Euro Truck Simulator 2

Euro Truck Simulator 2

I did a review before, Back then i had 18 Hours playtime. Now i gained a lot more hours on it :D

Back then my Review was not very detailed and since then Euro Truck Simulator 2 got updated constantly and has much more to offer by now, i decided to redo my review. So let’s begin shall we? :3

(For those who don’t want to read a book and expect a review in form of an IGN Joke - 10/10 would relax again)

The General Idea of the Game/Whats it about

The easiest answer would obviously be “Driving Trucks” B-But wait! That’s not all there is to know silly. This game is in all reality a “Relax and listen to a Podcast/Music while you drive Simulator”. This game is about you, your truck and an open Europe to travel across. How you do it, what trucks you will drive, what cargo you will haul or the places you will see is all up to you.

What is Euro Truck Simulator 2?

Well, basically you drive a truck and deliver trailers to your destinations across Europe. This game is from the people of SCS who made other Truck Simulator games, as referring to 18 Wheels Of Steel Series and Euro Truck Simulator

Seems boring to play if you do the same thing over and over.

It sure seems like it does, I honestly thought when I first saw this game it seemed boring when I saw this. I gave the first Euro Truck Simulator a try and loved it. This game soul purpose is meant for people who want to kill the time that’s worth it and love driving.

American Truck Simulator

American Truck Simulator is another production from the great SCS Software studio. Considering how they care for their players in Euro Truck Simulator 2, it couldn’t be otherwise! The creators once again prove that the games they create are complete products and the support does not end when the game / add-on is paid for, but all the time! Soon there should be an update of the state of California, the original state that appeared with the game’s premiere over 5 years ago and is still being improved and adapted to current standards both visually and technically.

American Truck Simulator (ATS) is the new title of the simulation created by SCS Software, which makes us live an adventure with our truck all around breath-taking landscapes and well-known places in USA. While you are travelling you will see the most famous architecture, for example The Golden Gate in San Francisco or the famous casino or hotel in Las Vegas. ATS is expanding more and more and this shows how SCS Software cares about making its product dynamic. We will play the part of a truck driver and we will travel on roads and highways with different sceneries in the background, such as desert, little populated areas or very busy metropolis. The unpublished system of event available for everybody and everywhere, thanks to the various upgrade, makes our adventure more interesting. It randomly creates accidents, parked cars and construction by the roadside or in the highway, reducing available lanes and blocking in cars, including out truck. Be careful when you are travelling because the police are always around the corner! Moreover, the fine collection system has become stricter than it was in the past, both because of the increase of the amount of money you have to pay if you exceed speed limitations, if you go right through red lights or if you cause accidents, and above all because patrol cars, which could normally drive through traffic or be hidden behind buildings or billboards, can give you a ticket at any stage; this makes the player pay attention to speed limitations, which vary according to each state. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8QocRQKJMk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NfkIrItLtI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCJkbGj7des ATS natively supports mods and communities, considering that the game engine is the same as Euro Truck Simulator 2 (ETS 2) and this has made many changes be able to replace the lack of official trucks and has made the game more realistic and longer-living. In ATS you will also find a managerial section in which you can purchase your truck (getting into debts with a bank, if it is necessary), customizing it according to your tastes and you can also choose among a list of several interesting jobs dedicated to those who have decided to freelance. You can also hire drivers, purchase other trucks and create a big machine which can make you earn a lot of money. At this stage you could also purchase warehouses and expand your business in other cities. Moreover, your driver can increase his level and get experience scores which you could use in different sectors, such as fragile or luxury goods, trafficking length, special transports (e.g. explosive) and rush deliveries. This happens above all when you meet longer trailers than they were before, so that also a veteran of this saga needs some time to get used to the driving of these new means and to park them. Actually, it is possible to choose the difficulty of this latter: normal or expert. In the normal version the maneuvers which are necessary are on the same level of ETS 2, in the expert version it becomes more and more difficult because you are required to park your trailer in little areas and overcome obstacles. ATS is a title in which developers have focused more on quality than on quantity of contents. For those who have experienced ETS 2 this could be a negative point, however the realism takes advantage of it and shows places and situations which are always different. I suggest that both those who experienced its predecessor and those who are neophytes buy this game. I highly recommend this game! Bus Driver Simulator

Bus Driver Simulator

Out of all the bus simulators on Steam, this is arguably the one with the most realistic feeling to it. Much of what you’ll be driving are old, Soviet-era tanks with no power anything that moan and groan over dips in the road. Expect lacking acceleration and the barest hint of functional brakes, which only becomes more pronounced with winter mode enabled. Turning radii are laughably bad, you’ll spend lots of time hopping curbs at first. The AI controlling other traffic is a mix of sensible and terrifying, with cars occasionally lane changing into you for no reason and the odd guy driving the wrong way. Accidents entirely caused by the AI are unusual now but they still happen, which adds a bit of a time limit factor if you hope to complete your route correctly. Passenger models are quite good with displaying individual character, just don’t be surprised to see clones when driving the larger buses. One thing you’ll not see anywhere else in a driving game are pedestrians using crosswalks and occasionally jaywalking…hard to spot sometimes and crunching them comes with a stiff penalty.

At its current state, the game is alright. Beside some stuff you may consider buying it, but it’s better to wait more and see if there will be any improvement.

Pros:

Great map, i hope the German one is as good as the Russian one.

Physics are great, you may even face sliding if you pull the handbrake or understeering if you steer way too quickly.

Graphics are great and it is good seeing that they improved a lot with the updates.

Cons:

There are some major problems that are not supposed to be in there because it is a simulator after all.

No inertia management (the main interest for a train sim). When you put the power to 0, the train stop instantly. So… useless.

Train Life: A Railway Simulator

Train Life: A Railway Simulator

Train games are not exactly a highly competitive market so most are downright garbage. Train Life is not one of my favorites for good reason. A couple of the games I prefer are as follows with the first being a bit complicated to learn as it’s Korean and you need to make notes about what certain things are and how to do things. The second is designed for multiplayer, but, I and many others play solo. The first is Hmmsim Metro. The second is RAILROADS Online! Check those for better games.

A large update came out. I have made a couple deliveries in Germany so far and glitches have been much better. Animals don’t have faces glues to tracks. I’ll keep editing this as I play more and if it deserves it will change to voting up.

Real player with 139.0 hrs in game

OK OK… First of all let me say I rated this title as “recommend” only because I think it has huge potential and, let’s face it… if $15 bucks is a deal breaker you’re in the wrong hobby. I usually don’t pay for something I haven’t gotten (my lesson was paying a landscaper for a whole job he was to do on a Friday and by Monday morning I discovered that he closed his doors and skipped town with my money) but I’m gonna make an exception in this case. For two reasons… first - It’s worth the $15 as is! Second - it allows the devs to buy groceries on their way home tonight and not starve before they finish the game.

DON’T MISS SUEZ CANAL SIMULATOR.. AVAILABLE NOW ON STEAM CLICK HERE

Live your dream of traveling thru the Panama Canal! Pilot a ship from the Caribbean Sea to the Pacific Ocean and back. Take part in prototypical canal transits. A full 1:1 scale re-creation of the manmade waterway that changed the world, the Panama Canal.

A LITTLE HISTORY

Taking two countries over twenty-five years to build, the Panama Canal was the project they said couldn’t be built. They said man and machine lacked the ability to cut thru mountains and the Continental Divide. They could only be right for so long. Begun by the French under the leadership of Ferdinand de Lesseps after his completion of the Suez Canal, and completed by the United States, the Panama Canal opened for passage on August 3, 1914 and significantly cut travel time by sea between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and cut out the extremely hazardous journey around Cape Horn. Requiring the removal of 200,000,000 cubic yards of dirt, rock, and mud, and costing thousands of lives due to accidents and disease, the Panama Canal is one of mankind’s most important engineering accomplishments.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Start just outside the canal and follow the buoys and range lights into the canal, or take the long approach from 100 miles out and spend some time at sea as you look for land and lights. Choose your time of day. Transit the canal at night using nothing but the lights. Accelerate time or immerse yourself in a real-time simulation of an overnight canal transit and hours at open sea.

Drive legendary ocean liners, cruise ships, or Panamamax container ships. Meet ships along the way and take care to avoid collisions. Autotrack guides your ship as you control the engines and path. Watch for traffic and signals in the canal or watch the sun rise and set over the Caribbean and the Pacific. With buttery-smooth physics, rich vivid graphics, and ultra-realistic atmosphere and lighting, Panama Canal will set the standard for PC simulator games for years to come.

WITH SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

Simple and fun enough for kids and accurate and thorough enough for professional training, Panama Canal offers something for everyone! Hardcore simulator fans will revel in the advanced propulsion model, video game novices will appreciate the easy-to-use menus and controls that make playing super easy! Start the simulation and your ship is underway. Increase speed with the ‘D’ key. Slow by cutting your power with the ‘A’ key, and toggle your ship’s anchor with the ‘Back’ key to stop. Press F5 to toggle the HUD, F6 to show landmarks, and F7 to show other vessel traffic. Sound your ship’s horn with the ‘Space’ key and change views with keys 1 thru 6. It’s as simple as that. The ship is on a track and the water is holographic.. there’s no chance you’ll get lost and there’s no chance of seasickness.
