Too Many Humans

Too Many Humans

Too Many Humans is a Real Time Strategy game, but instead of controlling the army, or a private security force as is often the case in such games, this time you are controlling zombies! Sounds good right!

Let’s take a quick look at the official story.

“You are Phthisis, the God of pestilence, decay and death. Humanity has degraded too far into greed and is causing irreversible damage to Gaia; your dear sister, and their planet. Something has to be done. But like every god, you have rules (omnipotence gets boring otherwise): you are not allowed to directly kill humans. But you can raise them back from the dead. And if the living ones die because of this… Eh shrug.

Too Many Humans is an RTS where you are Pthisis, the God of Decay who is on Earth to eradicate mankind with your zombie army but only because Humanity has exploited the Earth, one another and everything else they could get their greedy hands on. And you’re here to end this awful reign with questionable methods that are for the benefit of the planet, and everything else except maybe for mankind.

Rock n' Rush: Battle Racing

Rock n' Rush: Battle Racing

This is a simple racing/shooting hybrid based on classic games like Atari’s Badlands (arcade) and Super NES games RPM Racing (Radical Psycho Machines), Rock ‘N’ Roll Racing and, more recently, Death Rally that’s about finishing first while blowing up other racers.

There really isn’t too much content yet (only 4 tracks with some variations and 4 playable vehicles at the start) but it’s fun and-in single player mode-challenging, but it’s much more fun if you’ve got friends to play with. Not the kiddies though, as there is some NSFW language (occasional F-bombs). It looks good with a nice metal soundtrack and controls are surprisingly realistic, you can’t just go all out around corners or you might roll over, let alone go off track.

The other review (only one around at this time) is correct for the most part. This is not a game that you should spend money on (I got it in a bundle myself.)

Your “convertiplane” flies above the ground. All enemies are on the ground. All your bullets and rockets are fired in the direction the plane is facing, at a specific angle towards the ground. The “behind and above” perspective means that the only way you can do any sort of aiming is by lining up the target directly “due north” of the plane, and experimenting to see how far away you need to be for your shots to start hitting it. Thankfully the green HP bar on the targets is a big help to find out when your shots actually hit their mark.

This is not a good game. Read the other reviews for more details, but the worst parts are:

  • Controls/Maneuvering is basically non-existant. It’s simply tank controls. You can’t change speed. You can’t change altitude. You can’t even move laterally (strafe).

  • It’s impossible to aim. You can barely even see where you projectiles are firing to.

  • There’s no variety in levels.

Positives:

  • The helicopter model looks cool if you take a screenshot

Cube Destroyer Review - Raymond KT

The map is bigger than the screen, so you can get shot by enemies off screen. The AI seems very basic from what I have seen, just chase and shoot at you. Not necessarily a bad thing. Personally, I don’t understand the “old school game” good reviews, I’m old enough to call myself old school and this would be disappointing if it was on a free cassette on the front of a 80’s gaming magazine. It’s an average game for it’s price I guess…Though it’s very flat, has no introduction and is basically the same over and over again. It’s not original, I thought It would be more like Edge but I was wrong.

Real player with 6.9 hrs in game

It’s boring and unimaginative.

Your goal is to kill everything on screen and the only difference between levels (of which there are 75) is the placement of enemies and walls. That’s the whole game.

The graphics consist of 3D models of cubes and other blocky shapes, on top of flat surface (with short walls placed randomly here and there) with thoughtless textures on it (that often make it harder to play, especially in motion, by blurring together with bullets) and stock images of space as a background. I’m sorry but that’s not “minimalistic,” It’s just crap.

This game has 3 core concepts that influence every aspect of the game.

  • Challenge: Each tower has strengths and weaknesses, so do the enemies. It will take cunning strategy to figure out the best way to beat each map. The game offers multiple difficulty modifiers and custom challenges so you can challenge yourself as you see fit. The greater the challenge the better the reward.

This is the definitive co-op mayhem game! If you like chaos, mayhem and laughing with friends and family this is the game for you!

I played the hell out of this on Stadia. Now that it is no longer laggy as its STEAM it is even better. The controls are easy on a controller.

My Wife and I love playing it couch Co-Op, Lots of Easter Eggs and references to pop culture through out.

There is a solo mode but note you wont be able to do all the challenges - this is defiantly a co op focused game. Fun Solo, Crazy fun together!

Great party game !

  • Don’t necessarily have to play with friends - single player mode is just as fun. (especially destruction)

  • Great replayability for multiplayer, lots of ‘versus’ levels in addition to regular levels.

  • Nice soundtrack, songs are catchy.

  • Love the simlish-esque speak of the characters and cut scenes.

  • A variety of customisation options for characters (would always love to see more tho ;) )

Overall a fun game to play alone or with friends, only issues i had were due to my poor internet connection.

Nice little shooter, with surprisingly detailed world, Sin City inspired cutscenes and funny dialoque

Having just finished the main story on Nasty-difficulty, the highest you can get on the first playthrough i think i’ve seen most of this game. Maniac difficulty next, you will unlock it after finishing the game.

Top-down shooter, plays like you’d think it shuold. Only thing that bothered me in this was how the screen went black and white when my health was down. It made enemies sometimes hard to see, and my cursor was lost there as well because there’s a lot happening at times on the levels. Other than that, it was a cool effect. Few deaths because of the unclear screen, but nothing too annoying.

Real player with 11.7 hrs in game

With an assortment of top-down shooters to choose from, Splatter is a gem.

With the exception of one level segment and (to my knowledge) a bug only I’ve encountered thus far regarding the final boss, there aren’t many flaws to be found in the game beyond those that are minor (occasional spelling errors in the dialogue and item texts being the only thing that stands out readily and even then they aren’t hindering enjoyment of the game overall).

Dreamworlds has managed to nail exactly what makes this particular type of game fun to play vs. turning it into an interminably difficult chore. The dialogue and art-based cutscenes don’t drag on longer than they need to, leaving plenty of time to enjoy soaking multiple parts of a level’s floor with the blood of enemies.
