Kismet Tapestry
spoilers, not that it’ll mean much
i can confidently say that whatever you expect from this game- you wont get. it opens with 2 minutes of footage of an expedition in the arctic accompanied with what i would describe as music for people who like the sound of nails on a chalkboard (which certainly spices up the footage, if a bit loud). after this we cut to some of the dryest turnbased rpg gameplay ive ever experienced with 2.5D controls so bad it made my head hurt. why make a game 2.5D with grid movement? why only slimes? it took me 5 minutes to figure out the controls.

Earth’s Shadow
Earth’s Shadow is a third person action Sci-Fi dungeon crawler set in the year 3081 on planet Sumbra; a remote alien planet where legends of valuable relics surround this black world, calling to the greedy and brave explorers seeking a bright future… but end up uncovering an even darker past.
Working a dead-end job… Alexi-Ru, a cyborg CSP (cargo ship pilot), tends to fill the void-ness of his boring flight job by day-dreaming of the mysterious stories surrounding planet Sumbra, aka Earth’s Shadow.
In the year 3081, the original Earth and it’s galaxy has been dead for centuries, and although a few humans still exist, colonized in far away sectors… Earth’s legacy is not forgotten with some even referring to Sumbra, as the shadow of Earth.
Intrigued by Earth’s history, Alexi-Ru often finds himself flying millions of light-clicks off his normal cargo route just to speed by the mysterious planet, hoping to catch a glimpse of something on the alien surface via radar that might force him to slow down or possibly even stop.
Eventually Alexi-Ru’s curiosity is justified when his ship encounters a malfunction one night, while passing by the tiny planet, forcing him to crash-land on the surface he dreamed of so often on previous flights.
Alexi-Ru remembers his attention right before the impending crash, focused on an un-jostled book, thrown from a compartment during the violent atmosphere re-entry, titled… “When Day-Dreams Turn To Nightmares”
“That doesn’t mean anything,” mumbles Alexi-Ru, trying to re-assure himself as he arms himself with a Tec-9000 semi-automatic and sets forth to explore… Earth’s Shadow.

Hyperspace Harvest
Engineer and mod crops, tools, gear and weapons!
Create your own strands of plants to grow on your whale farm and optimize your crop builds according to preferences/playstyle. Modify weapon creatures with a wide variety of submods, change your tools performance for specific tasks and even alter your own body with bio-engineered symbionts.
Fresh farming in a fresh setting!
Explore the surface of the whale across its season-like life cycle of continuous death and rebirth. Use your multitool in skill-driven minigames to clear cancerous overgrowth, infected feather trees and mineral crustations. Grow self-made crops on the hex-skin of the whale and discover hidden interactions between plants, tiles and native vegetation.
(A system inspired by Permaculture, a real life concept about crop synergies.)
Juicy dungeon crawling!
Explore the different anatomic regions of the whale and fight various diseased cells, constructs and hardlight entities that have turned against their host. Use a wide variety of modable weapon creatures, both for melee and ranged combat. Make use of your Vet-Suit’s superior mobility and manage suit energy to charge shields and weapons.
Streamlined UI and Mechanics!
-
Universal tesseract inventory! No need to search through a dozen chests to find that one piece of gold ore.
-
Your whaler tool is a single item that adapts to tasks you want to carry out, but can still be upgraded in individual areas.
-
The time management aspect of the farming portion of the game does not interfere with the other core mechanics. Dungeon crawling only advances time when clearing a room and time of day pauses completely while moding gear, giving you the freedom to experiment and exploring possible builds at your own time.
-
I hope you like smells cause the game constantly tells you the current odor of your surrounding! (with more gameplay implications in the future).

To The Light
Quite simple 2D (RPGMaker?) RPG without leveling and with real time fights right on the map. In order to progress you have to collect gear and buffs. Be careful with item buffs because they are NOT infinite in uses and you may lose them permanently. You can use them again to temporary disable. For example, you may want to disable items when breaking large rotating crystals since they will explode, harm you and break a few buff items. And you have to break at least some of these to progress. Probably the most important buff is shield since I haven’t found where yo restock it and it opens paths blocked with spikes. A couple of secrets, a few easter eggs and multiple endings… well, kinda. You just either do everything right or end up with a wrong one. Don’t rush collecting all quantum piece, though, or you won’t be able to get 2 achievements for the wrong endings. Save often in different slots and you should be fine. Music is nice, art is pretty, story is bizarre and shown mostly with environment and short in-game animations. In case you desire more kinky stuff install both nude patches (look on community hub). Does it actually worth a full price? Not quite sure, but it ain’t bad. With good discount might worth to pick up.

This game could have been much better if it did not give conflicting information to the player.
For example some enemies you could hit, while others you can’t and you get hurt when you attack them. There is no indication that could help you identify this, so you have to experiment and lose lifes and restart or load again.
Another example is that some rocks could hurt you when you try to push them or hit them, while others don’t. Again how would the player know? many other example exists but I think these two gives a clear idea.

OUTLIER
OUTLIER is a roguelite adventure VR game featuring FPS and RPG elements. Players can control and mix various abilities, utilize an array of weapons, and explore breathtaking worlds, making for a diverse and progressive gameplay experience.
You are a captain of one of the last human arks. In search of a new home for humanity, your vessel was sucked into a black hole. From your position beyond space and time, you witness an unknown race devastating what looks like a habitable solar system. The unknown physics of the black hole endow you with mysterious powers and allow you to exist in parallel worlds. Live, die, and repeat in your quest to conquer at least one of these worlds in the name of mankind.
Game Features
• Elaborate, yet randomized level generation
Every level is procedurally generated. This means each new restart is a brand-new experience for the player. You will meet different characters and experience new artifacts, weapons, and story pieces. Your unique abilities build across the game’s even in a single game session.
• Making the most of VR
The advanced controls integrate a wide range of movements. As you tactically break your way through the enemy hordes and navigate the complex terrain, you’ll need to use your body to cast artifact powers, slam enemies with surrounding objects, cut them into pieces, dodge their attacks, hide behind objects, jump, dash, and more.
• Micro and macro player progression
The combination of power-ups and ability modifiers makes for different experiences. Combine your spells together to get new ones: mix a fireball and a telekinetic push to acquire both an explosive fireball and a fire push. Shape your character and armory between the runs to construct diverse builds for any playstyle."
• Explore a looped Sci-Fi world
The solar system after alien race expansion is a harsh place, full of harsher occupants. As you progress through each planet, random events and new storyline pieces will help you to infiltrate the black hole and fight back against the intruders. Interconnected levels drive you to explore your surroundings, full of breathtaking landscapes and mysteries like secret rooms, hidden passages, and artifacts.
The decisions you make through each life and death cycle provide for a story that is uniquely tailored to each player.
Space Hack
Overall, after spending 45 hours grinding through this game and going through all 15 BioSpheres and all 45 levels, I can say for sure that Space Hack isn’t worth the experience in present times or at least has aged horribly.
TL;DR: This game is extremely tedious and repetitive and although I had fun in a few places I can’t really recommend this to anyone unless they are looking to complete a random game and they are willing to spend hours and hours battling with the same stuff. Even for a 2005 game it suffers from horrible pacing which shows the lack of interesting mechanics to play with.

I’ve been playing ARPGs for a long time. This sucks as an ARPG.
These are my problems with it:
-
No chest system. Biggest problem in my case. I like to save items I might or not use in the future in some place. This game didn’t have that. I ended up using my base to save good gear, by the end I had over 50 items laying around.
-
A lot back-tracking. Get this: the inventory is 10x5. A bit tiny except some items can be 2x4 in size, and as mentioned before, no chest system. So let’s say you find 5 items with size 2x4, and then a 2x2 item. You’re done, you can’t pick up the 2x2 one. You have to go back to your base (for which you have a thing called “hi-techs”, which are basically spells; most are good and useful, some don’t use your energy), deal with items however you want to deal them (again, no chest system), go back to the quest, rinse and repeat. I think at the fourth or fifth time it happens in the same map, you’re allowed to swear at the devs.

Apocalypse Island
About Gameplay
Apocalypse Island is an open-world adventure game. The player take on the role of main character Yolanda as she travels between fantasy dreams and the boring real world. The gameplay brings together many elements such as cultivating, survival, combat, FPS, etc.
In the game, the items are interoperable in the real world and the dreams. You can buy weapons and information from special stores in the real world, and then bring them into the dreams to help you fight against all kinds of powerful enemies. And when you defeat them, they will drop loot. You can bring the loot back to the real world in exchange for a lot of money.
Money is very important in the game. There are a variety of ways to earn money, including going to work, investing in stocks, doing business to earn the price difference, and it can only be earned in the real world. Don’t forget to buy some food and medicine with the money you earned, you will need them whether in the real world or in the dreams. Besides, you can also use the money to buy new houses, sofas, lamps, carpets and other items that improve your life quality and make you feel better.
Of course, if you are a player who loves cultivating, the game also has also created a clothing system for you, so you can dress up your main character.
About Weapons
Various weapons have been added to the game, from knives to RPGs. If you want to use them, upgrade your weapon level first. To upgrade your level, you need to learn from a specialized weapon school.
About Monsters
There are dozens of monsters in the game, from the ground to the sky, and each monster has its own AI and attack mode.
About Maps
The map in the game is not big, and every house can be explored. You need to explore and find some information hidden in the houses. You should always be careful when exploring the houses, because houses are the favorite places for some giant insects to build nests.
MAZEMAN
Hit the halfway mark. Pretty entertaining game for only 5$. Worth the price.
Basically crypt of the necromancer not if is was not a rythm game and your characters always running. Game gets really challenging as levels go on.

Remove the achievement for 200 levels of dungeon crawling, no one wants to do that… if anyone has or bothers to in the future, I feel really bad for them. I will not be bothering. The ridiculously long wait time, while the game is running, after level 160+ is criminal, especially after having sunk a straight week and half of vigilant attention. I see no reason to trade off from ore gains, etc, to forge bonuses, I tried on one ascension to bother with forge upgrades and it was mega-depressing. remove these stupid unit items that do nothing, like EVERY MAGIC UNIT ITEM… Do you want to upgrade the bonuses granted by use of the staves, wands, books power/patience/whatever? NO! I DO NOT! I WANT TO GET TO LEVEL 170, THANK YOU! I want to be DONE already, thank you! Sitting around the Octillion-Nonillion ranges, 165+ Level, all Units sitting between 300 highest to 110 Lowest (‘Shapes of Damage - Units’ the last five possible units, all over 100, with tems, etc…) Do something to fix this and I will change my review.
