Hextones: Spacetime

This game bring to us a new thing that i really loved

Now we can use our unconscious competence in a game mode with just 5s to act

So we can practice and learn without timer and put our brain in a tough test and see if our learnings are really deeply embedded

Great Game!!!

This game is so much better than the first one! The stellar archive is very cool and the soundtrack is awesome! The new time mechanic is no joke, you need to think fast, but the freeze time and swap commands help you get through it. The new options of hexgrids changed everything and the hardcore mode is for pros, but the classic, soothing mode is there too for the oldschoolers. Congratulations Nukearts! Keep up the good job!

Hexdoku

Hexdoku

I love hexagons and general deductive stuff more than I hate sudoku, so I had to try hexdoku at some point.

you have to place various shapes all over the hex-based grids, without repeating them in the same line or area. no guessing necessary, one solution per level. 32 main levels unlocked one by one, including a tutorial and a final ‘thank you’ level. 31 bonus stages with slightly different rules are made available on separate branches when you reach them on the map (3x10 but one also has a tutorial, and they also unlock one by one).

Senalux

This is what I exactly want all the time, the best traditional light puzzle game I ever played.

Simple but stylish graphic.

Tricky but elegant puzzles.

Typical but colorful game mechanics.

Well-made to unleash the very potential of a light puzzle game.

A little suggestion

The shards reward in the some level may need adjustment, where player has no way to get less than 3 shards, for the number of mirrors that game provides is only the minimum, but sometimes the game still have the setting of 2 or 1 reward if the player could use more.

This game caught me by surprise. I went in expecting “just another light-beam” game, and was surprised by the depth and complexity of the levels.

The game takes simple tools, introduces them in a way that lets you know precisely what they do, and then ramps up the difficulty once you’ve got the idea. While it is by no means an “easy” game - The difficulty comes from actual puzzles and never from not understanding what is expected.

Since I bought the game, another free 72 levels were added as free DLC (Level Pack 4), with again - new tools which are easily understood but result in some seriously difficult puzzles. The developers for this are very open and have helped fix unintended solutions and other problems very quickly.

This is a game about reaching a particular flow state that feels like it could be preparation for occult undertakings. I have not played very long and the game is very much in early access, but what I have played has felt like slowly deciphering an alien language. Gradually, over successive minutes, I began trying to maintain a model of a three dimensional chart of graphemes in my head. I really liked that tension of gradually being able to intuit what moves would work as I played, rather than just going through trial and error or depending entirely on the visual clues to work very slowly towards scoring combinations.

Loot Rascals

Loot Rascals

Loot rascals is a lightweight rogue-like. A true roguelike, complete with turn-based gameplay, random level generation, permadeath and tactical decisions. Only ASCII graphics are missing but who needs them really?

Its unique feature is card-based improvement. Many slain enemies will drop a card that has either an offensive or a defensive value. You place those cards in 2 by 5 grid to improve your stats. Some cards just have a value, but others have special feature : bonus/malus depending on where you put them on the grid, bonus/malus conferred to surrounding cards, etc. Other cards give you special abilities if you attach them to regular cards : the usual fire/ice/electric “spells”, healing or teleportation. Those abilities need to recharge (with time) each time you use them.

So it turns out the Scots aren’t just responsible for finely distilled whiskey and deep fried Mars bars. They are also hurling themselves out into deep space with holographic AI’s capable of guiding you through treacherous hex-based terrains in the new CCG roguelite - Loot Rascals.

The first thing that strikes you about the game is it’s sense of humor. From its colorful and wacky artstyle. To the voice acting. To the fact that your mission is to rescue a giant robotic head called “Big Barry” - This is definitely one of those games that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

I love this game! I am an avid puzzler, and for me this is on par with solitaire and sudoku, however I have never seen a game like this before. Engaging to play on it’s own, or while listening to books or podcasts!

Human Extinction Simulator

Human Extinction Simulator

This is a very good game, well worth the $20.

I am about half way through the campaign. It is decently hard, but only in that you are required to take a moment and think about the consequences of your moves. Most of the missions I have been able to finish with all bonus objectives on the first try, it is not punishing.

It is an interesting take on space combat. Each ship has its own movement and firing patterns, so it does take a moment to learn. Some ships are mobile enough that you can reliably dart in and out of combat with no problem (aided by the overlay which shows you which locations are safe to end your move.) Some ships are powerful but slow, and you need to plan their route and make sure nothing impedes their course. It does remind me of chess, but more complicated and with some computer assistance to plan your moves.

A lot of the negative reviews on this game are from people who have played it for 2-3 hours and I can understand why but I think they need to give it a bit more time because it is a real fun strategy game if you can get over the initial hump, which is the 3rd level. It took me a few attempts to beat it and a couple of hours but when I did it was a Eureka moment in terms of how to play.

Each ship shoots in a different way and moves in a different way so none are alike in terms of how you should attack with them and certain weapons do damage to shields or hull so you do have to think about placement but once you get your head around the game mechanics it is not that difficult. It does require you to think strategically and plan your actions but it is a strategy game so I’m not sure what people expected.

Generals. Positional Warfare

Generals. Positional Warfare

You are a general. The war has begun, and your country expects only victory from you. The action takes place in the headquarters. Here are schematic images of battlefields. You place figures of your soldiers on the field and give them orders for the day. Test the strategist within yourself. Waiting for you:

  • Simultaneous moves - You don’t know your opponent’s intentions until you make a move. You will need to consider all the possibilities of the enemy before you give the final orders for the day. Only at night will you get a complete picture of what happened during the day. And you have to adapt to the changes.

  • Multiple battlefields at the same time - you must control the situation on all front lines. Develop the attack in all directions, or concentrate your forces on one-it’s up to you.

  • Addictive gameplay - you control a huge army. You will have to correctly allocate the reserve. Choose a convenient direction to attack, or an excellent position for a blind defense.

  • Various types of units - soldiers, engineers, tanks, artillery and aircraft. Each has its own distinctive features. And they also interact with each other in different ways.

  • Unique countries - Bluelands, Kingdom of Greendagar, Kredsanokia, Zoldania and Perputsk Republic. Each has its own specialization, landscape, and history.

Guide your country to victory in a turn-based strategy game Generals. Position Warfare.

Hexagun

Hexagun

Update: After the recent patch, the slowdowns seem to be gone (although it’s still a bit choppy). Thank you for that! Hexagun is a pretty nice puzzle game, ideal for short breaks. Well worth its money.

Original review:

Promising game. Sadly, slows down immensly after running a while, up to the point where it shows less than one frame a second and becomes unplayable. Puts about 25 % CPU load on a Ryzen 7 2700X and takes up 1,5 Gigs of RAM right from the start, which does seem to be a bit steep for what is essentially a browser game … Really needs to be optimized! Until then, I cannot recommend this, sorry. Would really like to play it because it is quite relaxing until it becomes unplayable.

Sysifos style activity in unique looking match-3 game that seems relaxingly way too easy yet autistically forces you to never quit because of cleverly set hard to notice pace in which it always adds some new clumsiness so that you feel urge to clean it, over and over, with two ambient melodies that annoyingly switch from one to the other over and over. Worth the few cents I bought it for, not more. I believe the game could be professionally developed into a very nice game if someone wanted. You can ask my help if that happens.
