i mean its not intended to be a game that you play over anything what so ever else :P this game is meant to be a easy demand on hardware background auto go and pop in during load times or ques inside other games and for that it is indeed nice once you get so far it became the typical mobile rpg esk game could even compaire to afk arena outside hero collecting dailies to get stonger and having everything time gated so you cant progress. the comments for this game say its bad because its p2w but not any worse than any other mobile game really :/ you can deff play f2p just wont have shiny mounts but power you gain from mounts will match with enogh days logged into the game same with all other machanics of the game it seems. i feel like most of the rage in the ratings for the game are caused because of the players having expectations for the game to be a diffrent kind of game lol like they thought it would be a actual mmorpg and its not its a mobile mmo and for what it is not bad just pull up ff14 or what ever your poison is and set this game to auto run itself before long you will be onto the dailies stuff :) worth a look at if nothing else :)

Note: This game is still in development, and any features listed here are subject to change by time of release.

Features

  • Dragon Riding - Fly freely through the skies atop your dragon’s back, with your spell-casting gun in one hand, and your steerpathic wand in the other. Note: This game uses extreme locomotion for flight. You have full control to perform aerial maneuvers such as intense dives, back flips, and barrel rolls. The feeling is akin to riding a roller coaster. Highly advanced features for combating VR sickness have been implemented, but it will be up to you to fly your dragon smoothly.

Elmarion: Dragon time

Edited review.

I wish I could recommend this game. You can only like or dislike when I am actually sitting at meh with this game. Elmarion: Dragon Time is early access and the Dev(s), Fleon Games, have made 3 games in 2 years. Elmarion: Dragon Time is still in Early Access, but doesn’t seem to be updated or any signs of updates. (WIll change if that changes.) A finished product, but not a polished one. You do get to play as a dragon, but that is the only appeal.

Cons

*No Feedback from dev(s) on this Early Access title.

Review is actually from 27th April 2020. Since last playing and writing this review, the developer has made various updates that I’ve yet to try out. These include items to equip your dragon with, more music/tracks, new dungeons, secret areas and traps, a new dragon to play as, and a whole load of bug fixes, balancing, and general improvements. I’ll update my review once I get around to playing it again.

Elmarion: Dragon Time tries to achieve something I’ve been wanting to see for a long time now, that I’ve not seen done successfully in any other game. A game where you’re the dragon, soaring through the sky, causing death and destruction throughout the realm, or whatever you want really, you’re a dragon after all! Elmarion seems to do it relatively well, but there is still a lot of work to be done for that great experience! Elmarion is in the early stages of Early Access at the time of writing this, and from what I can tell, it’s a one man project, so from that point of view the game is very impressive!

When introducing new players to VR, especially those who don’t really game at all, I tended to not realize how difficult most games are from the viewpoint of new users.

This game is perfect for that. I’m writing this review after letting my 4 year old play the new “free play” mode. She could barely hold the wand or wear the HMD, but she still had a blast.

There’s not much to the game, but that’s perfect for what it is.

Plus the dragons are undeniably cute.

This game is great for young kids. By that I mean my 6 yo daughter.

As an adult, it kept me entertained for about 10 minutes.

The controls took only a few minutes to work out, and there’s not too much motion, nor too much text on menus, which has encouraged her to read the menu herself.

Whilst the content is light on, she really seems to enjoy it. I put this down the the way the dragons are interactive and respond to her actions. This supports the way she has imaginative play with her stuffed toys.

Gedonia

Gedonia

For one, the developer really cares about this game and it’s still being updated. Two, currently it’s on sale and it’s definitely worth more than what it is, even normal price. If you want a fresh Indie RPG with a nostalgic feeling, character customization, and open world; this it it. Will update my review in the future.

::Update::

Still playing and it’s amazing. Finally got to building my house, it’s a bit quirky with the editing and camera controls, but it will only get better. I haven’t even touched Dungeon mode which has an increased level cap compared to Open World, so if you’re into Dungeon Crawlers; well this has a mode just for you.

Some people are be nostalgic for the 8 and 16 bit era, and there are a ton of Metroidvania and platforming games shoveled onto PC and propped up by paid reviews. Gedonia is something else, and it made me so happy. Rather than the more common rip on the Genesis, Gedonia is like a lost gem from the original X-Box era, in the realms of Galleon or Kameo. There are a lot of simplified, modern touches, but the purity of the game and fantasy genre is endearing. It’s like finding out there was a 3D Zelda game you missed, gameplay wise.

pretty cool start for a game. basic mechanics are there and work pretty well. has some innovative locomotion options. there’s a few modes to test out right now, they are all pretty easy, but you can tell it doesn’t take much to make riding a dragon awesome. I’m not sure how much, i’ll be playing it but im glad I tried it out. playing on a rift.

I prefer interesting mechanics to graphics and this game is like a playground of interesting VR mechanics. For example, there are multiple types of locomotion that I’ve never seen implemented in other VR games (hamster ball, throwing a hammer, riding a dragon with reigns). I applaud the creativity and bravery to explore untried things in VR than to make tried and true things. This reminds me of the VR scene from the Oculus DK1 days when devs would make interesting things just to make interesting things. I miss those days. I’ll gladly support experimental things like this over the “safe” stuff any day.

Rynn is super duper cute!

This is a cool 1v1 mage dueling game.

You select the type of elemental mage you want to be, each having similar base spells, but different ultimates. For example, who wouldn’t want to toss giant boulders at the enemy as the earth mage?

The different play modes include PvP, against AI mages, a training ground, or a boss mode.

You weave spells in the air using the controller and dodge around the enemy’s spells by moving out of the way, but be aware that a smart bounce off the wall might take you without you expecting it. The first one to get three hits in wins the round.

This game is awesome! I,ve been looking forward to this game and got it when it came out. I think having a deflect spell would be nice, but it would have to cost more mana then the shield. Also for a single player, I was thinking of kind of like where you go to a place like hogwarts, and the farther you get, the more spells you can learn, and you can customize your spell loadout. Also whenever you battle an enemy, you can do that 3D pong type battle, or try new things too.

Rain of Arrows

Rain of Arrows

Good game , the arrow physics are top notch, graphics entertaining, and pacing is just about right for this kind of game. BUT, I would love it if you got rid of the obscuring flames on the end of the arrow, at least when you turn off player aim assist. Can’t see the target at all which makes it very hard to hit it. The one thing I like the most about bow and arrow games is judging the trajectory to hit the target, never want aim assist. The mechanic for bringing up the shield and paddle is inspired I think. Very quick and intuitive. Thanks for the fun.

You can view my initial impressions review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/TMVurUVIKGE

This is a stand-still 360 archery wave shooter / “bullet or arrow hell” rogue-lite that is quasi on-rails. What I mean by that is that you’re basically on a raft that goes forward without your input in the water. However, you can paddle side to side to avoid obstacles. Meanwhile, you can dodge side to side to avoid enemy projectiles and you can even use a shield to protect you against some types of damage. I believe you have 3 deaths and you can get upgrades after beating a boss.
