Prepare to face the unimaginable magnificence of the university of Selenwald!

Enter the halls of Selenwald to learn forbidden knowledge never meant to leave the cursed edifice. Meet madmen and face horrors that cannot be described by mere words. Discover the truth that terrifies scientists and priests alike.

  • Challenging Combat - Fight for survival having ultimate control over your character’s actions. Engage in melee combat or take enemies down from afar using firearms and powerful magic. Aim carefully since every attack can miss if executed blindly. Dodge enemy attacks and adapt to enemies' behaviour. Use stealth and assassinate or sneak past enemies to avoid risky encounters altogether.

  • Character Development - Every class has different starting traits and types of inventory slots available. Make choices when being presented with new random traits to gain power and build interesting combinations. Modify your inventory with acquired accessories to further customize your character.

  • Permanent Death - If your character dies, they die for good. Choose a new, random adventurer and embark on a new adventure. Even if you don’t manage to go far, your actions will have consequences that carry over to subsequent playthroughs. Dying is a natural part of the game.

  • Random Dungeons - Every playthrough brings completely different areas to explore. No shuffled predefined rooms - truly original locations every time.

  • Unique Setting - Visit Western Europe of the late 1700s to discover how scientists isolated from the outer world crossed boundaries dictated by known science to gain access to powerful forces reminiscent of magic. Gain answers to mysteries never before found on the pages of written history.

  • Mature Story - Unravel the dark, rich story of philosophical nature. Witness how a groundbreaking scientific revelation drives even the brightest minds into madness. Meet tragic characters with intriguing past. Discover the very foundations of life and death and see the true, terrifying nature of matters humanity has desperately tried to explain with religion.

The Legend of Bean

The Legend of Bean

The Legend of Bean is a rather good RPG/adventure game on the RPGMaker format.

Not quite innovative, especially the storyline, but with a fair gameplay. At no point I felt lost like not knowing where to head to.

I appreciate that after the main quest is completed you can still travel through the whole game world in order to defeat other bosses and eventually get a 100% achievements.

I don’t care if the grammar isn’t perfect, I’m not expecting the same language level as in a book. Dialogues are perfectly understandable and that’s enough for that kind of games.

The Legend of Bean is a nice, short and funny little RPG-Maker game.

While the English tranlation is poor, it’s still understandable and quite funny. The game comes at a cheap price and is worth what it’s asking for.

You play with a group of three people, and the battle system is quite uniqe. It’s fast paced, so you can do the battles really quickly. It took me about 9 hours to finish the game. After clearing the main story, you can still keep on playing, fighting some newly spawned bosses, some of them a little challenging. The good thing is, you don’t need to grind a lot, there is a merchant that sells big bags of experience!

I really wanted to like this game given its similarity to hotline miami, as well as looking really gorgeous, but there are just too many things wrong with it for this to be currently sold out of early access. Some examples being, the game being 20gb when it can be compressed down to 10gb through Compactor, it being incredibly unoptimized (my 1060,i7-7k, 16gb of ram rig struggling to push out 50-60 fps), not being able to turn off/turn down the repetitive music even though theres an option in settings(!), melee weapons feeling incredibly clunky, and falling out of the literal map. On the other hand, I will say that there are some really good aspects about the game such as the previously mentioned graphics being really pretty and some of the mechanics are kind of interesting. However in its current state I feel the dev has just rushed the gun on marketing this spaghetti code, and if he really felt that he wanted to make it great, his plan should have been making some version of this a free demo and THEN publish a polished game, instead of the current mess that it is. However, I suspect that this game has ultimately been abandoned given there havent been any updates since april of this year (and it was published of january of this year), but I suppose time will tell.

For and early access game its, fine leaning on not being a good first impression. The games music is broken and continues playing at the loudest volume possible, the loading and performance is heavily unoptimized to the point where even my 1070 and i7 seem stressed. The hit registration is confusing and inconsistent as hell when you think you should hit or be hit by a melee weapon, it doesnt land, not to mention most guns dont sound or hit the way you would think, a shotgun seems to fire as if it was a semi automatic assault rifle without any power, it feels like its shooting 5.56 or 9mm rounds. The spells have no impact and aren’t explained either. If you want to go in barehanded you cant even attack. The loading of levels is just strange and laggy. Nothing really motivates me to move forward, and this first impression has been a very sour one so far. I can’t recommend this game so far although it looks like it can have potential. Don’t take this the wrong way but i’ve been keeping an eye out on this game and it look interesting, i want it to succeed but in its current state it leaves much to be desired even in early access compared to the other games i have played.

Amborettio

Amborettio

Amborettio is an interesting game with a unique story behind it. I was impressed with the details in the backstory and I enjoyed collecting materials to build the required tools for the game. For the price, I would recommend this game to everybody who is interested. The solo developer has completed impressive work with this game at a fair price. I look forward to seeing the future games that this developer publishes.

Save The Heart Planet

Save The Heart Planet

Love the whole concept of the game, but the entire game itself is basically a walking simulator, glitches galore and typos too. Sentences are worded like a 3 year old put them together. Words are spelled like a 3 year old, the word “Quit” is spelled “Quite” multiple times, lmao. Also there’s no graphical settings and the view in 3rd person camera is set to the left, no option to switch it to the right or should be right side camera to begin with like most games, never seen a left 3rd person camera view but i guess it’s different, it’s cool in a way just wish i could switch it to the right as that’s what i’m used to in most other games and feel more comfortable with. That is one major flaw upon many others of this game, STHP. This is a homemade game, 8.99 is waaayy too steep. If you think the concept of this game is cool like I did, pick it up when it goes on sale, but as of right now this game doesn’t even stand in my eyes and is sitting in my trash pile until it’s updated more and gets fixed. The game is worth maybe $2 in the state that it’s in. Maybe not even that.
