Cashtronauts
A compulsive twin stick asteroid-mining rogue-like set in procedurally generated space with a brilliant “risk” system where at the start of the game, you can choose to enable any or all of 10 different scenarios to make the game more difficult in return for a higher percentage of profit.
One risk makes your armour weak so only one hit can be taken. Another adds gold to some asteroids but also adds competition in the form of big mining ships.
The game eases you in gently, the 10 risks are unlocked as you play, letting you add more challenge as you get more confident.

TLDR: Twinstick instance based freelancer. Fun but beatable in one sitting. Needs patching but dev abandonned due to contract with a new studio. Limited content. Grindy.
This is a one small map containing a few central hotspots. A police station spawning police cars, a fuel and ammo station and a mining station to sell ore. You go out and find cash lying around, get ore, and kill pirates to sell bounty items at the police station. You die respawn and as you unlock more things the world gets more populated.

Tiktalec And The Dino Moonbase
Great game to play when you are looking for some time to kill or are just looking for something new. The story line is simple and easy to follow and there are a lot of easter eggs that exist that are a challenge to find. Really worth the money for a simple game.

Guardians of Orion (Phase 2)
I really did once support this game and its developers. It’s true, read my old Prelude review, it’s still positive. I was heavily invested in Trek Industries' first title, Orion Prelude, having unlocked 99% of its achievements. I was happy to see an expansion of the Orion universe away from the limits imposed by Prelude’s systems, and it’s always nice to see indie devs improve upon their vision of an ideal game.
The game itself is not bad, per se. It has a good foundation, easy-to-learn mechanics and addictive gameplay. I spent many long hours, almost 300, happy to play it, eager to explore the gradually developing content and new systems. The game has lofty ambitions, and that in itself is, again, not intrinsically bad. The way the developers went about implementing the change is where crap hits the proverbial fan:

Introduction: Guardians of Orion or also previously known as just “Orion” and also “The Orion project” is a pretty interesting and ambitious game which will probably include everything from PvP and PvE to space and planet exploration in the form of individual modules. As of writing this the PvP module is the latest module which was added besides the PvE module which existed for a while.
So besides the PvP module at the moment this game is pretty much like Orion Prelude (developed by the same developers) remastered in Unreal Engine 4 except that this game features more guardians or classes with more to be added but at the same moment it is missing vehicles which might be added at some point. Now I will mention regarding the various gameplay aspects.

Space Captain McCallery - Episode 3: The Weaponmaster’s Challenge
The Weaponmaster’s Challenge
In the lawless reaches of the galaxy known as the Renegade Sector
Space Pirate Captain McCallery needs a Weaponmaster to round out his new crew, and he knows there’s only one man for the job: Mark Two-Blasters. A former member of his crew, Mark Two-Blasters left a year before the rest of the crew mutinied, due to disagreements with some of the other crewmembers. He took a shuttle and flew to the planet Ograr III, one of the most dangerous planets in the sector, to spend time training in isolation.
Ograr III, a planet of prehistoric beasts. Ograr III, a planet of thick forests and high mesas. Ograr III, where Mark Two-Blasters has made his home for the past year.
In this 3D Action-Adventure game, McCallery will have to explore a dangerous world, battle prehistoric monsters, survive off the land, and search for his old ally. With how things left off, Captain McCallery knows that Mark Two-Blasters won’t make himself easy to find. If McCallery wants Two-Blasters to rejoin his crew, he will have to prove himself in The Weaponmaster’s Challenge
This episode of Space Captain McCallery is a self-contained adventure and can be played without having played the first episode. However, if you want to start at the beginning, the first episode can be found here:

Explore a Strange Alien World
Playing as Captain McCallery, you will travel through thick forests, rocky cliffs and dark caves. Pay attention to your surroundings, as danger lurks behind every corner. This world is full of hidden paths and secrets to reward exploration.
Consume Alien Plants
The Captain needs to eat to survive! Be on the lookout for plants which you can consume to regain your energy. Food items can have a variety of other effects, ranging from restoring health and increasing your dash length, to hallucinations. Explore your environment to find rare and beneficial items!
Battle Alien Monsters
The game features fast-paced lock-on combat. Dash around your foes, dodging their attacks. Use your trusty laser gun to blast away at your enemies, or conserve your ammo by punching and throwing rocks. You’ll be up against a variety of alien beings, including multiple boss fights.
Survival Mode
For those who want an extra challenge, there’s Survival Mode. Survival Mode removes checkpoints from the game, and also removes enemy and item respawning. This mode requires caution and careful item-use in order to make it through.
Beacon
Updated Added 3/24/2019
Keep in mind this is a game still in beta phase, so it’s not quite finished. I’ll likely update my review as Beacon continues development.
I absolutely love top-down shooters and Beacon is no exception, in fact, it makes me appreciate them more. I’ve stuck around playing since it was released on Itch. It’s changed quite a lot, such as additions of enemies and bosses, loot areas, and of course all the bug-squashing, both technical and literal. It’s a little terrifying that there’ll be even more enemies and bosses later, which means plenty more ways to die, but hey, mutations are a thing.
– Real player with 68.5 hrs in game
Beacon has a nice low-poly artsyle, a pretty good soundtrack, and interesting writing and ideas. It has some weird design choices regarding weapons and enemies, but is over-all rewarding, if not occasionally frustrating due to a few enemies.
The gameplay is pretty typical: you can use 2 guns, have 1 equipment, 1 consumable/held passive, a grenade type, and as many passive non-held items as you want. You can smack things and dodge-roll, too.
The big game idea is that, when you die, you use DNA pickups you collect from enemies and can “mutate” next run… Or you can do what I did and beat it without mutating, which is pretty doable. Mutations change how the character looks/acts/stats and how the character reacts to items and story elements.

RollerCoaster VR Universe
When done well coaster rides can be excellent in VR. Some are outstanding in my view such as Epic Coasters, the excellent indie Ghost Town Mine Ride & Shooting Value, and the indie horror fun Creep Rides. There is an awful amount of naff out there as well. So it was with in trepidation purchasing RollerCoaster VR Universe for less than two quid.
Its not perfect. Some notable issues which I cite with a constructive view are: Shadowy artifacts in the background (mountains etc.) that break immersion by shape shifting, objects such as long grass on the track that appear in your truck (particularly on the ghost town zombie ride), the many objects adjacent to track appear to contrived on occasion. Some rides are better than others, the ocean track could do with more to see (i.e. undersea buildings, caverns etc.), and the zombie track I could feel would benefit from some of it going inside (a building for example) for part of the ride.
– Real player with 3.0 hrs in game
Six coasters for three bucks is a pretty sweet deal to be honest and there’s a lot of variety here. Zombies, dragons, an under the sea ride, even space. The city one which was just added today feels a little rough around the edges, but it’s certainly the most creative ending I’ve seen on a city coaster.
Overall, it’s worth three bucks now, and with a little love and smoothing out the rough edges it will be even better. Hopefully the future updates will include more dynamic soundtracks, and hammering out any pop ups or random floating objects like the coral at the start of the underwater ride. Ditto running over the poor fishys. Seriously though, it’s a solid start and most of the rides are at a pretty relaxing pace, so it would be perfect for those who might usually shy away from VR coasters.

Dinos Reborn
I am Payton, the (last?) survivor of the expedition I do not recall. I woke up in an escape pod in a place I do not know. The creepy sounds around me, mean one thing. I AM NOT ALONE!
Haunted by unanswered questions. The flashes of memories of the spaceship, the crew… and a mystical force keep reappearing in my dreams.
Trapped in a place where the past & future become the present and dinosaurs alive again.
I must evolve my survival skills, explore this unknown planet to solve its mystery, and discover its true nature and the reason for being here.
I must survive!… Payton Out!
Prepare to be surprised. For reasons unknown, some of the dinosaurs in this place are overly aggressive towards you. They are driven by something more than instinct and hunger. You’ll learn the reasons for this behavior if you will live long enough. Predators can hunt day and night. They can fight each other or work together.
Survival of the fittest. In this world, the number of ways you can die and things that can kill you is essentially limitless. Hunger, thirst, fatigue – fail to manage them, and you’re gone. An infected wound that you didn’t take care of in time? Bye-bye! Poison spreading throughout your body? You’d better look for healing herbs and change your diet, or no one will ever hear from you again. All this without even mentioning the huge predators roaming the land. Be vigilant, mask your scent, use camouflage, keep quiet, find a good spot to hide, and maybe, maybe you’ll make it ‘til morning.
You begin on this unknown planet with only your bare hands, sticks, and stones. You need food, water, shelter, fire, medicine, weapons, and many other things if you want to stay alive. The catch – you need to do all of this yourself. Tools will lead you to weapons, weapons to food, food to strength, strength to the ability to build traps, snares, fortifications, shelters, and eventually an entire base. The last will be crucial to your survival, which is your ultimate goal.
You don’t remember who you are or why you are here. The world around you is as dangerous as it is beautiful and mysterious. Exploring vast amounts of the terrain might reveal more wonders and unexpected encounters than you would expect. As you explore, you will come across unknown technology. Some of it will be recognizable to you. Others will be alien. You will find plenty of evidence that people were here, or maybe still are. Look for clues, notes, maps to find hidden places and discover the great secrets of this place, and to find who you are and what is the reason of being here.
You wake up on a beach with rainforests in your sight. It’s up to you to decide which direction to go. There is no invisible wall around here. It takes “just” 25 minutes to run from one end of this place to another. What keeps you from getting further? That is up to you to find out! While exploring vast amounts of terrain, one may encounter things beyond imagination. Before setting off on an adventurous trip, it is worth building a base. Once you have assembled all the tools you need, you can start building it.
The rules of this planet are quite simple. Kill or be killed. Hunt or become prey. Eat or be eaten. Here, even the smallest insect can become the cause of your doom. Simultaneously, you will often encounter creatures that will tolerate or even like you. Discovering who is friend versus foe will be one of the most important tasks ahead of you. Learn how to sneak up on creatures. Analyze their tracks, observe their habits, look for their weak points, and find the best moment to attack. Remember that each animal has a different sense of smell, hearing, and sight. As an experienced hunter, you will be able to hunt at night, but so will the creatures hunting you, so you should be all eyes and ears at all times.
Unlearn what you have learned. The unknown phenomenon can make dinosaurs behave unpredictably and look differently. Even the most hardcore dinosaurs geeks need to be on guard.
