The Dungeons of Castle Madness
Love this game! The goal is to get through all the areas and confront the Baron in Castle Madness.
There are a few puzzles here and there and in some areas you have to be very eagled eyed or you might miss something really good ;-)
My only tip is - talk to the characters, you might learn a thing or two!

I’m enjoying this game quite a bit. Combat is fun, especially with some of the newer updates that have been pushed out by the devs. It seems to be a harder game if you want to play as a pure wizard but then maybe I’m just better as a warrior type or some type of blend in between. The retro look works well, on some levels better than others, and there can be a few frame rate issues sometimes but nothing too bad. The game seems to be getting frequent updates so I think any issues will get resolved (if they haven’t been already). The new gem bag is great, it means less items taking up space in the backpack. The crafting skills do pay off in this game so I’d add a point or two into them as you level up. All things considered I would say, recommended. And good value, too. I’ve still got a long way to go before I finish it.

Midnight’s Curse
This wasn’t a bad game, but it wasn’t necessarily good one either. This looks like a high school project that could’ve gone through a bit more polishing before attempting to sell it. Here’s some good and some bad points that I’ve experienced while playing:
Pros:
-
Art is pleasant on the eyes
-
Gameplay is simple and easy to understand
-
Overall balance is spot on
-
Story is unique and intriguing
Cons:
- Not enough character interactions! I’d like to see more between this odd party of people. Perhaps make inns/rest points have little cut scenes periodically when resting at one.

Very lazy & poor effort at an RPG Maker game and it makes me angry that lazy developers such as this one give the engine and the genre a bad rep. Unbelievable that publisher Aldorlea Games are selling this, did they even play the game before deciding to sell it?
A good RPG Maker Game starts with a compelling story, interesting characters and sharp dialogues. An interesting plot makes you want to continue playing. This game has none of that: bland characters, very little dialogue and endless grinding. On top of that grinding there hardly is enemy variation, leveling up takes ages abd characters have hardly any abilities. Just everything about this game is bad. A very lazy effort that is just a shameless attempt at grabbing some money.

Freebooter of SPLORR!!
I flung turds at a werewolf, bribed some bats, dropped my trousers and defeated a dragon. All this while drinking beer, wine and coffee to keep me going! Was an interesting, random pickup ex’splorring' this game. Trying to win on hard mode now and not poop myself… again.
Definitely recommended for some lighthearted quirky fun!

Freebooter of SPLORR!! is a fun call back to dungeon crawlers of old. Mixed with some great humour and unique encounters, this is definitely worth it. The music and sound effects are on point, giving you an immersive experience.
The randomness of the dungeons ensures plenty of mixed gameplay, and plenty of achievements to work your way towards! Great game if you love the dungeon crawler style games! Highly recommend!

Dark Forest: Lost Story VR
Experienced on the Oculus Quest 2
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/r9lO-ZJu9Og
This is a horror game for VR that currently only has 1 of 2 story chapters available. The story of Baba Yaga can be split up into three different parts, plus the intro. Whole thing took me approximately 1 hour, but I took the scenic route (which leads to many deaths unfortunately). I think you can easily finish this game in 30 minutes otherwise.
The intro is just really walking from point A to point B while some scary stuff happens. The first part is simply figuring out how to get through the level (finding the key and where to use it) and you may come across the Baba Yaga and she will kill you if you don’t escape. The second part is mostly chasing sequences where you have to find enough obects hidden within the areas. The last part is a horror stealth section where you have to figure out the patrols of enemies who hear very well, but can’t see.

Rescue Operation
For the price I paid for this game? it is SO worth it!!
It’s a bit of a throwback to the days of Far Cry and FEAR… both of those wrapped up into one. It has elements that obviously feel like an indie game but that’s not always a bad thing :) It is on rails… yes… no open world. It uses health kits only for healing like in the days of Quake and Quake II. But the atmosphere is oppressive… the level design may not be quite to the level of “inspired” but it’s very creative and not at all repetitive. The music is excellent! Definitely sets the mood. The game was obviously written by not English speaking coders but the story is pretty much the same as usual… “we need you to go into the secret base and find out what happened.” Not important. Lots of different guns, and all feel VERY real with good animation and very realistic sound effects. The enemies are challenging without being bullet sponges… the game chooses tactics and execution over raw power or pre-scripted “run around and click all the switches” boss fights and I very much appreciate that.

Resque Operation
Positives:
-
its short
-
some parts are ok
-
the sound and atmosphere is okay
Negatives:
-
bad graphics and view distance
-
extremely slow movement
-
you cant run and shoot at the same time
-
a lot of bugs, some almost game breaking
-
jumping height is to low and buggy
-
the monsters are bad
-
the last level is too hard
I didnt have the greatest expectations, even though a lot of people was positive to this game.
Unfortunately I have to say, it wasnt any good.
Sure the idea is okay, and some elements work.
