WRC 8 FIA World Rally Championship

WRC 8 FIA World Rally Championship

When I first bought this game I thought it was horrible and didn’t play it for months. Few weeks ago I started going thru each setting, literally one click at a time till I found a combination that works really well with a DD2, R300 Podium Wheel and Heusinkveld Pedals. According to Steam I’ve played DR2 over 1800 hours, and have to say after getting my wheelbase configured properly I have no plans on going back anytime soon.

I really like the way the handling changes when you crash the vehicle, the way the dust clouds the front window. I don’t have any complaints about the FFB, at times I can even feel the large round circles in the road. Not all, but I do feel some of them. Rally’s in Turkey, Chile and Argentina are a blast.

Absolutely a waste of a dollar, There’s no rhythm whatsoever, and every level shares the same song. You can tell how the levels look, and are, just by looking at the menu screen, and I’m not saying they’re good either, I guess they do their job, but nothing is special about them, the dev just wants you to play this for as long as possible, hence the multiple levels. This game is obviously a cash grab, and it’s upsetting. Don’t buy this.

For being an expanded port of “just” a mobile game, this one’s great.

My only two complaints are irregular, but severe crashes and the fact that the campaign is rather short.

Though, regarding the latter, Score-Hunters will still have plenty of fun with the arcade mode.

This is a really fun game. It has striking character design, engaging gameplay, and a funky soundtrack. The story and dialogue can be goofy but that’s not a bug, it’s a feature.

Incidentally, I have not encountered any bugs.

Do you like a challenge? A race game? What about a race against time? Well when you buy this game I assure you that you will inevitably fall or harm the driver; but with great sacrifice comes… (add inspiring stuff here). Back to the point: It’s a challenging game but enjoyable nevertheless. The new update added new “karts” to play around with also bug fixes! Hurrah!

I also really like the aspect of having millions of tracks to try; a new game always has a fresh taste.

So overall its a fun game, reccomended.

good game drive a subway on subway routes should be some more fetures thro like do the route but in reverse have a steam workshop were users could create there own routes and share it

No inertia management (the main interest for a train sim). When you put the power to 0, the train stop instantly. So… useless.

This game was about worth what I paid for it: 59 cents on sale. It’s structured like any traditional speedgame, but bears some incredible flaws. Not being able to bind reset to a keybind is annoying, not being able to view replays is infuriating when trying to compete for leaderboard positions, not being able to buffer more than one input when starting a level is asinine, and the general gameplay loop becomes stale very quickly. One of this game’s three whole unique obstacles is a spinning saw with four spokes, of which will keep spinning before the level starts. This breaks the ideal deterministic principle I enjoy from other speedgames: by choosing when to start you can effectively change the level at your whim. Another detriment to the game is that the level design is uninspired and boring. Multiple levels in the game are repeats of previous levels with slightly more obstacles added, which becomes repetitive quite quickly, and even many of the unique levels (especially later on) were just a slog. If you’ve got an hour or two to kill and you enjoy grinding speedgames, give it a whirl if you so choose, but otherwise, trust that you’re not missing out on much by not playing.

Quite fun and challenging game for the price, i’ve completed it in about 30 minutes. I didn’t found any bug that would affect my gameplay.

California Games II

California Games II

The original California Games – first released in 1987 – is considered by many to be one of the best games from the late 8-bit era. Whether it was the original release on the Commodore 64, the slightly-cut-down version that came with the Atari Lynx, or a port from any one of around a dozen other platforms, the unique sun-drenched sports tend to conjure up fond memories from all who played them.

It was inevitable that such a highly-regarded game would be afforded a sequel, and Developer Epyx did not disappoint. By the time the game came out in 1990, 16-bit home computers had become commonplace, meaning that the Amiga, Atari ST and SNES were among the launch platforms.

Now available officially on Steam for the first time, you too can enjoy the five radical and awesome events:

  • Hang-gliding

  • Jet-skiing

  • Snowboarding

  • Bodyboarding

  • Skateboarding

Just like the first game of the series, California Games II is easy to play but hard to master, with plenty of playground arguments about which event was the best.

So get ready to soar like a boss, dust some ice and kick some sweet ollies with this radical and bodacious sequel to one of the most popular games of all time!

From the original manual

_Yo! Dudes and dudettes!

Welcome back to California – land of Fun and Games! Get ready for the ultimate sequel: California Games II. It’s time for “fun in the sun” as you play five totally new events.

First, you’ll try Hang Gliding at San Francisco’s Fort Funston, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, where the most daring hang gliders “hang out”. Next, you’ll take a helicopter ride to the top of Mt. Epyx for a wildly out-of-control Snowboarding run… all the way back down to the beach. Then you’ll take your surfjet out into Monterey Bay for the Santa Cruz Jet Surfing Competition. After that, you’ll compete in the Santa Cruz Bodyboarding Invitational. Finally, you’ll face the challenge of outlaw Skateboarding down the most aggro-cultural California Aqueduct.

Objectives

California Games II is a game for one to eight players. The object of the game is to score well in every event. Points are awarded for each event based upon your ranking among the other competitors. The player with the most points at the end of a competition earns the title of Supreme Dude. Practice to improve your skills in each event, compete with your family and friends, and soon you’ll be the Supreme Dude.

In competition if you break the record for an event, California Games II records your name and the new high score on the Most Excellent Dudes screen._

Very arcade-y, you control a vehicle through the maze-like stages to pick up and deliver different color people to the respective color stops. Pretty fun to coordinate the best route to maximize score. Sometimes you need to get vehicle power ups to cross water, break rocks and put out fires in your path. 25 levels and can be tricky to 3-star some. I got it on sale for like two bucks but I’d say it’s worth full if you like arcade style score chasers.

So, it’s the first game of a small studio called Nadan. Considering it’s their first game it’s quite good. The artistic environment of the game is really cool. It has an aesthetic vibe.

The controls are good. I’ll admit the gameplay is not the best indie gameplay of all time but it’s okay. What I love the most about this game is their soundtracks. Each race track has a different soundtrack that really goes with the vibe of the environment.

The game has single player, online multiplayer and a split screen local multiplayer. And I really had a good time playing the split screen multiplayer with my little brother. These indie games are really good when you have someone to play with. Also, this game has more than 50 maps which is crazy!
