Crunch Element

Crunch Element

Crunch Element is a virtual reality “breach-n-clear” type of game. Taking inspiration from the likes of Rainbow Six: Siege, Crunch Element aims to bring a tactical PvE experience, while also separating itself from the crowd with its procedurally generated compounds. Given this is written at the launch of the early access release and was developed by a single person, I’ll be a bit more lenient on the small amount of content and minor bugs the game has.

The core gameplay loop goes like this. Set up your gear in the hideout, select a mission, secure the area, and move on to the next compound. This does start to feel a bit repetitive, but that can be attibuted to the fact that there is only one objective: defuse the bomb. Each compound is procedurally generated, offering unique experiences each time you boot up a level. The compounds are fairly destructible and give you enough tools to blow the place to hell.

So far playing for a little while…

Valve index with mamut pro gunstock

It’s an AMAZING cqb training aid. Really gets the “keep your body tight and low shillouete” rule down. As well as quick reaction.

The fighting is intense, quick, realistic, as well as extremely challenging and nerve racking.

I absolutely recommend this game to anyone looking for intense CQB gunplay. This does that SO well.

Things to improve, devs.

-grenade launcher physics: the grenades blow up even when in proximity of walls, I cannot be even near any obstacles when I fire it, I often blow mys of up when realistically, I should be able to float a grenade through several doorways if needed, it seems to hit things it should be, or not going past doorways.

some decent digital junk food. it’s pretty much infectinator in vr and fer $6 rounding up it’s worth it for some time wasting. edit got to the a rank levels and i got some bugbears

1. turret target prioritisation is bad. like trying to shoot unarmed civs halfway across the map while someone is stabbing them in the face kinda bad also don’t lead shots making them miss long range targets.

2.when enemies hit zero health they don’t die right away and linger for a second or 3 and they keep attacking during that delay not so bad in early game when is just cops but it’s annoying late game when they start throwing high dps enemies at you like the sword men

Fun game with interesting mechanics. It reminds me of Robotron but with the roles reversed. In this game you’re the one trying to eliminate all the humans with your arsenal of minions. It starts off easy but also like Robotron it allows for progression over many levels.

Pollute & Conquer

Pollute & Conquer

A strategy about ecology, where players can capture territory and build different buildings; And the choice between green and polluting buildings is important and affects both the world and the interaction between players. If both players make mistakes, then the world dies and both players lose.

  • CAPTURE TERRITORY

Buy neutral or enemy cells for the accumulated resources of money or influence. Surround the enemy or go to the other side of the map. Choose and purchase cells with the most profitable terrain: river, forest, desert, hill, snow, ocean.

  • BUILD BUILDINGS

Build buildings suitable for specific terrain, using the bonuses or disadvantages of each of them. Adapt to your opponent’s strategy. Build polluting, neutral, or cleaning buildings that use different resources: coal, oil, river flow, nuclear, sun, wind, fusion power, or hydrocarbon cleaning.

  • DEVELOP TECHNOLOGIES

Upgrade technologies of different buildings. Use coal with less pollution for the world. Learn to obtain solar energy more profitably than coal. Cleanse the world with advanced hydrocarbon capture technologies. Or open a new era of thermonuclear energy.

  • POLLUTE AND CLEANSE

Use the wealth from coal and oil usage, getting rich at an incredible speed, despite the world’s disasters that destroy you and your enemy. Or cleanse the world so you don’t die and gain massive influence.

  • CONTEST

Earn as much money and influence as possible to win. Survive the most difficult situations by finding counter-strategies against your opponent. Deal with global pollution. Or take advantage of the world’s chaos from pollution to disrupt the enemy’s plans and capture them.

  • PLAY WITH FRIENDS

Play with friends on the same device as a board game. The game provides great opportunities for a complete competition, using many different strategies and adaptations for the map, enemy actions, and disasters.

  • DEFEAT EVERY AI

The game has several levels of AI difficulty from the easiest for beginners who started acquainting with the world of strategies, to the most difficult for hardcore players who want to test their skills. Can you pass them all?

  • CHOOSE GAME TIME

Choose a map size from several options from a small map for 15-20 minutes to a large one for 40-60 minutes.

WORLD

Long ago, people believed that our world lays on 3 elephants that stand on a giant turtle. Those people were wrong about 2 things:

First - There are no elephants. That is silly. There is only the Turtle.

Second - Our world is just a planet, but there is another beautiful place wandering space, that is similar to Earth and rests on the Turtle.

An unprecedented economic war for territories and resources flares up on the turtle.

Will it and all life on it die in the chaos of pollution?

Or will intelligent beings come to their senses and prevent the end of the world by developing new technologies?

Pollute and Conquer, compromise and cleanse.

Siege Wars

Siege Wars

The best game I have seen from the style of Crush the castle or Angry Birds. Now Siege Wars is not a clone. If it was a “clone” Angry Birds would be too. Because Crush the castle is there too. Games like these have formed a style of shooting an enemy building by whatever weapon has become a type of game itself. And this game is in its own world and unique unlike the rest. You get insulted in Angry Birds when you lose and you can always expect what comes next. But in Siege Wars. it is always a surprise there are enemy types like in Angry Birds. And as well as different types of bricks. But what’s different is that there is one block you cannot break. Siege Wars also takes a place in medieval times and has a sad / adventurous feel to it. Its other unique feature is the upgrades and different types of weapons when in Angry Birds there is only a slingshot. Nomad1 or Alexei Garbuzenko and the rest of the team did some great coding and used some amazing imagination and thought into the levels and the game.

Real player with 26.0 hrs in game

This is a mixed bag, but if you get it for a low price, there is fun to be had for a few hours.

It does some things better than Angry Birds, and some things worse. It has some obvious, simple-to-fix design issues that make it seem like an unpolished cash-grab.

Edit: if you want to get 100% achievements in this game, it is not enjoyable, it is a tedious chore and it looks like the developers never tried to do that while testing, because the design flaws fly right into your face then. On Steam you cannot buy spells (which would make things very easy) like in the mobile versions through microtransactions, but the game was built around that feature it seems.

Robot Fighting

Robot Fighting

Very basic robot combat game. Controls are WASD and left click to operate the weapon system. The basic tactics are evasive driving using terrain and other opponents to weaken other robots then going in for the kill.

As you gain Silver and gold you can unlock better Armour and weapons.

Strikes me as a very basic fun game that you either get bored with pretty quickly or get drawn into if you are interested in unlocking upgrades.

Only bugbear is the price, got my copy free and its close to what it should be when on sale.

don’t touch this game. this has a always online feature and for a crappy single player game this is dumb. why, you may ask? when they close the server this will be unplayable and since it’s not very good i expect that to be sooner than later. the game also has a horrible grind. after a fight you can get about 100s points and maybe 4g points though S points are given at an ok rate G points are not and seem to be a left over from the app store to force you to buy them. then of all the good stuff want’s G point.

Dynamite Jack

Dynamite Jack

Dynamite Jack is a nice, albeit rather short, Bomberman-style game.

Personally, I really enjoyed playing through the campaign: most maps are indeed quite easy, but if you want the experience to be more challenging you can just decide to try and get all the secondary objectives on you first try, instead of coming back to collect them one at a time.

This, opposed to just going for the exit, does make the game more rewarding but doesn’t really increase its longevity: you will probably get to 100% completion in about 7-8 hours tops.

A good game, kinda reminiscent of the old Bomberman on Sinclair ZX Spectrum.

Place bombs, collect codes to doors, hide in shadows and/or start ultra mayhem blast chaos!

I didn´t expect much and the game surprised me. Game mechanics are fine. Sometimes there are even puzzles with more than one solution, because you can bomb your own way forward (i mean, literally - you make path in terrain with your bombs). Even though I suffered frustration, I blame my fat clumsy fingers more than the game itself.
