Peripeteia

Peripeteia

Peripeteia is an upcoming first-and-third-person game, mixing shooter, stealth and RPG mechanics. Heavily inspired by immersive sims made by Ion Storm and Looking Glass Studios; Peripeteia expands upon the formula with original ideas and an unexplored setting.

In an alternate history cyberpunk Poland, a young cybernetic supersoldier named Marie must make her way as a Mercenary in a post-Soviet city full of corruption and opportunity; where nations, powerful factions and ideologies clash.

You will be forced to use your wits, tact, and raw violent nature to complete tasks shrouded in conspiracy and mystery. Logic, skill and ruthless cunning will win you the day in an interactive and highly adaptive world. When that fails, a loaded gun and the ability to create your own climbing routes virtually anywhere, will suffice.

Have you found yourself hungering for a sense of survival, accomplishment, and player choice long absent from this dark and belied industry? Then consider joining us in the lights of the Eastern Night with Peripeteia.

FACE A DYING EARTH

The year is 2089. For decades past, the availability of natural resources has declined to the point of societal collapse. Nations are governed by corporations, and the planet is on the brink of an ecological collapse that will leave nothing left alive.

During mankind’s last breath arises a shadowy network of conspirators, bent on saving the human species using any means necessary – even if it means sacrificing all it means to be alive.

Follow the trails of a mysterious organization across a dying Earth, in an atmospheric singleplayer adventure of 11 locations to explore.

FIND YOUR OWN PATH

As you explore vast facilities, combat is not the only path to success. You may find that often the best approach is to avoid hostile engagement altogether and instead find creative solutions to reach your goals.

Explore alternate routes, hack computers and security systems, discover lost logs, keycodes and passwords, and use every tool at your disposal to reach your objectives.

BATTLE FOR SURVIVAL

Leave a wake of destruction as you travel across mysterious installations left behind by the ominous Contingency Accord, and turn their own weapons against them as you trigger facility-wide reactor core meltdowns.

As you traverse vast, deadly facilities, you will come across powerful armaments, experimental weapons, and secret equipment.

Use an arsenal of unique weapons and other combat equipment, as you battle both security robotics and the remnants of experiments gone horribly wrong.

DEFINE YOUR HUMANITY

You are an anomaly. Waking up in a cold storage pod with little recollection of your past, you find yourself far less human than you remember – and far more of a machine.

With strange but powerful new abilities, you are forced to reconcile with your new self, and understand what it means to be alive.

Upgrade yourself with over 100 game-changing cybernetic implants as you explore levels, defeat enemies, and gain experience.

2020: THE RIDE

2020: THE RIDE

I hated 2020, but this I loved. It’s beautiful in a surreal sort of way, though I feel bad saying that, given the grim subject matter. Still, it’s free, and I agree with the statement at the end. Nobody asked to get on the super fun ride 2020 was. But each of us gets to choose if we stay on.

Works fine on the Oculus Rift, I noticed tiny bits of lag, but I also hook my headset to a potato.

This is an extremely boring game with bland visual effect, really suck.

Booth: A Dystopian Adventure

Booth: A Dystopian Adventure

I saw this game in the recommended on YouTube and I just clicked it and after 10 seconds I felt the vibe and I said I have to buy it. There are very few people who have reviewed this game or have done videos and tutorials about it and I feel like I fell on a gem here. Great atmosphere, 2036, you’re playing as Ned Crawford a Food Inspector that works directly for the government and your task is to live in a booth and do your work, all the time. It may seem boring, but along the days you start to meet other characters, which are all very detailed and have their own personalities, I found myself having a voice for every character and it made it much more immersive. The whole setup of a Dystopian point & click game was always the thing for me, and people want to compare it to Papers Please, but for me it’s much more in depth than Papers Please, who only focuses on the task and not much on storyline. The tasks are challenging and you have to be fast and cautious sometimes. I don’t want to spoil anything, but EVERY decision you make, every Item you take and everything you do has consequences, so beware of that, that’s part of the fun. I absolutely loved this and I could easily sit and play it and not even notice the time pass. So, I don’t really like 1-10 / 1-5 ratings, all I’m going to say is, if you have 15$ and want to support great creators for a great game that will make it worth your time and money, do it…. Papi out.

First off, I want to say that the fact that Booth is not getting much, much more attention is criminal. Booth has an excellent narrative, and very engaging story, interesting and functional graphics style, great music, and the setting is just so unique and cool. I really felt as if I was working the night shift (mostly) alone and doing my job 3000 feet above the ocean in a booth tethered only by cords…miles from anywhere. My occasional visitors became friends. The drama and events that occurred engrossed me completely, allowing me to feel both a sense of humanity for those I could help, along with an all-pervasive fear of Big Brother watching me the entire time. Booth is a game much in the tradition of “Papers Please” but in my firm opinion, builds upon the formula and is an even better game than its predecessor. I came into this experience not expecting much. That being said, this game moved me, engrossed me, terrified me, soothed me, and totally suspended my disbelief. It is one of if not my favorite game I have played this year and I will not soon forget my experience. It is certainly the dark horse indie game of the decade. By all means, play this game. NOW!! It deserves to be played and it needs much more recognition than it is getting. Bravo! 5/5

Lotto Life

Lotto Life

Have you ever wondered if you could win the lottery? Here’s a chance to test that luck, without losing your shirt in the process. Lotto Life is an authentic lottery simulator similar to state-run lotteries.

Welcome to Ys, a modern city under the auspices of Lotto Life Megacorporation. Every day, in real time, a winning number is drawn for the in-game lottery. Buy tickets, read the daily newspaper, go to work, and maybe win big! Fail to pay the rent, though, and you’re looking at a new life (or perma-death, if you like) in debtor’s prison.

In line with simulating the wait-and-see experience of playing the lottery, this game plays out at a slow pace. Most days your session can take around 5 minutes to complete, and then real time must pass before more can be done.

Please note that this is a game, with no actual real-life cash payout in the event of picking a winning ticket.

nearly 10 hours in, and I’m a HUGE fan of this game. It has some bugs, but definitely makes up for it by being one of the most fun VR games currently out there by far, in my opinion.

let me say first that the reviewers not recommending this must be incredibly hard to please, you know the type… the gamers who throw controllers, and rage about bugs.

the game just came out, bugs are to be expected. with that said though, I do think this should have been listed as early access.

I’ve encountered plenty of game breaking bugs, such as:

Real player with 17.1 hrs in game

I wanted to like this game a lot. But in the end, I couldn’t. The core concept of the game is great, but it has too many design flaws and way too many bugs.

The Good:

  • Great performance

  • Chip upgrade system is fun in concept

  • When firing on all cylinders, combat situations are a lot of fun

The Bad:

  • Bad weapon balance. Two handed weapons are almost impossible to use. I would be astonished to see anyone actually complete a level with a shotgun. Dual wielding automatic weapons will always be the superior choice in every situation.
