O3DX
I’ve got mixed feelings about this game. On one hand I love the concept and simple controls. On the other hand it’s hard to play a game that crashes all the time, and doesn’t let you control the camera.
The first level pack is fine, but even on sale it’s not really worth $8.49… maybe $4.24.
If the second level pack worked like it’s suppose to, then it would be worth $8.49.
And if I could get to the third level pack, then it would be worth $12.50.
And if I could finish the game and feel satisfied, then it would be worth $14.99.

Offroad 3DX is a physics based point to point racer, not dissimilar to the Trials series, albeit with some interesting and innovative twists.
Gameplay:
First off, although very accessible, O3DX is hard….. Very hard, you won’t be flying through the levels like in other physics racers. After the first few tutorial levels are finished, you’ll have to work hard, just to get to the finish line on most maps.
The first thing that stands out in O3DX is the fact that although you can only move your vehicle on a 2D plain, all the levels are rendered in 3D. This gave the developer, the ability to add things like tricky, slow corners and dynamic camera views.

Lumberjack Simulator
Well, after playing Lumberjack Simulator for over 44 hours now I feel I can wholeheartedly recommend it. It may have a tough learning curve due to the large amount of different vehicles and the unusual key commands, but it is so worth it after you learn the basics of a few machines. I had enough fun in the beginning of career just cutting down a few trees and running them through a chipper to make a few bucks but then you can advance through much more complex machines. There is also ‘open world’ play with easy, medium, and hard levels.

Let me first start off by saying the product I am reviewing is the Steam Early Access!
No, I was not paid to say any of this, this is all 100% my personal opinions of what I think about the game.
Detailed review or SKIP to TLDR
Who is this game for?
If you love forestry or any sort of logging or have a curiosity for it, or just would like to give yourself a challenge out in the forest, then I believe this game will be for you!
(Now, not to compare, but I am doing so purely from a review point to point out the key features that Lumberjack Simulator has over other games!)

DiRT Rally
There’s nothing like flying down a dirt road sliding around corners and missing edges by inches. Its seat of the pants driving in the extreme.
Rally-sport is one of the last untamed racing types in existence. To me its baffling why the sport is not more popular. Im looking forward to attending my first local one next spring. A number of years ago after dirt showdown came out I was so disappointed by the offering I did a google search for rumors about the next dirt game when I came across a extensive survey(8 pages long) for what I wanted in the next dirt game. The nature of the questions were thorough and specific as far as authenticity and most of all realistic simulation vs arcade racing. After taking the survey I was super existed told fellow racing friends about it. But years went by and nothing… 9months ago codies said they were removing the dreaded GFWL from dirt 3 and making it a steamworks game. Time went by and I thought its fate was the same as the survey I took. Then in time for my birthday for this year we got Dirt 3 Complete. Then I was blown away because not long after dirt 3 came this gem.

Initially I had a cracked copy of this game, and I just felt guilty for playing it so much. Buying it was one of the best ideas I had, and I should have bought it day 1
Coming from a history of playing a TON of rally games from the PlayStation 1 era up until now, but sadly missed out on Richard Burns Rally.
PROS
- I love the fact it’s not as arcadey as most other rally games. I was pretty good in Dirt 3, but coming into DR showed me that I didn’t know NEARLY enough, and since I’d always push as hard as I could, the game punished me for it every single time. They could have improved on the physics but it is still one of the better representations of a rally car

art of rally
Not really arcade, not really sim, art of rally is a compelling top down racing game with multiple layers to be discovered and a high skill ceiling. Chill but also competitive, it’s demanding enough to stay interesting but the whole atmosphere, beautiful aesthetics and a banging soundtrack also make it a relaxing and memorable experience.
The different cars have a weight to them and feel amazing after a bit of a learning curve, you feel completly in control. The difference in handling is really noticeable between the vehicules, the best example being RWD vs AWD. If you’re familiar with racing/rally you’ll find techniques like weight transfer, handbrake turns and drifts can and should be applied here. You can even clutch kick. The game offers manual or automatic transmissions and controllers and wheels are supported. ( And highly recommended, please don’t play this game on keyboard.) There is A LOT of cars to try and mastering them will take time, some will fit a specific driving style, some will control you more than you control them. Most engines sound great, some better than others, but they are pretty decent overall.

### To do something dangerous with style, is art…
art of rally is a minimalistic, bird’s eye view racing game. Your goal is to win championships spanning from the 60s and through to the mid-90s.
Beauty in simplicity.
One of the most striking things about art of rally is the presentation: a wonderful, vibrant low-poly visual style, which also includes atmospheric volumetric lighting. Driving towards the setting sun on evening stages is a sight to behold. On top of this, a photo mode is available for your pleasure. It lets you enjoy the lawyer-friendly rally cars blasting through the track, leaving trails of thick smoke in their wake and with their brake discs glowing and sparking. The trackside spectators being cubes may seem odd at first, but they actually complement the game’s aesthetics very nicely.

DiRT Rally 2.0
Never really cared for any racing or driving games before this one.
It was brutally hard for me to learn but once you actually get the hang of things it is so damn fun and makes you feel like such a badass. There is no feeling quite like going sideways on a dirt road at 100 MPH and knowing you are fully in control.

Racing games were the one thing I always avoided. For someone like me, who’s a major newbie that can’t build on any past experience or skill in this genre, DiRT Rally 2.0 is a challenge. Sure it can get frustrating, sure I’ll never be the best. But this game reconnected me with real skill-building that requires time and concentration. But beyond the stats, and costs, and strategies, the driving experience is just plain fun.

OVERPASS™
This game is FUN. The graphics are awesome, the engine/sound effects are very satisfying, and there is around 40 hours of engaging gameplay in conquering everything it has to offer. The career mode is a little on the thin side, but there is a good variety of tracks and the finals offer a number of fresh obstacles to take on.
The physics are excellent. They are not broken like some claim. There is just a bit of a catch 22 in the career mode: you need upgrades in order to even finish some of the tracks offered, but you cannot get the upgrades without making a decent time and coming in third. I was able to work around this by tackling what tracks I was able to, unlocking upgrades along the way, and retiring from events that I simply could not do. In this fashion I was able to eventually get some better vehicles and upgrades and make great times on all the tracks.

I do love this game. I never leave feedback but I felt I enjoy it enough I should. The other reason im leaving feedback on the game is. It is different than most games. I feel I have played every other style of game out there. This one is different and its a good different. I dont feel im playing the same game just renamed like i do most of the time. I often go riding in the mountains and its a true passion of mine. When I cant go riding this is the next best thing.
Do I feel its a true sim? Its very close without real broken bones. I do see a few minor issues. But overall it is a game and getting a game this close when it comes to slow technical riding is a chore im sure. I do get stuck on a random small rock every once in a while that irritates me.

Offroad Mania
I can’t remember how I came across this game, but I am glad I did.
The Gameplay is straight forward, you spawn on a platform that is suspended in air and have to reach the finish line without falling off. The game also offers collectible trophies as an additional challenge.
You can choose if you want to play “easy” mode or “hard” mode, the latter requires you to collect all 3 trophies per level before continuing. The 60 individual levels provide a increasing difficulty level, the only aspect I didn’t like about the choice of level design is the inversion of all levels starting from level 61. You are playing through the game again but with reversed levels.

Addicting indie game where you have to traverse various obstacles to drive across the finish line
Pros
→ plenty of levels to choose from (although half of the maps in classic mode are the same maps but in reverse)
→ decent vehicle selection
→ fun physics
→ well-balanced achievements
→ regular updates
→ different modes
→ low price
→ front and rear vehicle modification
→ great sounds
→ trading card drops
Neither
→ gameplay gets slightly tedious after a while
→ limited customization (only colors can be changed both on the truck and player)

DiRT 4
ATTENTION: I FOCUS ON PHYSICS MORE THAN SOME PEOPLE MIGHT HAVE PREFARED. THIS IS DONE BECAUSE THE GAME WAS MARKETED AS A SIMULATION-TYPE GAME. THE ONLY REASON I HAVE 100+ HOURS IS BECAUSE THERE IS NO OTHER RALLY GAME WORTH MY TIME
I rarely post negative reviews because I know that, behind all this, stand passionate people who have devoted hours into providing us with their game, and even if it doesn’t live up to the expectations, it’s still something they have worked on hard and don’t deserve to be bashed about it. But with Dirt 4 I feel like I have been tricked, cheated, so this mindset of mine didn’t apply here; thus the negative review.
– Real player with 177.9 hrs in game
Please note: My “3 hours played” is not accurate - I have about 40 hours on an alternate account. I had to register my press release key on an alternate account as I had DiRT4 already preordered on this account.
A lot of people have asked me to write a review on this game. I’m really not a review kind of guy - in fact I think I’ve only done one review before this. However, having played rally games since 1998, perhaps my input can be of some aid to those who are hesitant to spend money on this title. I also have 1777 hours played in Dirt Rally. I feel that this helps a little in forming my opinion on the game.
