A GP500 for the 2020s? (an Assetto Corsa for 2 wheels?) (Finally? ) (Bloody, freakin' Finally?) I HOPE SO!

Please give it you very best shot MadCow s.r.l. ! I, for one would be, eternally grateful if you can deliver on this.

I have been playing this game for the last year and a half as a long time alpha tester. I saw the astonishing evolution of the game in the last few months and I know well its potential as a bike simulator which reproduces the physics of a two-wheeler while remaining well enjoyable through a game pad.

Even if they are a small team, I saw the commitment of developers and their politics of development based on users' feedback. I can only imagine how good the game will be in a few months with the contribution of the community.

Bike Baron 2

Bike Baron 2

Bike Baron 2 is a brand new motorbike racer that has been in development for the last 18 months, and it has reached a state where we would like to invite you to try the game out before anyone else, and provide your thoughts on the gameplay.

We are only accepting a handful of people at first to be able to keep the conversations about the game direct and personal on the Steam forums. You should have a computer with an NVIDIA or AMD graphics card from the last 5 years, and run Windows 10. We don’t want to focus on compatibility issues very much just yet, so anyone with an integrated GPU, such as Intel HD, will have to wait until a little closer to release.

all in all currently played 2 hours, had a bunch of fun.

I’m hoping for some lag fixes and keybind editing possibilities

Edit : since this comment , a bunch of stuff has been fixed : keyboard layout is now something you can change inthe settings, the lag has been fixed, loading times have been optimized, camera controls have been fixed (for working on the bikes, paint booth still is wonky)

disregard those in the cons !

Update: Feb 2021

Since the developers did a major revamp including a gazillion customised parts and colours I find playing the game tedious. No longer am I able to simply take parts off and on, paint them or build my own bike I find it extremely annoying having to memorise part numbers and colours. When I use to blaze through a repair now its a head beating against the wall experience that has ruined the fun for me. I did have fun with it initially but now I rarely play it.

I really enjoyed this game especially since I got rid of my own bike last year. This game is setup very similarly to other mechanic simulator games like CMS. Problematic parts are shown in red when it diagnostic mode and show as rusty in the regular view. Camera angles are pretty good. There are a few instances where you’ll select a part to re-assemble and the camera thrusts your viewpoint forward, past the area you are working in requiring a slight zoom-out or downward pan.

SHAME ON YOU AGAIN!

100% Achivements only if you also buy the DLCs….This is madnes. I am so dissapointed.

You really can go suck a **** milestone. Why charge the full price if I have to take double the money to COMPLETE the game? How retarded is this?

This, and only this, is the reason for this.

You suck.

Ai players, unrewarding physics, poorly thought out events and double price DLC on steam make this a hard pass.

Wheelie King VR

Great and currently unique concept, though still a bit buggy. My biggest issue is with the frame rate though, as I personally got a bit motion sick with this.

Definitely worth it even at the current state, but with a bit more polishing will become that much more enjoyable.

RiMS Racing

RiMS Racing

This game makes Ride4 look like Roblox without the fun.

I’ve only played through the different bikes on a trackday type session, and I’m already astonished. The sensation of being on a real, overwhelmingly fast machine is second to none. Not even the best car simulation matches the sensation of speed of Rims.

First of all, I assume that the people reading this review will want a serious simulation, and will be playing in one of the ‘cockpit’ cam modes. Its not an arcade racer, be warned.

Why is it so good? Well, for a start the bikes have a heft to them that makes them feel like real, weighty machines, not the lightweight nonsense of Ride4. The steering feels grippy and correct, but is genuinely terrifying when you drop it to a steep angle on a sharp turn. It was actually shocking when I pushed it over hard on a chicane - the change of your weight from side to side felt real to me, so much so that I was disorientated for a moment. No other bike game has achieved that sense of immersion. You can really get in the flow.

RiMS Racing is a game unlike any other motorcycle title we have been given in past few years. It has features that make it unique. Thats why it is hard to compare it to Milestone games, GP Bikes or TDR. One of the main focus was set to attention to bike details and mechanics, with possibility to manually mount and dismount parts, allowing to upgrade and customise your ride. Additionaly each part can be damaged or used up, what requires to buy new stuff and replace the old ones to keep the motorbike in top condition.

Super Night Riders

Super Night Riders

My first reaction to this game was: this game can only be valuable for nostalgia/historical factor, and I can’t honestly recommend it to anyone else. But then I played it a little more, and it got me thinking.

This game faithfully recreates the gameplay of 80s arcade racers with all the important details, but with more modern visuals. The visuals are not mind blowing, but they look pleasant and are not dull.

The gameplay doesn’t have a lot of variety, unfortunately, even compared to the 80s racers. There’s only one vehicle you can choose, one type of “enemies”, no unexpected nasties like an oil spill and such, and the track variety is pretty much limited to the visual theme. The tracks are handcrafted though and are nicely tuned in terms of the difficulty curve and the challenge.

Super Night Raiders is my first racing game that I’ve managed to finish. Actually, it isn’t exactly a racing game - you aren’t trying to be the 1st but complete laps under a given time, depending on the difficulty setting you choose. While you are driving you are encountering other freeway bikers which are supposed to be obstacles that you aren’t supposed to hit - if you hit them you get a massive speed penalty which can ruin your run. One or two mistakes is actually ok, but if you do more than that you probably won’t make it on the normal mode. Easy mode is exactly the same, except that it grants you more time to finish each lap so you are allowed to make more mistakes, but you don’t get achievements.
