. Set up a training scenario and watch them learn by fighting hundreds of battles per minute. I often have it running in the background attempting to train some interesting behavior.
A bit early access feel at this point, but major bugs have been ironed out already by the responsive developer.

In this game you get a dinusourodogomeow, a small pet to train, you train it badly to be agressive and kill other dinusourodogomeows or help your other dinusourodogomeows kill goups of dinusourodogomeows. or train it to be a traget in tranning for other dinusourodogomeows.
and they have actuall brain so they are alive.

Rocket Boots Mania
Ricky Runner is a fast paced precision platformer game, it’s one of the best platformer based game I ever played, I’ve put about 80h into this game even before the game was released into early access on steam, first thing first it’s now still an early access so not everything is in the game right now and I have to say that there is a lot of potential in this game, as right now this game is “just” about completing levels in best possible way to get highest amount of score to be 1st in the leaderboard.

First off: I’m a speedrunner, and I like ILs more than the average speedrunner, so the review may or may not help you if you’re in for a casual platformer experience, as I don’t have that perspective.
I like it; the gameplay is already good, and the game controls better than 95% of speedy games, at least in my opinion. The levels are very open - lots of paths to take, about 5-20 seconds long each, optimally (so far). Restarts are quick.
Currently, the game has online leaderboards for every level, where your high score is automatically submitted.

From a quick look at the game, being a game developer myself, first of all I think the mechanics are really, really good for a game like this. They don’t look all that good at first glance, but are unbelievably fun to actually play.
-
I think that in a way the game feels a lot worse than it is because of the UI, and I think a reskin would really improve the feel of the gameplay in general.
-
An undo would be useful, but i think a confirm before moving might be a better option, especially as a small mistake can end the game. That way you get to see what will be caused by your actions.

Fun game! As the other reviews say, it is comparable to a much simpler version of chess.
The AI (even on hard) is pretty easy, though, and the only option for online multiplayer is 24-hours per turn, which makes it difficult, since player on player games can easily last 20+ turns. I’d recommend at least trying this game (it’s free!) and it’s even better if you have a friend to play it with (as there is a hotseat option).
If there were online, 1 minute turns, (and maybe a ranked system at some point), I think this game could really take off.

The game is set on a sturdy foundation but will need some time to smooth out the balancing. It took me a few minutes to get use to the Casual Mobs and they increasing got harder as the dungeon went on at a nice rate, but when i finally got to the boss i got my *** pushed in as a i was horded by mobs and the boss all at once. Ill give the fact i spent almost an hour in the Dungeon and the ‘Dungeon Master’ gets more resources as the time goes on; like the game states, “find a balance of exploration and speed”. The mobs became predictable and fairly easy to defeat without much threat of death, and expect it be similar to later Mobs. The map is extremely useful however there was a moment when the only unexplored area of the map was far beyond where i was currently at and the dread that i had to cross so far was demoralizing, whether that is a good sign or not is hard to tell. i wasn’t sure if i was upset i had to fight through more mobs or the fact i was so far from my goal with nothing more than a brisk walk and minor dash (perhaps a limited run or alternate form of movement not tied to combat). Over-all i rate the game a job well done and expect it to only get better. I will continue to play and hope to improve myself and get even further next time.
