HellSign

HellSign

If you’re new to this title, know that HellSign was supposed to the genuine, one-of-a-kind ghost detective/shooter game. But it was recently spoiled and abandoned by its creators, so… maybe you don’t want to taste it now.

The devs gave up their project. It is not labeled ‘Early Access’ now, but it is not the game we were promised. Not even a half of it. The story isn’t going anywhere after the ‘first act’, there are no more promises of different towns, different locations, and something else to fill the blanks.

This downvote is for the devs, not for the game.

Let me explain.

The game itself is very intresting, and (mostly) well-made. I had fun playing it. Searching for clues, hunting cryptids, preparing for the big ghost battles - awesome. There are a lot of cool elements like sudden shadow plane shift, extremely intricated cryptonomicon with awesome illustrations, poltergeist phenomenons like sudden flying chairs, ringing clocks, TVs, glitching equipment etc. The game even has very cool-drawn comics (max payne style) as a story turning points, though they are very few, just 3 if i remember right.

Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition

Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition

Nioh 2 is a must buy for any soulsborne fan or people looking for Ninja type games. It’s way better, and I mean it…than Nioh 1, be it in terms fluidity, game balance, inventory management, combat is more polished and Yokai transformation mechanics is just a cheery on top of a cake. I had a blast going through the game and although the end game farming is kinda rough but it’s not something undoable, if you know the mechanics. As for bosses, Nioh 1 bosses are better lorewise, difficulty wise but Nioh 2 bosses are more fun to fight against. World design is more vibrant than Nioh 1 and to me, it’s even better than Dark Souls. Final rating, 8/10…damn near perfect souls like. Also, don’t buy this game for PvP, it’s non-existant.

Absolutely phenomenal. This game bumped Dark Souls as my favorite of all time with an asterisk that it owes much of its inspiration to the original “Souls-like.”

I see a lot of comments warning not to compare Dark Souls 3 to Nioh 2 because they are “completely different games.” This is a lie. Dark Souls 3 and The Sims are completely different games. Aside from both being Action RPGs, Souls and Nioh have a lot in common:

-Almost identical death system. Lose your experience unless you can touch your grave, keep your items.

Cellyon: Boss Confrontation

This game has a really cool concept and is very promising for the future, the skill cap seems to be very high and even though it is still the beginning, there is already a lot of content that will challenge you for hours.

It is in early development phase so there are some bugs and a lot of things can be improved but it is really promising and might offer to MMO lovers a real challenge through a lot of different encounters !

I reccommend it !

I never was a fan of this kind of game because of the farming part.

So this was a very good ocation to start since there is no farming part in this game.

I reccomand it for all who want to try MMO/boss fight who can’t spend 20 hours farming before any fun.

The souls series is one of my favorite series ever, and this game is no different. ignore the hate for this game, its a good game, its just a 9 in a series of straight 11’s, one of the games has to be at the bottom and it just so happens to be this one, but that does not make it a bad game. I would recommend this game to all, including souls vets who have never played it and anyone new trying to get into the series.

DARK SOULS™: Prepare To Die™ Edition

Short version :

One of the best RPG games EVER made, that’s coming from a gamer who’s played over a hundred RPG titles in his life.

Dark Souls - 9.5/10

_Long Version :

Darks Souls….. so much to say about this game.

The game throws the player in a very difficult world, not just by gameplay standards, but plotwise as well. The story / lore is depicted in such a way that it’s never speaking to the player directly, but rather to your character, it never breaks the 4th wall by directly telling the player what to do and how to do it, only the basic attack move buttons are given to you at the beginning, and from then on, you’re completely on your own for the rest of the 50+ hour journey. Unless you get a co-op partner that is._

TLDR: Yes.

Dark Souls has issues.

While most entertainment experiences go out of their way to encourage your interest, it feigns indifference to your attention.

Introducing itself via bizarre and meaningless cut scenes you find your protagonist in a pretty dull dungeon. “Oh look, a man with a sword viewed from third person” you observe with a mounting sense of déjà vu. “No doubt I have a healing potion and a sense of manifest destiny somewhere in my bag too” and reach for the reset button/cyanide pill. But Dark Souls IS different - not that it is keen to show off. Like Usain Bolt winning the Dad’s race on sport day mumbling something about how he probably jumped the gun, Dark Souls’ initial coyness infuriates and astounds with equal measure.

Deathbound

Deathbound

Embark on a journey about mortality, identity, fanaticism and grief. Absorb the Essences of dead warriors from 5 different classes and transform into them, switching between their skill sets and game modes, in this soulslike action RPG.

Explore Zieminal, a medieval world risen from technological ruins as the Prisoner of a Thousand Faces, a creature trapped between life and death. Race against time to face your creators, fanatical cultists in search of eternal life, before the powerful Church of Death captures them and executes them as heretics.

Story

Eons ago, Goddess Life had deceived her sister, Goddess Death, to steal her powers and create the First Men, a race of beings unable to die. Alive for thousands of years, they erected a powerful and advanced civilization, with magic-like technology and continent-spanning cities.

But Goddess Death would not settle for being deceived, and began to slowly seduced these immortal people, overwhelmed by an existence that would never come to an end. Eventually, they gave up their immortality, and their society collapsed overnight.

Centuries later, a new civilization emerged from the wreckage of the old world and, with it, the desire to deceive Death once again. For years, the Essencemancers, a zealot sect of scholars of the forbidden knowledge, have tried to perfect a ritual that, with the use of the First Men’s long-lost technology, would allow for eternal life - but at a terrible cost.

You are the result of these experiments.

Features

Absorb Essences: Capture the Essences of up to 15 characters from 5 different classes, each with their own abilities, game modes, personalities and story.

Transform: Assemble a team of up to 4 captured Essences and switch between them during the game - even during combat. Combine the skills of different characters with strategy to overcome obstacles.

Fight: Face fierce enemies that require more than brute force to be defeated. Skillfully coordinate your attacks as you switch between Essences to unleash devastating attacks.

Live the conflict: Each Essence is a character with a past and point of view - many of them antagonistic. Conflicts give bonuses and penalties, and take the story in unexpected turns. Know how to exploit the weaknesses and strengths of having saints and sinners, victims and executioners under the same skin.

Live the world: Explore Zieminal, a world that intertwines a technological past and a medieval present, home to diverse cultures. Choose your side in the conflict between the Church of Death and the Cult to Life - or walk your own path.

Live the story: Experience a mature narrative that addresses serious topics such as religious fanaticism, the finitude of life and the horrors of war. See the conflicts of the characters reflected in the course of the game.

Equilibrium Of Divinity

Equilibrium Of Divinity

Well I like it so far. To me its like a Tales of Ma’Jahael with a group and crafting and tactical combat rather than just bumping your sprite into the enemy sprite. Don’t get me wrong, ToME is a great game with plenty of depth, but..I HATE the sprite thing. Is this game fancy or flashy? Not at all, but the basic tactical combat makes it feel more like a pen and paper rpg than the aforementioned game.

I must say this game kinda snuck under my skin as I slowly realized it had more to it than I thought at first. You party is build as you want, 6 in a group and no classes. now it gets even better.

You are lost in a maze of connecting portals to different maps, (lands) and with each layer or portal you enter thru, you will get points to add to your characters build.

As in;

Weapons - mace, dagger, etc.

Professions - alchemy, tailor, 8 types.

Skills - lockpicking, linguistic, perception, 3more.

Pretty good turn based game. There were a lot of intense moments of saving team members that could be played out well due to unique abilities that can help in different situations.

It would be great to have possibility to return to the town and compare equipped items.

Waiting for more content.
