Chimeras: Mortal Medicine Collector’s Edition

Chimeras: Mortal Medicine Collector’s Edition

As with all the Chimeras games, this is fun to play, smoothly running from one scene to the next. Some entertaining hidden object scenes (slightly on the easy side) and lots of actual game play in between. The story line, as you would expect, is rather silly, but who cares?! I have now played all 6 Chimera games and would recommend you buying them in the bundle, try one and see for yourself. Simply amusing, relaxing games highly recommended for whiling away a few hours.

You are a detective hired to recapture a convicted murderer. Said murderer is accused of poisoning the town’s children and killing his own daughter. But is that what happened?

HO scenes are fun, minigames challenging, and the plot engaging. Recommend in the bundle, just for ease of purchase.

I put yes, but actually it is a yes and no. The story is great as are the graphics. This game is really fun, as is the bonus game. The only problem is to short. I finished the game in like 5 hours which is to fast for me for the price I paid. When this game goes down in price you should definitely buy it.

Started very promising, with above average story and voice acting. But by the end of the main game both had tapered off into mediocrity. The bonus chapter was pretty bad in both departments.

Graphics and HoPs pretty good throughout, although nothing stood out. The collectables were quite fun, even though I don’t normally bother with them too much.

The main negative point, though, is that there is some massive performance problem somewhere. Over a few minutes play, the screen update (including the mouse tracking) ground to a halt and the game had to be restarted to be playable again. I’ve seen this on another HoP lately, but I’m not sure if it was the same engine. My PC is perfectly up to the job.

Great little game, good storyline, interactive game play was fun, puzzles were not too hard, graphics were great, game ran smoothly no glitches. Just wish there were more HOG in the game. Overall 9/10

I was going to click No however, this would be a good game for a preteen or teen. It is not scary and a bit juvenile.

This is the first Halloween Stories game that I have played and is overwhelmingly the absolute best ever hidden object game that I have ever played. It is the complete deal. Story line keeps you interested in the game play and the bonus chapter picks up where the main game leaves off. The interaction with characters is one that I myself have never encountered. I extremely enjoyed the added “liveliness” of some of the animations, (streets apart from anything I have seen) congrats to the entire team that are responsible for them :-) I have no problem at all recommending this game to anyone, in fact I would encourage you to buy this game. My many thanks to the entire team for an absolutely fantastic, unforgettable and pleasurable game. Thanx

Actually, a really fun hidden objects. Though, unfortunately in the current version it becomes more and more unplayable. Starting with issues regarding the cursor not showing the correct one and always switching back to the normal Windows one to having lags in the window changes or when you try to use an object. And now finally it came to the point, where there started sound bugs with sounds stacking in an infinte loop.

This is really a pity, as this game promises to be quite cool for relaxing.

A good Hidden object game, and with a few plot twists I wasn’t able to predict.

This game is not well polished. For at least 50% of the game the audio was incredibly bugged repeating the first syllable or noise until silence became the only solution. I got to the end of the game and I can’t finish it. To complete the game requires you to get 3 clues. I’ve picked up clue 1 and 3 and I’ve been effectively locked out of getting clue 2. I can see it, I just can’t access it, the whole area is locked as if I’m done when I’m not. The only way to finish the game is to just completely start over and make sure I get that second clue before I get the last clue. I took a chance on this game even though there were no reviews and I got burned. So here’s a review for posterity, do not buy.

I wanted to play something related to horror last night, so I browsed through my game list. I looked at some of the community screenshots and I stopped at this game. I do not regret playing it. It has a good story behind it, the Owlman, the feud among two villages and the relationship between the normal narrow-minded and the odd open-minded people. Read odd as supernaturally-gifted.

In this game, you play as a female detective in the main game that has to solve a case where a child is missing. Interrogate witnesses, find clues, deduct actions and find out who is behind all this, the real culprit. In the bonus chapter, you will get to play as one of the supernatural characters from the main story, only that now you will have to save the villagers from immanent evil lurking inside the old fort. Will you be able to solve the case and save those poor people? I’ll let you find out.

Thumbs-down only due to length. It was way too short. Get it on a discount ($6 US or less).

Other than that, I thought it was a better-than-average game for the genre. Had all the usual elements. Lots of stuff to find. The mini-games weren’t just the same ones you see over and over (though a couple were way too simple). It was a little too linear for my tastes, but not too bad.

I thoroughly enjoyed this game. I think that it would make a great game for the family to enjoy together. I thought that every aspect of this game was fantastic. There are all the normal things that you expect to find in the game, hint button etc plus there is the built in strategy guide if you need it. The bonus game carries through with the main story (personally I like that.) To everyone who had a hand in making this game I give you a great big Thank you. Thank you for the pleasant and most enjoyable experience. Worth every dollar I spent. Thanx
