Unforgettable You

Unforgettable You

A delightful free game with 20 chapters to play. The story of a man meeting the love of his life done in a beautiful silhouette style reminiscent of Amphora.

A warning for those people who are not very dexterous. There are platform elements in this game, some requiring precision and others speed. Hence my lengthy time!!

Each chapter has a different environment and they are just gorgeous. Some are darker than others. There are 3 hearts to find in each chapter and they are very easy to find. Some are more difficult to get to than others.

What a beautiful game! The visuals and soundtrack is stunning (I need the soundtrack in my life haha!) each one completely fitting the mood of each level!

I suck at platformers so it took me a little longer then it would maybe take others, but it’s definitely worth a play!

The story really represents the ups and downs and the different emotions experienced through a relationship with someone, since the very first moment they met them.

Dark and Bright

Dark and Bright

In Dark and Bright you play Gourchweasel and his friends and you help them to find out more about that weird world they’re travelling through. The game combines some RPG elements with arcade or puzzle elements, but all in all it is a story-driven game with a focus on what’s happening to the four friends in that abstract world.

And that’s what I like about the game the most - the story is good! Really. I enjoyed it a lot, also a lot more than in some other, bigger and well-known RPGs. The game does a great job in telling the player the right amount of information (or only vague hints in the beginning) so that I was always interested in how the story continues. It all starts with a mysterious cutscene about two unknown characters at a bonfire - then we’re following Grouchweasel on his journey. And that journey is weird, confusing, but interesting and also thrilling at the same time. There are many things that made me enjoy it so much - things happening again with small changes to the dialogues, the memories becoming more and more intense as you progress, mysterious characters who sometimes totally confuse you, the whole tone to everything with these simple but weird graphics which fit well to the overall atmosphere. I can’t write more about that without spoilers. Maybe this story will also make you think a little bit about your own life, which I find amazing. So, if you’re a fan of good stories in RPGs - this might be the right game for you!

This is a good game, I enjoy it very much! This game has just a tone to it that makes it feel intense in a way, like you’re playing something funny and weird in the beginning, but you’re well advised to prepare for something big to come. I was thrilled to experience there actually seems to be a deeper meaning behind many of the things that happen. So, after revealing the first memories in the game, I was totally into the story and I’m excited for the outcome of everything, and the fates of the lovely written characters. Totally recommend!

Moncage

Moncage

Great visual puzzles.

And not only visual.

Admirably crafted, Moncage really makes you think inside the box, and is challenging enough that I had to take a couple of breaks to figure out solutions.

Some reviewers might confuse you by claiming, in the same sentence, that the game is too short and that they used the hint system.

Unsurprisingly, if you solve all puzzles by yourself, i.e., if you play the game, the playing time doubles.

The only missing feature is a post-game chapter selector.

It would let us hunt for our missed secrets without the need to replay the entire game.

Masterfully crafted puzzle game that takes place on five sides of a cube as you piece together the story through interconnecting scenes. Moncage is a relaxing perspective-based puzzle game with pleasant visuals, touching story told without words, and relaxing soundtrack. There is an alternate ending that requires players to find all hidden photos and replay the story a second time while keeping an eye out for ways “to think outside the cube”. About 2 to 5 hours to complete depending on how often you use the hint system or unlocking achievements. A must try for puzzle enthusiast [10/10]

Back Then

Back Then

Back Then is a yet unseen take in the videogame industry about an elderly poet diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease, dealing not only with how our elders and their families change and learn to adapt to this newfound unavoidable and inevitable loss of memory and identity, but also show players that there is more to these situations than simple forgetfulness as we age.

Thomas Eilian is an elderly poet and writer diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Bound to only move around in a wheelchair, he finds himself alone for what seems like years roaming an empty house. “The clock is ticking, the hours are going by. The past increases, the future recedes. Possibilities decreasing, regrets mounting.”

  • In-depth narrative and storytelling experience.

  • Creative gameplay mechanics related to Alzheimer’s and forgetfulness, where the character starts to remember (and forget) his past and present.

  • Inspired by real events and stories of people with Alzheimer’s and neurodegenerative diseases, told by family members and loved ones.

  • Focus on interactivity, grab, interact with everything and learn as much as possible.

  • Scientific breakdown via collectibles about Alzheimer’s.

This is a story about Time, Death, and Soul. It is a story about the mind, from the mind. It is a story about ignorance and forgetfulness.

Through this story we hope to make as many people as we can uncomfortable, but aware to the reality of millions.

STORY

The world has ended and you just died.

Well, your body died.

You managed to upload yourself into The Ark, you’ve built to survive the event.

It will soon turn out, it was a pretty bad idea.

But for now… you awake as a dot.

PUZZLES. WHAT THEY’RE MADE OF?

1. Wrap the dimensions

You live in many spatial dimensions. Use this to your advantage.

2. Impossible connections

Because connections are just the product of your mind.

2. Portals. They break gravity

They can also break your brain. Just kidding, the game is fun, not hard.

3. 4. 5. 6… n

Multi-dimensional boxes, guns, bombs, Amelia, doors, keys, more perspective, etc.

#### ON GAME

I remember the Light is a story driven puzzle game, that explores the idea of living in different spatial dimensions, that wrap on each other.

It came from my fascination of imagining what it’s like to live inside the tesseract.

The game is still in mid-early development stage. As a solo dev I have a lot of things on my hands. But I manage :)

Marginal act

Marginal act

So I’ve played this game for about 3 hours and I personally love it. It’s visually wonderful with the dadaism style of art and the funky use of perspective. The art really fits in with the idea of a slowly collapsing society. I spent a good 5 minutes just appreciating the map and all the detail put in. I loved the look of the NPCs and all the textures, too. The sound design gave off a nice creepy vibe and I loved the wide variety of sound effects. The controls felt good and I’m very appreciative of the use of colliders on the obstacles. I was worried that because of the perspective, I would be hit by enemies/obstacles even if I wasn’t really touching them but it was actually really easy and fun to maneuver through. The game is pretty solid when it comes to not having glitches/ places where you easily could get physically stuck which was nice.

Real player with 3.4 hrs in game

If you have to describe a game, and you cannot find terms or similarities to help you with, sometime can be a really positive thing. Because it means originality. So, in this moment I really find complicated to described Marginal Act, it is a game so hermetic, strange and peculiar that without playing it could be difficult to understand.

The plot is also obscure and surreal, intriguing but difficult to figure it out. Also, a superficial english translation will not help to understand it. But this will not affect the progress or the enjoyment of the game. There are also multiple endings.
