Fidel Dungeon Rescue
Fidel Dungeon Rescue is to puzzle games what Spelunky is to platformers. (To clarify, this is a very high compliment, as Spelunky is probably my favourite video game of all time.)
Truthfully though, both games really do share some familiar elements and design decisions. In this game, you play a cute little dog having to rescue Grandma from a dungeon filled with all sorts of baddies. You navigate through multiple, tile-based floors, killing enemies as you go, and leaving your leash trailing behind you, blocking you from ever stepping on the same tile twice. Where the similarities to Spelunky begin are in familiar enemy motifs such as spiders, snakes or flesh-eating plants. Further similiarity arises in a time-based ghost, the randomized rogue-lite nature of the game and the strategic, yet fast-paced gameplay that Fidel’s mechanics enable.

I like Fidel Dungeon Rescue a lot. I revisit it once in a while to complete the daily challenge or beat the main game. It never goes on too long and is always fun.
One of it’s strengths is definitely it’s great replayability. Since puzzles are randomly generated, two dungeons are never the same, and it has a real impact on the gameplay. Due to the various rules of each different tiles and creatures, a slight position offset may drastically change the best path to an exit. There’s also many possible solutions to most puzzles, so some thought is always required even with “obvious” situations.

Dog Trainer
It’s time to meet your new adorable puppy! An advanced generator lets you create the dog you always wanted. It’s breed, sex and hundreds of different characteristics are all customizable in order to make your pet one of a kind. But remember - you cannot cheat nature! Some breeds are naturally prone to an active lifestyle, while others just want to chill on a comfortable pillow with you all day, so choose wisely.
Now when you’ve created your new best friend, it’s time to learn how to take care of him! Feed him, give him baths and teach him how to behave, so his naughty side doesn’t take over your good boy! You’ll experience all the challenges of owning a dog, as he will need you by his side all the time! At the end of the day, don’t forget what is most important - you, your dog and the special bond you have. Nurture your relationship during every moment you spend together and have fun with your best friend for life!
Start with the basics, like “seat”, “lay down” or “give paw” and work your way to the advanced, almost acrobatic stunts. In order to reach perfection, you and your puppy have to learn how to be a team! Experiment with how and when to reward him or correct his behaviour, so he can learn efficiently while loving and respecting his trainer!
Everyone likes watching cute dogs in funny outfits, right? Well, now’s your chance to trump all the cool photos you’ve seen on the Internet! Choose from numerous items desired by every dog owner. From everyday stuff like collars, leashes, harnesses, and toys to hilarious or elegant costumes. Whether it’s a distinguished tux and top-hat or a spider-like Halloween outfit - your pup will have some style to show off!
Put your training skills to the test and take part in a bunch of competitions with your dog. Prove your pet’s obedience and extraordinary agility in a set of trail runs and guide him to becoming the champion! If your pup is more of a beauty queen, sign up for a beauty contest. Just as new trophies and medals will appear on your shelf, even more, difficult challenges will arise. Show everyone who’s the best trainer!

Puppy Cross
Played all the way through, got all the achievements, including the ones for the kitty dlc :D It’s very cute and a good picross style game– if you like those then you’ll like this, easy. My only thoughts are that it feels short, but that might honestly be because I’m pretty fast at these. A lot of my time “played” is from me pausing the game to tab away and do other stuff, lol. I hope they keep releasing dlc for it, the kitties were a cute touch! My fave is the catnip reaction. ;D Thanks!!

tl;dr:
Cute graphics, nice sound design & music, balanced difficulty, but lacks real customs levels (workshop ?), the dog playground has too few interactivity, and the levels are organised in a strange order.
More:
What I like: The colored nonogram are well designed. The dog theme fits well with the chill experience of nonograms.
What could be improved: dogs playground: the sound of the dogs are the same but with different tone. I would have prefered if they had unique barks.
What I didn’t like: It feels weird to see a 5x5 after completing a 20x20 after competing a world. I expected world 1 to be full of 5x5, world 2 10x10 etc … I don’t like the randomized nonograms, since there’s no image to discover.

Hack or Die!
Amazing game! Totally unique and innovative core gameplay mechanics, a huge accomplishment for a modern platformer. It fundamentally changes the nature of platforming.
I did in fact purchase the game with my own money, and It was money well spent. However, for the sake of honesty, I must note that I consulted for the developer, and I know the developer closely. At the same time, I have never been paid by the developer nor offered any form of compensation, so I’m no shill.
I’m a huge fan of this game, and I’d still be a huge fan even if I had no relation to this game. It is an absolutely incredible game, particular for fans of high skill platforming games (one of my favorite genres). Everything in this review represents my genuine beliefs.

This game!! Skill building levels with rewarding challenges and puzzles. I was surprised to learn there was so many different kicks and combinations. My skill and techniques grew as the game progressed. Dope music too.

Dig Dog
One of my absolute contenders to the game of the year in this 2018, and one of the most perfect arcade experiences that I have found in Steam since ‘Switch ‘N’ Shoot’.
Basically, ‘Dig Dog’ is ‘Spelunky’ at the speed of cocaine. It uses a procedural algorithm for the construction of a descendant layout that is as fine tuned and well balanced as in Derek Yu’s influential classic.
But in its main mechanic it looks to the sheer arcade intensity of drilling Japanese arcade games, feeling like a much more intense and less cerebral version of ‘Mr. Driller,’ that instead in the use of logic or puzzle elements, it relies in your ninja skills.

It is rare to find such simple mechanics, graphics and music done so well. This game is a love letter to games of yore that if released decades ago would be considered a classic. The controls are extremely responsive and tight making it so that each risky situation you get out of and each death you suffer feels completely responsible to your actions, and your actions alone.
The graphics while primarily black, white and two shades of a background color convey all the information you need to know about the game: White means its an entity of some sort, yellow means it harbors a coin, red means it harbors a heart. The only downside I have found when it comes to the mechanics being a bit of difficulty in figuring out exactly what the power-ups actually do, however with some quick experimentation it becomes clear.
