Pipe Dreamin’ VR: The Big Easy

Pipe Dreamin’ VR: The Big Easy

A clever combination of VR puzzle games and VR climbing games.

Real player with 6.0 hrs in game

I was a fan of the old 2D puzzlers Pipe Mania and Pipe Dream, and this is a worthy VR successor. If you can tolerate a few minor imperfections and you are driven by steam achievements then it’s a fun 2.5 hours of 3D puzzling. For some strange reason it started as a slide show and I had to turn my SteamVR resolution down to 1700 x 1700 before my RTX 3060ti would make 90 fps on my Vive Pro 2, yet it still looked full resolution.

In Flames

In Flames

In Flames is a 2D adventure with lots of puzzles and an immersive storyline. It is set in the 80s rural America with all the features you’d expect – a spooky town, characters with well-developed back stories, and a great mystery to solve. Finn Clayton finds himself chained to a tree in the middle of a crisis, and is about to find out what is going on.

Oracle Trials

Oracle Trials

Oracle Trials is a 2D platformer about a warrior in armor that reminds me of a kind of mario game.

Yes, the graphics here are pixelated, but the musical accompaniment and an interesting story make you not pay attention to it.

And as they say, we need to regain our strength by killing bad opponents.

If you love platformers as much as I do, then you should definitely play Oracle Trials. I won’t say that this is a revolution in the genre, but it is a very high-quality platformer with a bunch of different features and an interesting perspective. I didn’t expect anything from the game, but I got a lot of pleasure. The game has extremely nice graphics, great music and very responsive character controls.

7/10.

Nice simple game, enjoyed it quite a lot. For the young of soul.

If you are old with slow reflexes like me, spoilers : (select to read)

! Some gameplay hints.

  • Beginning, rotate once the bridge, go to north wall, climb and cross bridge.

! - Pass a brown gate, push green statue to green square and gate before opens.

! - Break all golden bulls and the golden door breaks.

! - Minotaur, kill him 3 times, each time destroy his heart, and he finally goes up in smoke and the lava/flame tongues barring the way disappear.

To put it blunt it had potential but this is obviously a money grab game that they abondened halfway if u had bought it refund it quick

Introduction

Quite some time has passed since my last review for a title focusing on hacking and other covert activities. It’s a relatively narrow niche, rather than a full-fledged strategic subgenre. In any case, I enjoy such breaks from norm and regard Digital Siege as a slightly more complex tower defense game, to put things into perspective. As in most situations, the best defense can only be offense. Developer Dreambakers had a prolific debut year, as Digital Siege is their sixth consecutive project released in 2018. Just as they describe themselves, I agree on their focus for “experimental games” transcending genre boundries. Intelligence gathering may a pill that’s harder to swallow by some, but it’s a crucial activity nonetheless. As with most “commodities”, what you do with the information afterwards is far more important than stockpiling it, so to speak. Its value never decreases, no matter the parties involved.
