Demon heart

Demon heart

The Demon Rush: Legends Corrupt

The Demon Rush: Legends Corrupt

The Demon Rush: Legends Corrupt is an action RPG with fast-paced combat requiring use of strong offensive and defensive mechanics across multiple modes (Story Mode, Endless Dungeon, Onslaught, Conquest, Heist). Fight your enemies up close, use buffs/debuffs/status ailments to gain an advantage or place effects like tornados, fire, water, death forests, black holes and more onto the battlefield.

The Mittu star system enjoyed a long period of prosperity, and was watched over by three powerful beings who shared their unique skillsets and technologies across three worlds for millenia. From out of nowhere, a Demon Army of immense power appeared suddenly and began invading these planets, slaughtering countless innocents and causing fear and paranoia in the godlike rulers of each world. On the planet of Altair, the first spacecraft in Mittu’s history has been constructed, with the hopes that its crew can find something in the Mittu star system to end the war against the Demon Army.

Cute visual novel. Though some of the back story is not… Anyway, decent read. There are choices, but they don’t seem to matter much. Might suggest getting on discount.

Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection

Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection

Played this a lot on the Switch, and am gladly going to play it even more on PC. If you have a high tolerance for frustration and can laugh at both your own stupid mistakes and some downright mean BS the game will throw your way (mostly difficulty, but some cheap traps as well), I believe you’ll have an absolute blast playing this. It’s quite a rollercoaster of intense excitement, intense frustration and intense satisfaction.

The GnG series was always quite unique due to how well it evoked a feeling of fumbling or panic with its design and mechanics. No matter how well you know a level and how good of a plan you have, things always go very wrong very quickly, and you will be forced to quickly make some hard decisions or die. This aspect of the games was always the main source of excitement, satisfaction and humor. GnG Resurrection doubles down on this exact element and ramps it up more than any previous game in the series.

Ghosts ‘n Goblins is back and it’s harder than ever! Having played four games in this series I was convinced that I was more-than-ready to tackle its hardest difficulty (Legend) for my first playthrough, oh how wrong I was. Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection (GnGR) is best described as a remake+. It borrows heavily from the gameplay, enemies, levels, music, and more from the first two games but also contains new content that fits in with what the original games established. GnGR features four returning stages that are significantly longer and play completely differently as well as three brand new stages.

Mystika 3 : Awakening of the dragons

Mystika 3 : Awakening of the dragons

I can’t say if I recommend Mystika 3 : Awakening of the dragons or not.

I just wanted to say that I ’ve been misled by the tag “Hidden Object” and I want to warn those who could do the same mistake. Mystika 3 : Awakening of the dragons is a somewhat scenarized Match 3 game, not an H.O.G. There are like 3 or 4 Hidden Objects Scenes for 200 Match3 levels ! Probably a good game for those who like that kind of game.. But not for me !

Really nice game, here.

It’s 200 levels (that includes “boss levels”) which are mainly match 3 oriented. Tha match 3 type it the “moving a tile to align 3 or more” type.

The levels get more and more difficult as you progress through the map.

There’s a timed gameplay as well as a non-timed one (never played this one, though, so I can’t really comment).

Back on the match 3 gameplay, the levels are not really complexe by themselves, especially since there are ingame bonusses that are either triggered by action (align 4 or 5), or that appear randomly (or so it seems to me) once the appropriate option has been bought. Each level will earn the player some money (gold ?) with which some upgrades can indeed be bought. Some are dedicated to earning more gold, others for ingame (including the “dig statue” and the “open the cage” dedicated bonus and last for the “boss” screens (fight).

This game is similar to Mystika 3 but not the same. It is more like a game update or enhancement and has different spells than the 3rd installment. I enjoyed both games and highly recommend Mystika 4: Dark Omens.

Need a packet?

Need a packet?

There’s a large chance that this game simply fits within my own niche of interests extremely well. I really do like this project a lot for what it is! an experience, and art. The cash registry is really fun too once you get in a rhythm. I think it does a good job of displaying a descent from what I’ve seen, though while the atmosphere is dreary and holds an important message about antipollution, but it doesn’t exactly feel heavy y’know. Very close though! And I love all the surrealist energy!

Personally my biggest gripe with the game is simply the easy mode. I understand the, feeling that was being gone for with it. But ultimately, having it in a way where it’s a completely different experiences and eliminating a core gameplay mechanic, (the bullet hell), it just feels like whoever needs, or simply just wants to play the easier mode, is being excluded y’know ? Personally I’d suggest a way to opt in and out of these things but, that’s just one solution.

I purchased Need a Packet because I watched Markiplier try it out a while ago, and he had a very negative reaction to it at the time, but the visuals were so compelling that I had to come and try it out myself. And I’m glad that I did! I haven’t finished the game yet, but so far Need a Packet is a challenging game, with great artwork and music, and a compelling story! The mechanics are interesting too, switching between you being a cashier and giving packets to people, and defending the transport you take to work against giant demons and the like, it all getting progressively more difficult as the game goes on.

SACRALITH : The Archer’s Tale

SACRALITH : The Archer’s Tale

I absolutely love this game! In fact, it would be my all-time favorite VR game if it weren’t for a few issues. The content is very replayable, because you will kill at least 150+ enemies by the end of each map! There is no new game +, unfortunately, but TRUST me, you will not care so much about all the little flaws due to the addiction you will develop when you shoot several enemies in the head or helmet at 100 yards!

  • This game has really amazing graphics, but I feel as though the content is a little lacking (due to the lack of maintenance). New enemies could be introduced, more special arrow selections, co-op, upgraded bows, etc.

Pretty impressed with this game, given it was barely on my radar before release. It needs a few things worked out in patches, but if the problems listed below get addressed, this will be the most engaging VR archery game yet.

Pros:

  • Great graphics, body physics (really fun shooting guys off of a log bridge and watching them fly off.)

  • Smooth gameplay (at least in-game , which is where it counts)

  • Good gameplay mechanics - teleporting to strategic vantage points to protect various offensive fronts
