Great art and sound effects + addictive gameplay + difficult = I’m surprised at how much I enjoyed playing this game. I thought it was another rpgmaker game, but it is so much better than the 100s out there. Pick 1 of 3 classes to play, save points are scarce. Easy to play, but hard to master. Another RPG I need to finish.

Tower Of Heresy is an RPG Maker title with a surprising amount of depth. The poor resolution and graphics are downsides, but the real-time combat and strategic elements make it worth playing. 6/10

Shattered Hourglass

Shattered Hourglass

My take on Shattered Hourglass.

I have played this game 6-8 times since the first version. I never tire of it. I have played all endings which are based on your choices and Karma points. I have always enjoyed this game and would recommend it to anyone who likes a game with so many ways to play it. The optional dungeons are tough but, the rewards are great. One game, I put over 200 hours into it. So, 15-20 hours is just getting warmed up.

Depending on the path you chose, you may meet different characters and also experience gameplay that is only available during that particular path.

I’ve been playing this game since late 2014.I have played through all paths and grew quite fond of the Karma system!

It’s on my top 3 RPG Games of all times!

I definitely love Neutral path and the way my choices play out in the end.

PS: Zulwhern is a creep and Juliet just predictable, but Duran and Mio are my go to.

This was the first game that really made me see my choices being important. Being able to choose my own path and handle consequences, both story wise and mechanically wise, were a gamechanger for me.

Daedalic Complex

Daedalic Complex

Rpg game quite generic and in my view does not bring anything new to what is seen in similar rpgmaker games, in general it is not bad, I recommend it on offer or come in some economic bundle.

Guardians of Greenheart

I am appreciated for the high-difficult enemy that required careful planning to ensure victory with minimum cost. The art is beautiful and the story is straight to the point.

However, over the first hour of my playtime, the grinding has became too much. In the very first battle, you will be pitch against a big bad enemy that can one-shot (in which it did) your character should you had not debuff them. Beating that big bad was hard, but that okay, no problems.

However, when that very same kind of big bad which would reappeared in the next dozens of battles, the game became too much monotone and boring, for by the 3rd battle, you have already mastered what combo should you use.

MEMENTO:

The girls of “Saint Cattleya High School” arrived on Future Island for a school excursion. This is a small Island scarred by a past war. In the middle of a still delightful natural garden setting lies the War Museum, where letters and other objects from the terrible events which occurred on this Island are on display. During a break, Miss Shizuru felt dizzy in the Museum and passed out! As she woke up, she found herself in the same place, but in an alternative world where relics of the past war are now petrifying monsters. How are you going to go back to your time, my dear Shizuru?

Well I do much enjoyed with the journey but not the story, monster, and stuff. I mean its in the middle of war and so many trap but why the monster also from a plane or crane or something like a cube huge things which buried and ex-army. I agree with character even there is a little big than normal size but which I don't like is the story that's all. I didn't feels anything from this game. Oh and the HP is 5 and if you want to regen just going to the cross but it will healing when your HP is 1\. Also check point which is hard to find. You need to look a cross shape to save your progress but only if you remember so far that's good. Bad check point it's uncomfortable.

## Unforgiving Trials: The Darkest Crusade

Unforgiving Trials: The Darkest Crusade is a very imbalanced game from the very beginning.

Unforgiving Trials: The Darkest Crusade is a RPGMaker designed game that does not deviate from typical RPGMaker design. The game's premise is that there is some evil in the east, and you need to just keep moving east and fighting battles. However, this game is different from others in that you have to partake in 4 battles in a row, with the 4th battle being a boss battle every time. After the 4 battles, you can rest and buy stuff in a town/outpost/camp, and then you continue east. Although this may sound not terrible, the game has horrible scaling. The first battles were already extremely hard, and there is no option of grinding to level up. This game is brutally unforgiving like the title says, but in a bad way.

My Grandfather smoked his whole life. I was about 10 years old when my mother said to him, "if you ever want to see your grandchildren graduate, you have to stop immediately.". Tears welled up in his eyes when he realized what exactly was at stake. He gave it up immediately. Three years later he died of lung cancer. It was really sad and destroyed me. My mother said to me - "Don't ever smoke. Please don't put your family through what your Grandfather put us through." I agreed. At 17, I have never touched a cigarette. I must say, I feel a very slight sense of regret for never having done it, because this game gave me cancer anyways.

## Valcarta: Rise of the Demon

Just like when I played version 1.0, this version of the game is awesome. I had a lot of fun playing it from the new ATB system (with blocking), to how you learn new spells, to the new improved storyline. LIke I said after I played the 1.0 I am hoping for a Valcarta II to pop up sometime in the future.

Now that I finished the Light Path storyline, I just need to work on the Dark Path Storyline…which I'm sure it's going to be interesting as heck to get through.

I am an RPG maker addict. I just want to get that out there to begin with.

This game is wonderful. The story line…...fantastic. A few awkward moments in the dark line, but it just adds to some of the humor. I thoroughly enjoyed the game, the music, the story, the humor, etc. I usually refuse to pay this much for an RPG maker game, but I thought I would take a chance on this one based on some of the other reviews. I don't regret it one bit.

Next up.....the light path!

****EDIT****

OK, I'm on the light path. I was worried it would just be the same story on the flip side. It's not. There are different areas you go to, etc. Again, recommend sooooo much.

![Coffee Crawl](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/793820/header.jpg "")

## Coffee Crawl

Coffee Crawl is a very interesting game, it offers much-much more than it costs and in short (for those who won't read wall of text which I put below) I recommend this game.

Coffee Crawl is an interesting survival roguelike RPG mix. In terms of gameplay it offers slash RPG, resource gathering&managing, crafting and diplomacy, which all is fused into single entity. This game also offers anarchy mode, which allows some rules of the game to be broken at the cost that you will be chased by the police and penalized if caught, and you might upset some of 15 other people, who left awake. Game's difficulty increases with time and usual game flow involves building your character by crafting useful stuff, picking up items called "novelties" that increase your character power in some certain way or reducing game's difficulty (usually with some drawback) and negotiating with others to oppose this difficulty. Coffee Crawl, however, won't babysit you, it gives you the basics in how to play the game and then leaves you to figure out the rest for yourself. I played for around 60 hours and I still haven't figured and tried out everything.

"Coffee Crawl" is a fast-paced challenging rogue-like.

It has many randomly-generated maps and locations.

You can choose from a wide range of characters and classes.

There are many NPC's that you can trade with.

You can also craft many helpful items along the way.

Be sure to manage your health and energy to remain alive.

Then defeat the boss and exit to continue your journey.

## Crown Champion: Legends of the Arena

I'm actually writing a review for a game before I complete it, that I actually plan to complete shortly. This is a first. This is mainly since this game feels very RNG based similarly to 'I am Overburdened' in that regard. But this game let me put it to it simply, this is my FOURTH playthrough to try and get to the end. There's that much in the game to consider that you have to think of when you start the game. Since if you do some things wrong early game it screws you over for the rest of the game.

This game is beyond awesome. It has SO much potential. I didn't think it would be my thing, because strategy games usually aren't my cup of tea, but I thoroughly enjoyed Crown Champion: Legends of the Arena.

Though technically this is a management SIM, and this seems to be up my alley after all.

If the game were to be tweaked periodically it could grow into something bigger & better for sure!

There's so much to say about Crown Champion I don't even know where to start.

As the player you find yourself playing as a Slave Manager. With that comes an estate (in a decrepit state), which you buy & renovate & expand as you make a name for yourself - battle, after battle.
