Strangers of the Power

Strangers of the Power

I have to give credit where credit is due. In this game, the developer has provided a robust offering and growth continues on the game. That is to say “the developer cares about this product, this product is small enough to actually have the developer read every post”.

A classic plot, coupled tension breaking fun throughout. A good “read” in the literary sense, jovial and interesting. A must have for any RPG fan. This game motivated me to publish my own RPG up on Steam. Check it out, The Goracle by Silent Daddio Studios. Your games should entertain you with a good story. I laughed out loud a few times with Strangers of the Power. It failed to make me cry, however, was not lacking in the passion. Thanks for making it available to play on iMac, that extra effort made a difference to me.

(Gotten a key to this courtesy of the developer’s submission to a group I no longer write for!)

It blows my eye holes and fills me with REAL POWER!

(If the video gets removed: Real Power from Adventure Time)

Before I begin this review, I must first issue an apology to a friend and developer. For a long time I had this game (maybe about a year) and for that period, I put it on the back burner among my backlog. He has been very passionate about his project and I have done him a disservice by issuing him a promise and reneging on that for so long. So, it’s time I fulfill my promise and give the feedback that has been asked for so long. I’m sorry for this inconvenience, Tuomo.

Knight Bewitched 2

Knight Bewitched 2

I just fell in love with the story and the characters of Knight Bewitched 2 and its predecessor and can’t wait to play the remastered version of Knight Bewitched :) Not one boring minute in this game. No overly complicated puzzles that give you a headache for days and no mindless backtracking all the time. Just perfect for some chill hours and a good laugh here and there. I highly recommend this game. Also looking forward to Celestial Hearts, looks promising so far ^^ And who knows, maybe Knight Bewitched 3 will be announced some day in the future, I have not lost all hope yet ;)

A fantastic rpg that has all old school elements done extremely well. Eight characters with different skills and plenty of weapons/armor/accessories and upgraded skill slots just add to the fun. Great story and interactions between all the characters enhances the enjoyment. Many interesting quests with terrific battle system and lots of useful items. Towns are nicely designed and there is a map. Exploring everywhere can give you nice bonuses. Hoping for another future Knight Bewitched game. This is a must play rpg!

Ergastulum: Dungeon Nightmares III

A very terrorfull game. Never imagined the dungeon nightmares games would get even more terrifying! I’m currently in the chamber of the damned… so intense!!! So far I’ve been cornered by bloody marry and the sniffing lady (don’t know her name yet, sorry lol), and found by the sniffing lady. I was just wandering around the dungeon and all of a sudden I heard this sniffing sound in my right ear. Turned to look and there she was! Was both kinda humorous and terrifying. Definitely DON’T recommend this game to the faint of heart. This dungeon I’m currently in is so intense I might not be able to finish it! lol Love the new abilities though. The ability to look around corners is great and the ability to hide when able is awesome! Thanks for making this game and can’t wait to see where else it may go. Keep it up 3

Magical Diary: Wolf Hall

Magical Diary: Wolf Hall

First and foremost I’ll state that I’m giving a thumbs up mostly because, if you’re a fan of the genre, then this game offers pretty much all that you may want from it: writting is solid, art looks great, and there’s all kinds of romance and drama for anything you might fancy.

That being said, I personally feel slightly disappointed.

For starters, events that are hinted at in certain routes as being relevant for others end up being a non-issue once you get there

! - the best example being how Kyo is pretty much absent through Minnie’s route save for a couple of dirty looks-, or how certain events that feel like they’ll have some impact end up being irrelevant

! -when you convince Minnie to talk to the professors about Kyo during Barbara’s route, it is never brought up again, we don’t get to know if he gets some sort of punishment-. There’s also the fact that certain choices seem to have pretty much zero impact on the development of your relationships and serve only to give you two or three different lines, which is okay with small dialogue options on minor events, but it’s not okay during a big emotional scene.

Magical Diary Horse hall was an amazing game about attending a magic school, and also an adorable dating simulator. I’ve been waiting years for the sequel, so my expectations were sky high. I backed the Kickstarter with incredible excitement. I’m happy to say Wolf Hall lived up to all my expectations.

The game takes everything in the Magical Diary formula and expands upon it - it’s essentially a retelling of the first game’s school year from a completely different protagonist’s point of view. The game also very much continues the first game’s queer-positivity, female-positivity, and sex-positivity.
