So i bought this game after seeing it on youtube i am quite impressed that one man made this game that’s insane. It’s got some fun mechanics i quite enjoyed the explosions and death animations, the reloading and difference between weapons is really cool as well. bolt action was my favourite by far. There’s definitley a few annoying bugs in the single player mode when you die you sometimes spawn back to a heap of enemies on top of your body and they just instantly kill you however that doesnt happen too often.

Split/Second

Split/Second

Split/Second is, hands down, my favorite racing game ever and one of my all-time best games. I bought this game for both the PC and the PS3 even before it came to Steam and I played the hell out of both versions. This is a great game that any racing fan should play at least once and is also a great entry game for those wishing to check out the genre.

The premise of this game is, frankly, not very original but sets up the game nicely. You are a contestant on the new explosive racing show Split/Second. During the course of the “season” you will have to compete in races to advance to the next “episode.” Finishing higher in events will get you more points and will allow you to progress further in the season. Each episode is capped off by an Elite Race, a race around the track against Split/Second’s best drivers. Beat each episode to win the season championship. Like I said, not very original but it gets the job done.

Split/Second is a year 2010 arcade racing game, which goes faster than NFS right from the start, and giving much more king-sized demolition than the Flatout. With that said, it is a mediocre game, which can be fun, but not for long. There are enough of breathtaking sequences, but they satisfy much better from the backseat, on youtube, rather than playing that yourself.

No doubt, it is an engrossing moment, when in the middle of race a transatlantic Boing crushing right on your head. And it is even better when you dodge this flight in the last second. Too bad, but for the most time of gameplay, you’ll be the one under the blast and not one around it.

Rock n' Rush: Battle Racing

Rock n' Rush: Battle Racing

This is a simple racing/shooting hybrid based on classic games like Atari’s Badlands (arcade) and Super NES games RPM Racing (Radical Psycho Machines), Rock ‘N’ Roll Racing and, more recently, Death Rally that’s about finishing first while blowing up other racers.

There really isn’t too much content yet (only 4 tracks with some variations and 4 playable vehicles at the start) but it’s fun and-in single player mode-challenging, but it’s much more fun if you’ve got friends to play with. Not the kiddies though, as there is some NSFW language (occasional F-bombs). It looks good with a nice metal soundtrack and controls are surprisingly realistic, you can’t just go all out around corners or you might roll over, let alone go off track.

Late For Work

Late For Work

This game is fun for the whole family. If you have multiple kids who love VR but can’t play many of the games due to content/multiplayer then this may be your game. Now given it’s in it’s early stages it doesn’t feel complete but I have not run into any major bugs. In my opinion at it’s core, is a solid, fun, game idea that I hope gets future updates.

The graphics are in a basic polygon style and it runs smooth on a GTX 980 with no problems for any players. The game play for the PC players take me back to N64 days in terms of graphics and controlling the tanks/planes (I mean this in a fun way).

Late for work is great fun with friends! I played maybe 20 minutes single player and it wasn’t anything amazing in my opinion but when I got together with friends we played for hours without stopping and that is where the game really shines. My favorite mode by far is last man standing where players pick up powerups to enable them to turn into random items in the environment to hide from the gorilla.

I would highly recommend this game for anyone looking for a fun local co op vr game.. I plan on playing this a ton in the future. If I were to rate this game in its current state I would give it a 8/10 which is pretty amazing since it is still in development, I imagine that score will only go up. My only wish is that they added better AI for single player and more game modes and maps but im sure that more will come with time.

I really want to see this game succeed because my friends and I absolutely love 8 Bit Fiesta, but it needs many more minigames as there are only 5 right now. I would not currently recommend until more content is added, but I want to support the devs.
