PowBall Renaissance
Welcome to PowBall Renaissance
This isn’t your classic Breakout game or Arkanoid, however, given that is has open endless possibilities of making your own levels, refusing to purchase upgraded ammunition for your weaponry and adjusting levels to that, you can pretty much play this game in any form or shape you want. Classic, Retro, Modern, or PowBall style.
Make no mistake this game comes with over 300+ levels, including those from PowBall Deluxe, the original game for DOS/Windows.
Good news, game runs perfectly smooth, higher resolution support, and even 4K if you are into that. Level Editor that lets you comprise your own set of master levels with gimmicks of your choice using what the game engine has provided. Perhaps the game may require a Workshop functionality so players can share their own level sets for others to play as a bonus (that is entirely up to steam if I am not mistaken).

Another clone of arkanoid, but the one which tries a new approach to the genre rather than copying its sucess.
I played the original way back since its original release in 1996 and loved it right away, because it innovated the concept. And this remake is brilliant. Also, it is quite stable since it runs very well on my Toshiba laptop and hasn’t crashed not even once.
Even though I prefer the original, do not miss the chance to try this version. It is simply something you need to try before dismissing it as another Arkanoid rip-off. The concept is the same, the gameplay, is quite different. Go take a ride with it.

Survive Into Night
Hello ! First of all I want to say that I love Retro Pixel games and this game has unique atmosphere, very big potential to become amazing game. I wish you all the best during work on the production of this game !!! Very very big thanks for the key of the game and I love this mini game with flying pig :P ;) I can imagine it takes a lot of time to make a game like this and I appreciate the work and idea put into this game.I hope the game will develop in terms of story, new quests, crafting and maybe even base building. I wish you perseverance in the further work on this game.

I got a key from the developer so thank you for letting me try your game.
I wanted to try this game because I enjoy top-down horror games like this, sometimes when I was playing I couldn’t pick up items for some reason took me a while to figure out how to get into my inventory but that’s just me i’m thick.
I went to the hospital but couldn’t find any trace of the person I was looking for but again maybe I wasn’t looking in the right place.
Overall I really liked it and gave me retro vibes of playing back in the 80’s and 90’s I made a video with no commentary just having a look at the gameplay.

Vapormaze
Vapormaze can be rough around the edges but overall it is a great game and even greater rouge-like. I feel as though the game has a high-ish skill ceiling, as certain mechanics, movement, and gunplay are hard to nail down at first. However, if you continue playing you’ll find that the mechanics become second nature and are fun to use. The game also exceeds aesthetically, as the world and the music are quite unique and different to many other games I have played. The atmosphere of this game is probably its greatest achievement. There are certain mechanics that can be a bit finicky or sometimes annoying, but overall the game is a relaxing and fun experience. I would recommend this game to anyone who is into other rouge-like titles (although I will say this game is a tad bit overpriced, maybe wait for a sale).

Do you love the OG FPS roguelite HEAVY BULLETS? Do you love the dulcet tones of WINDOWS96?
I do! So I had to pick it up!
TLDR is that I recommend it if you like the aesthetic, and are ok with a work in progress. Otherwise you might find this frustrating.
There are definitely bugs and control issues. But there is also an undeniable quality and craft present as well. I think the good out weights the bad, and the bad will probably get fixed

Hand Cannon Virtuoso
This is one of those hidden VR gems that deserves more attention and praise. This game offers a high skill ceiling, with fast, and easy to understand mechanics. It fully takes advantage of the medium and format of VR, and it feels like a full game and not just a tech demo, despite still being in early access.
The main game play is that of a shooter. However, instead of just running and gunning, you have rockets on your wrists, allowing you to jump, fly, glide, and even dash your way through the rooms. This fast, yet tight and responsive flying system, gives the game an immense speed to its main game play. However, this does mean it may not be the best first time VR experience as you move so quickly, but I have never personally experienced any dizziness or nausea from the game.

DISCLAIMER
I am very close to the developer and have been heavily involved in alpha/beta testing for this game, so I am VERY biased :)
That said - as evidenced by playtime I think this game is a lot of fun.
My favorite parts are:
-
Locomotion is pretty unique relative to other VR games I’ve played. It looks fast paced but actually does not really cause me any issues with motion sickness. I think having to wave your arms around to control your thrusters helps with motion sickness.
-
The game is more than a tech demo - I find it fun and highly replayable with a lot of cool content to keep me interested. There are tons of weapons, enemies, and tactics to learn

Random Heroes: Gold Edition
Very Good Game for People who love Pixel Games (myself) !! I have not the best English !!
But there are downsides as well (Its not out for long and will probably be fixed)
1. Achievments do not work at least for now
2. I dunno if its a bug but i had all Characters right at the start
But despite some Bugs its a good Game and not too expensive so
i would recommend it

EDIT: This game is more fun than I originally thought it would be based on the first impression. And THEY FIXED THE BUGGED ACHIEVEMENTS! I’ll lever my first review for people to see my first impression, but just know that it’s better than I thought it would be after that first hour. Getting new guns is fun, and they really change up how you play. That made all the difference from it being a good time waster to being a legit just good game.
It’s a good, if somewhat basic game. Nice throw back title that I don’t think would be fun to play for hours on end, but to fire it up and spend a little time with it here and there, it’s perfect for that.

Risk of Rain 2
One of the best rogue-like games I’ve ever played. Man where do I even start.
The gameplay loop is fairly straightforward. You shoot/slash, and you loot, and do some more until you either ascend to godhood, or die facing an overwhelming horde of monsters. The concept doesn’t sound too complex or profound, but the actual process is, in every sense, engaging. The basic controls is solid, the different classes of survivors each feels unique and interesting, and the item synergies are immensely satisfying. It is incredibly freeing to navigate the environments of Petrichor V, especially on the more mobile survivors.

Unbelievably good game, maybe one of the best of all time from a pure gameplay perspective, the story is pretty peripheral. This game is all about choices, items, and ultimately your mechanics of playing a third person shooter/melee.
Do you farm the whole level and hope you get lucky? Or do you spend no more than 5 minutes tops per level hoping that your luck will even out over the course of more levels before enemies become too powerful to beat? Which items will you choose, what if luck doesn’t let you choose those items? You can play a typical shooter, or melee, or get weird with the engineer, playing with turrets and shields. Do you risk playing with the lunar items?

SPL: Skilled Pilots Live
This game is some straight forward honest arcade shooting fun with some nice features thrown in to keep it interesting; weapon choices , ship enhancements, crafting, loot (new), allied wingmen (new) and a ring flying game. I get my my fix of it in an 30 mins to an hour a play which is perfect for me as time is hard to come by for me . I found the game to have medium/hard difficulty, but the difficulty scales based on how you play the game and you are rewarded with a higher score and rewards etc. Too easy then go for the 100%+ encounters too hard stay around 50% and grind a bit until you get better gear. The bosses tend to be the hardest part, but all good boss battles are :) I think of it as if R type had a 3d baby with Doom, and Souls :) In its state now I would rate it above average ,but with the potential to be a great game with more guidance from the community and hard work from the developer.

A little rough around the edges, and a bit light handed on the tutorial however this game grows on you very quickly.
The combat is different from most 4x style games there is a lot of control over the ship. There are a few things I have noticed that I am sure will be fixed my biggest problem is when enemy ships are close together your ship does not seem to know who to lock onto. ( but there is a weapon type that does take care of this. ) My biggest issue with the game would be even thou it controls very nice an fluid there is a lack of feeling. (( what i mean by a lack of feeling is that it feels like your not moving. If it was not for the wave like field that is around your ship when moving i would think i was sitting still. )) All in All I would rate this game a solid 7 out of 10. An with that bottom line is the game is FUN, FLUID,EASY TO LEARN.

Flashlight
Full disclosure, this game is developed by a friend. That being said, it’s a relief to be able to say that the Flashlight is good, so I don’t have to fake being nice.
I’m a purveyor of twin-stick style shooters - Synthetik, Nuclear Throne, Assault Android Cactus, Helldivers, The Ascent - all games I have a decent amount of hours in. Flashlight can stand shoulder to shoulder with all of them in terms of raw fun. The multiplayer modes, where the game really shines in my opinion, are a blast. They’re high-tension bouts of raw skill. Mobility is limited in this game, so good aim, tactical weapon use, and coordination are key to victory. You can also play the story mode cooperatively or single player to hone your skills, mowing down waves of zombies and bot mercenaries.

This is a game that gives retro vibes but all the fun a shooter has.
It’s a great game to play with others and because it has various modes it doesn’t get borring.
If you are looking for a no brainer pick to play with other people this is definetly your game

Uproar: Explorer of the Worlds
We are happy to hear any suggestions and ideas from the community and will be glad to talk on our Discord:
Uproar is a third-person game with elements of rogue-like and dungeon crawler genres, where you have to defeat your opponents with improvised weapons. There are 2 gamemodes - multiplayer and singleplayer.
In multiplayer you get into one of many parallel worlds and fight with other players till the last man standing. Winner obtains an artifact.
In singleplayer you have to crawl through randomly generated dungeons with enemies, traps and secrets.
While you are getting through the levels, you can obtain unique artifacts and resources to upgrade your character. The farther you go, the harder it will become, but the prize will also be better.
Features:
-
Every part of the environment can be your weapon (If not, we will add it)
-
Totally destructible (well, almost)
-
Various levels, each with its' unique items
-
Procedural levels and their parts - that makes every game unpredictable
-
Early access. We know how the game must look, but the core idea is so ambitious that we are open to hear your thoughts and ideas!
Multiplayer
Short fast-paced fight till the last man standing. The last player takes artifact with him. You can’t respawn in the match and have only one chance to win.
At the start of the match, your only weapon is your fists, but you can pick up every item that can be a “weapon” (or can’t be). Defeat every other opponent and be the last one! The closer the end of the match is, the more unstable the world becomes and things from other dimensions start to spawn on the map.
Singleplayer(Co-op)
To obtain an artifact on your own you have to go through dungeons that are inhabitat by creatures (not always friendly). Sometimes you will encounter different sort of traps and obstacles, but also there is a chance to find something valuable.
Levels are divided into Realms, but inside each realm they are quite different, with it’s own features and secrets. It will be pretty hard to predict what you find in the future.
Future Features:
-
Companions - small robots that will accompany you in solo adventures. They will be able to help you in fight and in your walkthrough.
-
Your private house - furnish it with artifacts from your adventures and call your friends to show off!
-
Cooperative mode? Ofcourse! Everything is funnier with a party!
