Undead Darlings ~no cure for love~
okay indie game for those who want dungeon crawl with anime girls, but expect to face several inconvenience if you want to try this. On plus side, it is unique in that there are many unique and funnily designed enemies, something rare in anime dungeon crawlers since they usually come from Japan. Different culture tropes rather than usual animal tropes(though this game also contains lots of it) can be found here, which sets this apart from translated Japanese games. Also, English VA is also more appreciable since it doesn’t have translation problem as well.

Everything of this game is a pain in the arse. From battle mechanics to map settings to gameplays, none I can enjoy casually. On top of that, completion rewards you with little to no satisfaction.
Give or take, about 70% of the dialogues are not even voiced.
Covers the lack of content by using dumb dungeon mechanics to stall progress.
On average to complete the later dungeons you’ll probably waste 3-4 hours of your life along with 50+ pitfall drops.
Doesn’t show controls, doesn’t allow change of keys. doesn’t show anything that indicates your affection with girls.

Frayed Knights: The Skull of S’makh-Daon
“Well, if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: never pay more than 20 dollars for a computer game.”
~Guybrush Threepwood
So, here’s a question for you, guys. Did you like games like Might & Magic VI, Wizardry 8 and Wizards & Warriors? Well, this game is nothing like those. Only it is. In a way. See, Frayed Knights is a parody game. But it looks so old school that it’s really hard not to love it. Well, at least for the old farts like yours truly. Because modern kids? They’ll probably feel like the game is plain ugly. But for those who remember the games above? It’ll be a nice little surprise.

So … Frayed Knights.
It is one heck of a good game! It has it’s pros and cons though. But I beat it, and here is what I think.
Let’s get the bad stuff out of the way first.
1. Items and spell descriptions - Some of these can be totally wrong (I’m looking at you Peel Armor and Potion of Resist Disease), so it can get confusing. But once you figure out what they are, it isn’t bad.
2. Quick spell slots - Only 3? That’s right. So most of the time, you’ll forget about your other spells. That is a pain. I’d suggest priniting out a spell list for yourself.

The Throne of Bernicia
This was a wonderful game (and it was totally free). The characters changed expressions that coincided with the dialogue (like smiles, closed eyes, wide-eyed looks) and you could see them immediately, just like they were real people. It had a good amount of side quests. You had choices on what your responses could be and most of the time your responses would result in different outcomes. The story was well written and the dungeons were not all the same. It was not predictable so several times I was surprised with what happened. The battles had different backgrounds. There was comedy as well as drama.

I was looking for a random Indie JRPG to play, and happened to find this one yesterday. It’s absolutely free, without ads or in game purchases!
I’ve already beaten this game. While I wish a screen with controls would have been useful, it wasn’t too difficult to figure out. Use Z to select, X for back (or menu), arrow keys to move. There are some other buttons, that are repetitive to these, but this felt the most natural. It has some typo errors, but nothing over the top. The biggest bug I encountered is that Ghosts do not give experience or gold. There is end game gold exploit, but honestly at that point it didn’t matter for me. There are also 2-4 chat screens with an error for the speaker portrait and naming.

LABYRINTH OF TOUHOU - GENSOKYO AND THE HEAVEN-PIERCING TREE
where do i start on this game’s review? heck if i know but i’ll try to leave it readable
the fun i have had in this game exceeds that of over 99% of rpg games i have ever played the combat is excellent its kinda like active time battle but each time you or the enemy gets their turn the atb bars stop increasing until everyone who has their atb bar around 10000 or so had their turn then atb bars resume increasing up to 10000 then those characters or enemies have thier turn rinse and repeat
the difficulty with the bosses is legendarily hard even by dark souls standards you will die a lot of times and when i say a lot I MEAN YOU WILL DIE A HEAP OF TIMES (assuming if you dont over power yourself because lets face it overpowered characters negating the challenge is less fun then stepping on the edges of lego pieces barefoot) joke aside the some of the bosses will take every single bit of knowledge you have from this game and any other similar role playing games to even have a slight chance take it from me i have been party wiped so fast i didn’t even have time to say darn i got shredded and owned lol (i party wiped so many times though not once have a rage quit because of the boss’s difficulty it happens because i made the blooming mistakes that made the party wipe happen oh for those fans of a certain super hard rpg game im not going to say who it is but all you need know is a certain npc appears from that series somewhere in this game when i saw them i was like nooo….. can it you are you really them? no blooming way its them (yes it was them i can tell because i played a good bit of that game series myself

Sketch Crawler
Sketch Crawler is a super-creative deck-building roguelike single player RPG game about the King of Cartoons who lost his kingdom in a wicked magic picture.
The Magic of Drawing
With just one click, you can redraw any object in the game: creatures, spells, walls, furniture, and decorations. Your drawings will be saved and used for further generations of the Sketch Crawler world.
The Мagic of Сolor
In the world of Sketch Crawler, colors have their own mysterious power. By adding a color to a creature, you can add new abilities and powers to it. By adding a color to a magic spell you can greatly enhance it.
Endless Fun
The procedural generation of dungeons and enemies gives you endless gameplay.
Roguelike
You will die many times and start over and over again, trying to save the King of Cartoons. And that’s okay. The cool thing is that once you make it through the dungeon, you’ll keep all the cards you have collected along the way and your next campaigns will be better prepared.
Peacemaker
There is no need to kill to win here. You can let your enemy escape, the amount of loot and experience you get will not change.
Experimental Game
We are experimenting with letting players create whatever they want and make it matter in the game. We want to tempt players to draw.
A Place for a Scene
You will also be able to record voiceovers for all your characters and even for your enemies!
Features:
-
Everything you draw appears in a procedurally generated world.
-
Conquer dungeons with turn-based card combat.
-
Build your ultimate deck from cards you find.
-
Redraw found cards to give them new properties.
-
Draw creatures and see them fighting for you.
! That Bastard Is Trying To Steal Our Gold !
Well, we can throw dynamite in this game. Usually throwing dynamite under your feet would be a stupid idea but hey, this is a video game. And yes, it gets boring after 5 minutes.
Beside that this a logical game with a bit of platforming where you need to gather all of the pot items (whatever that is) and get back to the entrance after that. You have a limited amount of dynamite that you need to use to detonate dark blue blocks in order to gather items or find a way back.
Not much more to write about this one, really.

This is a fairly austere looking indie puzzle platformer that requires you to collect bags of gold in a two-dimensional upright grid based playfield by jumping around and blasting obstacles with a finite amount of dynamite. This limited resource adds a strategy layer to an otherwise unexciting game.
The visuals are not what I would expect in this kind of game. I think the designer was trying for a puzzle game “feel” in a 2.5D action game aesthetic. The underground cavern background is nice, but the rectangular playfield is suspended in the air like a bunch of stacked blocks in an ant farm. It would look better If it was attached to the ground and background as if it was hewn out of the earth. It would look equally better if it was surrounded by a border like a browser-based puzzle game. Trying to do both (or neither - I honestly can’t tell) fails on many levels. The graphics are downright jarring.

Dungeons 2
Dungeons 2 is a dungeon management meets real-time strategy game. You are the Ultimate Evil who tries to rid the world of those pesky goody-two-shoes like elves, dwarves and “heroes” who live on the surface and regularly invade your dungeon to steal your gold. You fight back with your evil horde consisting of orcs, goblins, trolls and snake-like nagas which you first have to train and slap into proper shape while trying to keep them fed drunk and entertained, and mining gold to pay for it all.

Do you like dungeon builders? Do you like reference humor? Do you like fourth-wall breaking? Do you like defeating heroes and make the world better for your poor evil creatures? … No? Well then, the game isn’t for you, but if you like those things, then the game certainly deserves a look and is worth your time.
Mandatory Dungeon Keeper 2 mention/comparison:
First let us get this out of the way, because it is apparently internet law to compare a dungeon building/management game to Dungeon Keeper. This game feels closer to Dungeon Keeper than it does to the first Dungeons game. The focus is more on the creatures than the actual dungeon lord, and defeating heroes as opposed to entertain them to harvest their soul energy.

Dungeons of Dredmor
I can’t believe I haven’t written a review for one of my favorite games of all time.
Dungeons of Dredmor is an incredible roguelike. It’s a liiiiittle buggy, but sometimes that bugginess is part of the charm. Other times you get stuck in geometry by accident and crash to desktop. It’s a SOMEWHAT stable game, but it does sometimes hardlock, so make sure you save frequently(I recommend right before and after heading down a floor).
the classes are varied and creative, with literally over four dozen different skill trees to choose from, you pick seven and head off to your likely rapid doom. Most skill trees have viability, there’s very few out and out stinkers, and even then those can be propped up by better skills or even buoy good skills into amazing skills when combo’d together.

TL:DR Imagine if your favourite comedian was also a nuclear physicist.
It’s taken me a while to write this review - because I CAN’T STOP PLAYING.
Thou art a pimple on the dungeon floor!
I used to play a dungeon based game called Larn when I should have been studying. In those days PCs only had two colours and in that game walls were portrayed using the ‘#’ and ‘U’ was reserved for a creature called Umber Hulk. The little ‘g’ was a creature called Gelatinous Cube. I hated that guy. The whole world was built using key board characters which allowed your imagination to flourish. Cue deep romantic sigh.

Pug With Bomb
This game is tagged as a procedurally-generated.
This is not true.
Each map is custom-made and not generated.
I don’t think it had even 10 levels total.
It’s also tagged as cute and family friendly.
Unless you find dog poop cute and family friendly.
After playing the very few maps, the game ends abruptly on a black and white screen filled even more poop, which you cannot exit from.
You will be repeatedly killed before the enemy even touches you.
Enemies move fast and unpredictably, so there’s no way to even plan a strategy.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as an Orc
im sure it would be worth it were it not for the error screen i get upon starting. i dont see any H scenes and im assuming its due to the error pop-up upon launch. i have no idea because the words are not in english but the game plays nonetheless and the one punch nature of it is hilarious. i only discovered the lack of H scenes due to dialogue that clearly suggested they happened and the dialogue leading up to when i assume they should happen.

Pros
-You can tell serious work was put into this, great art
-Decent story with good characters and a lot of humor
-Nice lewd scenes
Cons
-Kind of a weird hybrid between a RPG and a visual novel that basically uses the RPG portions for storytelling - you will be disappointed if you are expecting serious RPG mechanics
-MC is kind of a creep
Conclusion
Good, immersive story with high-quality art and a lot of comedy. I recommend waiting for a sale since it is a little expensive. While it looks like a RPG, it plays a lot more like a visual novel, so just be aware of that.
