Changed the review to positive, the dev fixed a lot of the issues I mentioned.

Like yeah the AI is still basic, its a bit asset reliant (the zombies used for the corpses for example) and it could still use a bit of optimization on some sections but it’s a single dev and I absolutely didn’t know he was working alone when I made my review.

The only thing that really annoy me rn is that if you shoot a dinosaur in the head from behind, the hit will not register as a headshot, so you will have to shoot him another time from the front to kill him and that’s pretty risky.

this game is a very amazing dino shooting/horror game because of the whole inventory system and the way the dinosaurs die but there is one fault, when you go to the last stand area with the other survivors you have two choices: fight alongside with them against the endless amount of raptors and die or blow a hole in the wall so everyone can escape with a C4. i chose option 2 but when i detonated the C4 there was no hole in the wall at all and there was not a single scratch on it it was still in perfect condition and no matter what the wall can take 4 C4’s and still stay in one piece so i restarted the game and got back to where i was and when i detonated the C4 it still stood in one piece so can you please fix that? it would help me so much in the game if you do that. but other than the whole C4 not doing any damage to the wall thing i would definitely recommend this to other players.

Dino Eruption

Dino Eruption

The Developer have seem to abandon it, which is quite sad because it could be better with a couple of fixes.

My Reverb G2 only shows the left eye screen and the requested Patch which was promised, same like reworked Button Layout never happened.

I will take an eye out for this game but at the Moment I can’t give it a positive Review longer.

Lets hope that this might change again.

Now THIS is the VR experience I’ve been waiting for! Blazing fast graphics and Rex model quality alone would have been worth the money for me. If you’re like Ross and love dinosaurs, this is a must for you. Jurrasic Eruption’s story is cool, but in graphics terms, it’s nothing compared to this gem.

I’d call this game a GTA of paleontology, as exploring and mesing around the world is s much fun here. The story is ok, but what ticles my fancy are seemingly unlimited options and highly interactive and responsive stuff, props and the environment, not unlike Crysis, or Return to Castle Wolfenstein (for those of you that remember).

Dino Hazard: Chronos Blackout

Dino Hazard: Chronos Blackout

Gorgeous prehistoric animal designs ! It’s good to see proper paleoart in a game that isn’t a walking simulator for once.

The dog was kind of annoying, but thankfully not for long ;^)

This review was made after completing the Beta.

Even at this stage Dino Hazard shows a lot of potential. The games setting and story are so far very interesting and while not 100% original, the more derivative elements are used in the best possible way rather then as a crutch. Do not be turned off by the games retro aesthetic, it’s very fun and runs smoothly. In fact it I rate it far more highly then maybe 99% of the Dinosaur games on steam.

This is a retro style rpg, you have the ability to explore an open world plus interior areas (which in themselves are pretty big) collecting items and solving puzzles. The enemies in this game are vary varied, including not just dinosaurs but a whole host of prehistoric life from multiple eras as well as several types of robot. The combat is turn based, in the same vain as EarthBound. Your characters are not visible on screen and the enemy sprites are static. When you attack sometimes an animation such as hand swinging a knife will appear, as a nice touch the weapon in the characters hand will change depending on what has been equipped. Despite combat’s simple animation, things can still get very tense and you will have to learn your enemies weaknesses in order to make things easier. Some aspects of combat are rather simple, others are a bit more complex but it’s not that hard to figure out. My one and only complain is that enemy attack turns can go by very quickly, making it a bit confusing as to what happened, but to balance that out not once did I feel things were being unfair.
